We had a wonderful stay at Leisure Inn Penny Royal Hotel. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, making it easy to relax after a day of exploring Tasmania. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always happy to assist. The location is excellent—just a short walk to Cataract Gorge and close to the Launceston CBD, making it convenient to visit local attractions, restaurants, and shops. We also loved the unique historic charm of the property and the beautiful surroundings. (Leisure Inn Penny Royal) Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and we would definitely stay here again. We highly recommend Leisure Inn Penny Royal Hotel to anyone visiting Launceston. Thank you for making our trip so enjoyable!

We loved our beautiful and very comfortable room in this characterful property. Very clear instructions provided for easy self check in. Continental breakfast including delicious fresh fruit salad and riendly service.

The hotel staffs were welcoming, friendly and parking was also included in our stay. As we are a family of 5 pax, the hotel has provided two rooms which are interconnected. This makes it convenient for us as a family to connect. The rooms were clean and tidy with great showers. Breakfast was included in our stay with a great selection of ala carte breakfast, with good selection of beverages and coffee. Highly recommended.

The hotel itself is very beautiful, great location as well. However the room feels very stuffy, the balcony is locked only a small window is left open and the screen window is incredibly dusty, I don’t think it’s ever been cleaned. Also the housekeeping is very unprofessional, she came straight in without even knocking the door around 9am while we are still sleeping, just saying hello when unlocking the door. Unhappy about that.

We enjoyed our two-night stay at the hotel. The staff at the reception were incredibly accommodating, offering us a ground floor room without even needing to be asked. This was especially helpful given my husband's mobility limitations. The room itself was clean and comfortable, with a queen-sized bed that was perfectly fine for us. The location was excellent, with numerous restaurants nearby. We were pleasantly surprised to find complimentary bottled water in the room. One of the highlights of our stay was the stunning sunset views from our room, which made for a truly memorable experience.

Good location, can walk into town. Basic amenities and services. Liked the guest laundry available. Car park on a slope so parking was a challenge with elder parents (but many hilly estates in Launceston so it’s expected).
