Korta Escape

We visited korta escape for 2days on a safari trip to jawai. The cottages were very nice. The whole place was full of trees just like a forest. You can do bird watching inside the resort also. There were peacocks all around as well as common kingfisher, purple sun bird, crow pheasant, koel to name a few. The home cooked food was great. Evenings it was nice to grab a drink with Nirbhayji where he also showed sky full of stars and planets and a bit about the place's history. We went on a safari twice including a trip to jawai backwaters which was personally arranged by Nirbhayji. We saw leopards on both days.

Excellent hospitality. Homely food although not many options but super delicious, no complaints. Clean and spacious cottages. Peaceful and serene location. Horses encounter were a surprise bonus. Overall a must visit if you want to stay in Jawai bandh and experience all kinds of safaris.

Very good property , good hospitality, well maintained, spacious and clean rooms , stay is an experience , bonfire arrangements , food was good , owner was very helpful and arranged safari for us and other activities. Property was huge with beautiful landscape ..

Visited in April 24 and was completely mesemerized by the peace, tranquility, connect with nature of this place spread across 50 acres nestled in between imposing mountains and having well appointed cottages, swimming pool, stud farm, homecooked farm to table food. There were all kinds of birds ranging from the tiny hummingbird to the beautiful peacock all in their full glory and true habitat. Taking a dip in the swimming pool in complete silence from manmade noises and only the sounds of such birds was truly an experience for someone born and brought up in a city ! Owner thakur saheb is a true learned gentelman and great to have a conversation with. Staff is non intrusive and willing to follow instructions without much ado. Jeep safari arranged on rocky mountains and jawai dam was exhilarating with almost surety of spotting a leopard in its full glory. Son of soil approach of resort away from all corporatised and standardised hotel chains is a must have experience !

Korta escape is actually a reality of how beautiful slow life can be. It's a 4-5 hour drive from the Udaipur airport. The property is an example of how humans can benefit nature. The owner, Nirbhay Singh has created this with so much passion and his mother Laad ji adds that touch of warmth and love to this place. This place serves authentic home cooked Rajasthani meals. On request they made a spread of Laal Maas, Panchkuta, Gatte ka sabzi, amazing arrays of achaars and the Malai pyaaz ki sabzi was the best. It's a quiet getaway with so much to explore amidst nature. It's carefully designed with 5 natural trees/ shrubs to support the extreme weather in Rajasthan. With an abundance of amla trees, neem and henna shrubs. Nirbhay Singh ji also took us for a bush high tea in the forest which took him years to build. We spotted a wild camel there, amongst other animals like blue bucks and jackals. The best part about the trip was when we showed interest in the food and history of the place, Laad ji actually showed me around her vegetable garden, showed how the property has evolved and explained the history behind the dishes made there. And how she learnt to cook much later in life and just loves hosting people. This place has a horse stable as well with adorable horses to pet! This place is a hidden gem and is must visit.
