This hotel was wonderful, the service was fantastic for the most part. I say for the most part because I had to wait over 30 minute for a few bottles of water and needed to call twice. Also they don't really know much about technology...I figured out the TV myself and the A/C had a timer set to go off in the middle of the night, I called downstairs, no one came so I figured it out for myself. For a luxury property it would have been nice to have a makeup mirror in the bathroom and a box of tissues ( I bought my own box). One last critic would have been great to have the serve of someone to iron your clothes . We also needed adaptors so we could use our electronics (and my friend with me was from Rio, but still needed one as there was no way to plug in your cell phone charger). One more HUGE thing, the floor in the shower is a bit slippery and there is no handrail, nothing to grab onto, a bit dangerous, no matter what your age and I would have like brighter lightbulbs in the bathroom. On a Positive note (and there were many) Room was clean and bed huge and comfy and quiet at night for sleeping. Double sinks in the bathroom a plus. Everyone was super friendly and breakfast was fantastic. Pool and gardens were lovely, lush and tropical. The ice cream shop Miracolo was a dream, we went for ice cream every afternoon, not to be missed. And the restaurant Pupus was truly exceptional, the service was 5 stars and the food was prenominal. We have traveled extensively and can say with all sincerity that this is one of the most lovely, charming, beautifully decorated, wonderfully run small luxury boutique properties we have ever had the pleasure to be welcomed into. We stayed in the ”white room,” an oasis of calm and beauty. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed as if we were old friends of the owners of a gorgeously renovated mansion in the historic town of Paraty. Our bed was beyond comfortable (and surrounded by a mosquito net - how romantic! - that the staff let down in the evening and tied up again in the morning). Water pressure in the shower was excellent and the toiletries were delightful -smelling and gentle on the skin. Fresh filtered water was delivered to the room every night before bed and available in the reception area of the hotel at no charge. Every night on turndown, we received a little surprise from the casa - chocolates but also souvenirs from the casa like a magnetic bookmark or a branded recycled materials tote bag. Since guests are asked not to wear their outdoor shoes inside, guests are given a pair of Havainas flip flops upon check-in, and you can take them home upon departure. The breakfast was delicious, freshly made and quite varied. Most importantly, I cannot sing enough praises to the staff. This is a truly exceptional and warm group of people, every one of them. We felt so welcome from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. We have rarely felt so much genuine pleasure from staff at a hotel - so kudos to both the obviously carefully chosen staff members as well as to management for fostering this atmosphere. When we left, we vowed to each other that we would return.

Hotel muito bom ! Recepcionista muito educada, atenciosa e simpática! Café da manha com variedades e gostoso. Quartos legal e confortável . Os passeios quando fecha junto com a hospedagem são legais também. Jacuzzi aquecida e piscina bem grande. Unico ponto que das 4 jacuzzi somente uma é aquecida e só pode 30 minutos por quarto. Poderiam aquecer as outras uma vez que o tempo que passamos todas as outras estavam vazias.

Stayed here with my family for a week and the place was incredible, and I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Paraty. It's a bit far from the historic center so you'll need a car to move around and explore. ROOM We stayed at Suíte Master, the room was very big and clean. The bathroom was very spacious, with good toiletries included and a shower with nice water pressure and temperature. It had a large TV with many channels available, a good aircon system, and a mini fridge. I liked that the minibar was empty so we could buy our own drinks and keep them cold. Even though the room was in front of a pool and the car parking, it wasn't noisy at all. It was nice to chill and have a drink on the veranda after a day out. The bed was comfortable with a nice mattress and pillows. STAFF All the staff was very friendly and helpful in any area of the hotel, but especially the restaurant staff. RESTAURANT The food at the restaurant was really good, we ate there almost every day because of it, and everything we tried from the menu was great. The drinks were also very good, especially Jorge Amado. The buffet breakfast was excellent with so many options to choose from. The only negative was the burger place, I actually didn't try the burger myself, but I went with the family one night for dinner and they all complained that the meat was overcooked. I liked that I could sit at the burger place with them, but order meals from the restaurant menu. POOLS The 3 pools are very nice, but only one is heated, and it was always very crowded, especially in the evening. The other 2 pools were very nice during the day but a bit cold in the evening, but also I didn't visit during summer. I didn't appreciate that people are allowed to drink in the pool, so people had their beer bottles with them inside the pool, or bottles sitting at the edge of the pool, which can be quite dangerous if a bottle breaks and glass falls inside the pool. Not sure it's even allowed, but there was no one stopping people from doing it. FACILITIES The gym seemed quite large and nice, but I didn't use it. The sauna was good. The kid's area was nice and a great addition to keep the niece entertained, but it was good fun for the adults as well. I enjoyed the massage chairs as well. WIFI The wifi worked well throughout all the areas of the hotel
