Upon arrival in Paris, we spent seven nights at this charming and elegant boutique hotel. A genuinely pleasant hotel located in the Latin district of the left bank. As Paris hotels go, this would still be expensive and considered luxury. However, it has a lot going for. Beginning with the location: It is a short block away from the Seine River overlooking the Notre Dame Cathedral. It is about one block away from the Shakespeare and Company bookstore. We comfortably walked to all the major sites of Paris. However, taxis are plentiful, and the hotel can arrange as needed. As it is in the heart of Paris, the hotel is on a noticeably quiet, narrow street. The rooms were very nice with modern amenities. We have been to Paris a few times and I would judge the room we stayed in is larger. The bathroom and especially the shower were spacious. We had windows overlooking the front courtyard. Paris was a bit hot and humid while we were there. The air conditioner was just OK, but we found that opening the two windows (we were on the fifth floor) helped. Each night we found chocolates, wine, and other items that made for a pleasant experience, thanks to the PR manager Maria, who made our stay a bit more enjoyable and welcoming. Thank you, Maria! What really makes an exceptional hotel, however, are the staff. And… for that reason, we consider this hotel to be an exceptional hotel!! The staff were extremely helpful and sincerely friendly. We were made to feel right at home. We were always being checked upon to see if everything was to our satisfaction. We ate breakfast each day in the hotel cafeteria. They served an exclusive buffet of a variety of breads, cheeses, meats, yogurt, juices, and many more Parisian delicacies. They also offer eggs and coffee made to order. Service was extremely good. They took care of all our bookings and made arrangements for taxis to Paris Disneyland and other areas through their preferred vendors, so we always had great drivers. I HIGHLY recommend this hotel for its location, extremely brilliant staff, and the physical facilities. Suggestion: If you are planning for taxis be sure to understand if the taxi is considered a private transfer or a normal metered taxi. Not a big deal, we took a taxi a short distance to the train station for 50 Euros. That is the going rate for a private transfer.

I was a guest in the hotel for almost a week. Don't expect large rooms and a breakfast room with an endless buffet. But the room is cozy and equipped with everything you need, some with a balcony perfect for your instagram photos. And above all it is clean, the thing that matters most when you stay several days in a location. The breakfast room is small, but there is everything you could want for breakfast, apart from a good Italian cappuccino instead of which you are always offered a Caffè au lait. The food is good and fresh, and the trays are constantly being filled. The atmosphere is familiar, and all the staff is super friendly and ready to do their utmost to make your stay pleasant and enjoy Paris to the fullest. But the strong point of the Hotel is undoubtedly the location. Located in front of the Sorbenne University, very close to the Latin quarter, it is 200-300 meters from the area with all the restaurants, so perfect for the evening, and also many of the main attractions are within walking distance: 700 meters from Notre Dame, 1.5 km from the Louvre, 2.0 km from the Orsay Museum, 3.0 km from the Orangerie, 5.0 from the Eiffel Tower and Sacre Coer. So much so that we always liked to move on foot to enjoy the walk along the banks of the Seine and the Jardin du Luxembourg. But the metro stops are also within walking distance, as well as the train station to go to Disneyland. Not to mention that if you arrive from Orly Airport, being on the Left Bank (Rive Gauche), even a taxi costs less, €35 instead of €41 (2023 price). At CDG, on the other hand, it costs more. Ultimately, for me the price-performance ratio is also right. In short, the right hotel in a perfect location for us. I am happy with my choice, I can only recommend this hotel, and for sure when I come back to Paris, The Hotel will be Mercure Paris La Sorbonne again.

Hotel Central Saint Germain

I have just got back from my trip to Paris where I stayed in this hotel. The hotel itself was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast was nice, not many options but there was some nice food. However, we stayed in the room 106 which was situated right opposite a bar that closed at 3am! It was the loudest bar near us which was typical. I know it’s not the hotels fault but just bare in mind when you book, see if you can specify which room. Unfortunately the hotel staff on the night shift wasn’t very helpful. We stayed for 3 nights and we were told we couldn’t swap rooms either night! We asked on multiple occasions and their response was ask in the morning. I just wanted to let people know as I didn’t sleep a wink the whole trip and don’t want the same for any one else.

Good points : spotlessly clean, modern and very central Room has a phone, alarm clock, iron and built in wardrobes,a safe and drawers to put stuff in BBC world news available on a 40' TV (all the rest were French) Staff very friendly and helpful Bad points : Tiny rooms,I was in a privilege room and frankly would be worried about the under privileged It was so tiny, you wouldn't swing a cat in it There was no balcony, you'd be forgiven for thinking there might be having seen the website and you'd certainly wonder what you paid extra for There is a window that opens wide You will have an awful lot of street noise Breakfast : if you want a fried egg or an Omelette, you're handed the pan and the cooker is turned on for you.. There are some luke warm 'hot breakfast items, cold meats and various continental breakfast items Coffee is brought to your table for you (from a machine I think),nothing else Basically you're getting a 2.5* functional experience here Would I stay again? Not really Too small and too basic
Hotel Cluny Square

We spent months looking for a suitable hotel in the 6th Arrondissement after the hotel we have been staying in for years was sold. After reading many reviews of hotels in the area, we settled on Hotel Cluny Square and we were not disappointed. The room was perfect and well designed. Having a terrace with French doors made for an authentic stay - and a with views of the Eiffel tower. As other reviews indicate, plenty of choice for cafes, crepes etc just underneath the hotel. Also great supermarkets nearby selling rotisserie chicken (Franpix is the best by far) Top tip: Book directly with the hotel on their website and breakfast is included. Also, if you have mobility issues there is a small staircase to climb with your suitcases before reception. A lift will then take you to your room. We had no problem at all with 2 large suitcases. Metro right at door step and buses readily available. Considering the high costs of hotel rooms in Paris, this hotel is very reasonable. Would not hesitate booking again. Highly recommended.

This hotel is located in a great area of Paris. You're walking distance from some remarkable land marks i.e. Cathedral of Notre Dame. However, this hotel/building has been around for a very long time and this might explain why everything is so very compact. The lobby is super small and that goes for a ”standard” room as well. Really really small. BUT! the room is always immaculately cleaned every day. Where the hotel offers breakfast, is really cool looking but once again very small. I, personally, would not return due to the size and not having the option of a bath tub. So, if not having a lot of room is ok with you, I encourage you to give this hotel a try.
Hotel de Suez
4.2/539 Ulasan
We chose the Hotel de Suez for its location in the 5th arrondissement ... walking distance to restaurants and cafes, and very close (approx 200 metres) to several metro lines. The room was small, but that's expected in Paris, especially in an older building. The rooms had been renovated fairly recently, and were modern. The ensuite bathroom was spacious by Paris standards. The air conditioning worked well, very helpful on days that reached over 35 degrees C. Our room was at the back of the hotel. While we had a window, it overlooked the hotel/building behind and had no view. But this made it nice and quiet. Reception staff were helpful. We had the continental breakfast in the lobby a few times. Recommend this hotel!
