Hotel Romantik di Palermo

My wife and I spent a weekend here in September. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of the old town. This helps reduce the walking distances. If its your first trip to Palermo, be prepared to walk the old town while dodging the scooters and pedestrians. Being in the city center can be loud, as the hotel is on the main street thru town. The rooms are older and a bit smaller than modern hotel, but all the services are present. The rooms were not spotless, as being an older hotel can be a challenge. However, it was never ”dirty”. The staff was excellent. We departed at 5:00AM for the airport and the staff had prepared a breakfast to go. These are the little things that make a big difference.

Un magnífico hotel, con unas instalaciones de lujo en un antiguo palazzo en pleno centro histórico de Palermo. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y cómodas, con todos los servicios. El servicio muy correcto y dispuesto. Tiene un piano bar, terraza garden y el entorno muy bueno, justo en pleno centro de todas las atracciones turísticas de Palermo y zonas de ocio y restauración, sin ningún ruido ni problemas en absoluto. Recomendable absolutamente.

I spent over 4 hours researching Palermo hotels for what would be our last hotel on our two week European honeymoon. I am so glad I found Hotel Palco. I did note in my booking that we are honeymooning and we got the massive Romeo & Juliet suite. They created a cute display for us which was appreciated. The room was huge, clean, and so comfortable. There are two big balconies that open up onto the theater square. Air conditioning worked great too. It faced directly the Teatro Massimo, and despite the area being pretty rowdy until 2 am, I barely heard anything (with ear plugs). The balcony doors are duplicated and very thick (see picture), and the walls definitely have sound proofing. The tub and shower were perhaps the biggest I had ever seen (see picture) in a European hotel. The tub has jets and lights up too. The staff were very fantastic. I must note that on the morning traveling by train to Palermo I (think) I sprained my foot! Whatever it was, it was bad and I could barely walk. So when I showed up to Palco i needed some way to find crutches or a boot. Stefania was very diligent in helping me find medical care, but we couldnt find anything near by, and just when we were about to call an ambulance to go to a hospital just to get crutches ( Palermo...) they found an ortho supply shop right around the corner and I got crutches and a boot and my trip was saved! Shout out to Giacomo for being so friendly as well and giving me the ice packs at night time! Lastly, breakfast was small (its like a 4 or 5 room hotel), but just perfect for us. Very good quality of the selections. This hotel is an absolute steal in value and I highly recommend it.

A unique experience in a fantastic building in the heart of the historic centre of Palermo from where you reach in 10/15 minutes walking the city's most important attractions. Also, the seaside is easily reachable by bus and train for a day trip. Excellent management and polite service are always available to help you with anything desired. Our apartment was amazingly comfortable and the terrace was perfect for relaxing or enjoying local food with the family. The bed is a good size and is very comfortable, very important for a relaxing good sleep after a day out in the city. A welcoming B&B in a top spot where we will be happy to return anytime again when coming back to Palermo.

We stayed here in April 2024 for 4 nights. We are an Irish couple. I chose this hotel for its location - it is so central to everything in Palermo - everything is within walking distance. I had emailed the hotel for an airport transfer as our arrival flight was quite late (after 21:00) This cost €50 (very fair) - you are given specific instructions about the details when you book this service. Barbara welcomed us and said hello the next morning. The young gentleman who checked us in (I feel bad not to have asked him his name) He was so friendly, welcoming and was so informative. He is such an asset to this hotel. I forgot to book a transfer back to the airport for the flight home….there are many signs saying they need at least 48 hrs notice to book but I didn’t read them - my fault. The young gentleman was still so helpful and able to secure us a taxi back - we had to leave around 3am 🙄 for our red eye flight home. The reception is part time - day hours. I booked a bottle of Prosecco, fruit and chocolate as a welcome package for us - €30 (the strawberries were almost off but the Prosecco was lovely) they had put it in the mini bar so it was nice and cool. Our room was huge and had a balcony….tiny but absolutely perfect…2 chairs to people watch. Bellissimo! The only thing I didn’t know about this property was that not every door (picture very old building inside a big wooden doorway with multiple other doors on multiple different levels……) not every door belongs to the hotel….I didn’t know this. In summary….perfect location & beautiful view from rooftop for breakfast. Great hotel to explore Palermo from.
