LLuke Chen Q.T.My boy and myself have had a beautiful stay with Guanzhai Junlan hotel for his school holiday. Mountain view is stunning, room is very nicely renovated, food is excellent, and most importantly staff are very incredibly helpful, providing detailed directions and recommendations for local restaurants. Highly recommended for your Fujian / Hakka itinerary!

He recommended a tour guide who took me to visit the important tulous, which is necessary because they are far apart. Food wise it was delicious and Ah Wen (or Stephen) tailored a one person set for me consisting of a variety of Hakka dishes in a small size. I'm very happy to have stayed here.

From the moment we arrived, we were treated not as tourists, but as guests of the family. The hosts – the Father, Mother, and their Son – are the soul of this place. They are incredibly friendly and go so far above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and special.
The Son was our main point of contact and coordinated everything for us with great patience. He arranged our visit to the magnificent 振成楼 (Zhencheng Lou, the ”Prince of Tulou”), with Mother sharing fascinating stories about its history that you won't find in guidebooks.
But where this family truly shines is in their genuine care. As overseas visitors, we were completely unfamiliar with local transportation and booking systems for our next destination. The Son sat down with us, helped us navigate the Chinese online systems, booked our train tickets, and gave us detailed instructions for the rest of our journey. He spent a significant amount of his own time to ensure we were set up for success, which was a gesture we will never forget.
The homestay itself is a wonderful experience. The room was clean and comfortable. Decent simple home-cooked breakfast with the family was priceless.
In summary:

MM520602****超乎預期的一次入住！先表揚前台小姐姐的熱情服務，在就是房間的採光太好了，一進門就被滿屋的陽光驚艷到了，窗外的景色綠意盎然，室內佈置得温馨雅緻，而且打掃得非常乾淨。酒店旁邊是幾十年的老店，午飯順便解決了，味道也是極好！距離古城3-5分鐘就到了，吃住玩都方便，而且床品柔軟舒適，晚上睡得特別香。強烈推薦給在意居住環境的朋友！

Location is right next to a Tulou. but it is not the Tulou with the tour.
Attended the dinner shoe next door using the discount coupon. It is probably one of the lamest show I have seen in China. Very loud and piercing compère. Don’t waste your money on the show.
The free guided tour is only for 王子土楼. The free guided tour is good. You may need your own transport there. You still need to pay for your tickets into the 土楼。 the guide’s relatives live there. Basically she will bring you to her house or cousin’s house for tea. And the tea is expensive. You get the drift.

PPengguna TetamuBeautifully designed and renovated earth building! It was nice to get to stay in one of the tulous itself. We rented the whole building of 6 rooms for our family. All rooms are on the 2nd floor. 5 out of 6 rooms have a bathroom that is on a separated floor from the bedroom. There’s only one room that has bathroom on the same level as the bedroom. So, it may not be ideal for the elders. The hotel is situated in a quiet residential area. There’s a small stream of river flowing in front of the house throughout the village. Very serene. We got to see locals living their usual lives, farming and picking crops. However, it’s a bit far from any main tulou sights. The staff were very nice, but lack knowledge of the attraction sights.

SSarah PotterThe hotel was perfectly located across the road from the Prince Tolou and just a short walk to the evening bon fire show. I loved the country feel about this location!
The owner helped arrange a driver for me to collect me from the train, drive me to a number of locations, and return me to the train station the next day. She arranged tickets to the bon fire show, took me there on the back of her bike and offered to pick me up (I chose to walk throigh the little dark streets because it was a lovely evening). She invited me to sit and drink tea with her and her friends, and made me feel like part of the family. As a westerner, the bed was a little hard for me, but i was very comfortable in my room. A must see area of China!
