Our stay at Spicers Vineyard Estate in the Hunter Valley was truly exceptional! The property is set amidst beautiful vineyards, offering a serene and picturesque atmosphere perfect for a relaxing getaway. The rooms were spacious and elegantly appointed, with every detail considered for comfort and luxury. We dined at éRemo Restaurant, the sister restaurant of Spicers Guesthouse, and it was a culinary delight. Every course was beautifully presented and bursting with flavor—the Binnie Beef Hunter Valley Wagyu was a standout! The accompanying Thomas wine was superb and perfectly paired with the meal. We also enjoyed a morning walk along the valley’s scenic trail and were greeted with the sight of hot air balloons floating over the hills—a mesmerizing experience. The entire stay was seamless, the staff were attentive, and the setting couldn’t have been more perfect. Highly recommended for anyone looking to explore the Hunter Valley in style!

We stayed at The Carriages Boutique Hotel and Vineyard and it was easily one of the highlights of our trip. This was a place I’d wanted to stay at for a long time, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. The location was beautiful and peaceful, surrounded by nature, birdlife, and the quiet atmosphere of the Hunter Valley. On our first night, we even had the whole property to ourselves, which made the experience feel extra special. We enjoyed a lovely dinner nearby and were able to walk back through the gardens to the hotel afterwards, which added to the charm of the stay. Breakfast was simple but perfect, delivered in a basket and ideal for a relaxed morning. One of the best moments was lighting the fireplace on our final night and enjoying a quiet evening with a glass of wine. The location, service, atmosphere, and overall experience were all fantastic, and this will definitely be one of our fondest memories from the trip.

It was a lovely stay. Nice room, clean and tidy, the complimentary drink was a nice gesture. The property is huge and peaceful for a relaxing walk around. It's convenient to wineries and restaurants. The only thing didn't really work for us was the air conditioner, couldn't figure out how to turn it on.

Amazing stay. Room was super clean and modern. Love the espresso machine and they also provided milk. Really great basic necessities and the shower amenities smell fantastic. Fantastic place to relax and chill, overlooking the vineyards, watching kangaroos hop, and cows grazing the fields. It’s exactly what a getaway should be. Easy to check in and out. Thank you.

Lovely spot for a weekend in Pokolbin, set way back from the road in a picturesque clearing filled with wallabies! So nice to sit on the balcony and watch the sun go down as they fed on the grass. Lovely spacious room with kitchenette and a big bathtub. Beautiful bathroom products by Jurlique was a nice touch ! The bed was a little firm for me but my husband loved it. Knocked off a star for cleanliness as you could see the walls were quite dusty when the up lights were on. It didn’t feel super private , you could hear all conversation when guests were out on their balconies.

Had a fantastic stay at Harrigan’s Hunter Valley, where the comfortable accommodation and relaxed pub-style vibe made it the perfect base for exploring the region. All the top wineries are conveniently close by, just a short drive or walk away, including spots near Hunter Valley Gardens, allowing easy access for tastings and sightseeing without long travels. The food at the bistro was decent — hearty pub meals in a lively atmosphere with live music—creating an unbeatable evening vibe after a day out. Highly recommend for anyone seeking convenience, good eats, and that classic Hunter Valley charm.

Best place to relax with family, beautiful views a lot of activities for children to do and yes the restaurants food was amazing. Surely would like to go back again.

During my recent stay at the Leisure Inn in Pokolbin, Hunter Valley, I found the accommodation to be quite pleasant overall. The room was comfortable and well-appointed, and the location was fantastic for exploring the beautiful Hunter Valley region. However, there were a few drawbacks. One notable issue was the presence of mosquitoes in the room, which impacted our comfort. Additionally, there was no food service available after 8 PM, which, while clearly stated in the booking details, would be a nice improvement if extended into later hours. Moreover, the rooms are somewhat connected, so noise from neighboring rooms can be easily heard. This might affect the overall privacy and tranquility. Another point to consider is the absence of air conditioning in the room, which can make the stay a bit uncomfortable during warmer weather. In terms of future enhancements, offering more kid-friendly activities or amenities could be a great addition and would make the stay even more enjoyable for families. Overall, the Leisure Inn offers a charming stay with room for improvement in comfort and amenities. With a few upgrades, it could become an even more appealing destination.

Great location, several wineries very nearby. The owners were helpful to check us in remotely using key pin and drop box. The pool and grounds are relaxing on a warm day after touring the valley. The property looks “rustic”, in keeping with provincial charm. everything functioned well and we hope to rebook on future visits.
