Friendly welcome, upgraded to swim up room which I would highly recommend. Small issue with payment which was promptly rectified, room was amazing with a very comfortable bed. Complimentary snacks and sodas with excellent bathroom amenities. Location cannot be beaten right on the corner of walking street. Pai has a very relaxed vibe and this hotel continues that theme. Would highly recommend

Endroit idoine pour s’installer à Pai pour quelques jours. Niché dans un soi calme mais près de l’endroit le plus fréquenté de la ville appelé ‘’Walking street’’. En parfait adéquation avec l’esprit de la ville et de la région. Belle maison avec six chambres de qualité. Très propres. Idem pour la salle de bain. Parquet très agréable. Décoration sobre et de bon gout. On est accueilli par l’hôte des lieux, native de l’endroit et ancienne enseignante, qui visiblement aime recevoir et s’intéresse à vous. Elle prépare le petit-déjeuner avec un vrai café. Un endroit où l’on se sent bien, qu’on aime retrouver le soir et se lever le matin. On le quitte avec regret. Merci.

I was hesitant about my stay at Breeze of Pai because of a few reviews people had about the owner, and I was a female traveling solo. However, I found him to be friendly and helpful, and kind of like a dad/uncle vibe. I'd say this definitely has the cleanliness and design of a 2-star hotel, maybe even a hostel. But I understand the type of tourists that visit Pai are OK with this. I think I just discovered I'm a bit pickier with future accommodations. There were ants in the upper corner of the shower, and the water pressure and temperature weren't great. I just found myself trying to shower as quick as possible. Two bars of soap are provided, so coming from hotels that had shampoo, conditioner, and body wash was an experience. I found myself Googling how to detect bed bugs but there were any. All in all, just my paranoia and snobbery setting in. I'd say if you're good with that backpacker, bare bones lifestyle this place is perfect. I was able to park my scooter rental easily and it's walkable to the walking street and everything else. And really close to the bus stop from Chiang Mai. There's also a ton of plants which are lovely. And I didn't realize it until I was checking out, but there were free bananas for guests at the counter. All in all, I'd say there are similarly priced hotels that seemed nicer that I kind of wish I had looked more into.

Mrs. Kung and her hostel is a gem in Pai. Conveniently located in the city centre, offers quiet and relaxed stay. Hostel has two big rooms all together and only two bathrooms. As I was alone, that wasn't an issue at all. Please note the beds are quite hard (which I like). There is enough storage place and lockers for any valuables. Just what the good hostel requires. Hostel has a little cafe which was closed at the time (COVID) but it's a comfortable place if you need to do some work. And also a very nice and spacious garden. Mrs. Kung will help you with anything you need so don't be afraid to ask.

The Canary really gives your moneys worth. The location is just outside the main drag so you will not hear all the music and parties, but you can walk there in 5 minutes. Cross the river. So you have a lovely river view and quiet time but away from the hustle and buzzle. Many different options on accomodation, depending on your budget. The only problem is no breakfast. In a beautiful tranquil nice setting like this - you would really love to enjoy a breakfast instead of hitting the busy mainsteet right away in the morning, wouldnt you ? Cause thats where you have to go, theres no restaurants around. Thats a bummer, i dont understand why they dont serve breakfast when every other accomodation around does it. Why ?

We stayed here for over a week during our time in Pai and enjoyed it. Not only is it cheap it has a good location that is very walkable to nearby restaurants, shops and scooter rental outfits. We got a lower room (112) that was very spacious, had a comfy bed, nice couch, great AC mini fridge and a small balcony outside. Our room was very quiet, but we did have some noisy upstairs neighbors at one point. Our friends had a smelly room at the beginning and the staff did their best to rectify, but they had to switch rooms. We stayed here in mid March so there is smoke in Pai which gave our bathroom a smoky smell in the morning. Wifi is spotty at this hotel and we had issues during our stay, but the hotel has many access points you can switch between.
