AARC5555The hotel is very new and has nice rooms with a great view on the higher floors. Especially the balcony is nice. The rooms are spacious and bright, equipped with all necessities like a safe or a hairdryer. For special equipment like a kettle you need only ask at reception.
The check in was quick and convenient, rooms can be reached quickly by elevator. There is one restaurant and one Café, the breakfast buffet in the restaurant is rich and tasty.
Also the rooftop bar with an indoor and outdoor are including the small infinity pool is great, but I imagine it being crowded during high season.
The location of the hotel is decent yet not perfect. It is roughly a 5-10 min walk to the nearest Tram or Subway station (probably El Maresme Forum) and there is also a big shopping mall. The beach is a 20 min walk, alternatively you can use bus H16 only 5 min from the hotel to get to most beach areas along the coast. There are also some small shops and bars nearby, but not the best. Now the downside, the hotel seems to be next to a rundown living quarter with shady people hanging around.
To get from the hotel to the city by subway or tram, plan around 25-30 min.
The service was friendly and the room was cleaned very well every day. Only once it happened that at around 11:30 a hotel employee knocked our door angrily and said loudly „Checkout“, but we have booked for several more days. He apologized after I told him, obviously he got the wrong room, but still this communication error shouldn’t happen in a 4star hotel. Also one day we didn’t receive the free bottle of water even though we disposed of the previous empty one. Besides that, everything was good.
All in all I would recommend this hotel for its nice views over the city, the new and clean rooms and the competitive prices. The city as well as the beach require 15-30 minutes travel time on public transportation, so a Hola Barcelona card is recommended.

PPengguna TetamuThe seevice is awesome.The rooms are very tidy (Spit & Span) while the internet service is fantabulous. I eat Afican meals ordered outside, so cant really say much about yheir meals but the only breakfast i had once, was not really my taste. Overall i can give Arcelon hotel 9/10

PPengguna TetamuAs a designer of hotel interiors who spends most of my life staying in hotels, I’ve experienced my fair share of accommodations, and this one certainly had room for improvement.
It’s hard to believe that, in this day and age, getting a simple cup of coffee for breakfast can be so difficult. I was told I could only enter the restaurant if I was having breakfast, but when I explained that I don’t eat breakfast and just wanted to sit, catch up on emails, and have a coffee, I was told no and offered a takeaway paper cup instead, like some sort of sub par citzen, not worthy of a seat at the table unless I was willing to eat there. I was told I could have gone to the empty hotel bar and sat in an armchair, hunched over my laptop, waiting until the bar opened at 9 am.
I complained to the front desk staff, who listened attentively to my experience, but mid-sentence, they walked off to assist a guest with a faulty key card. So, not only was I desperate for coffee, but I also felt completely invisible.
On top of that, the hairdryer stopped working almost immediately, and the gym was small and poorly lit.
That said, there were some positives. The wardrobe had plenty of hangers (which is a personal pet peeve of mine, so I’m grateful for that).
However, the window cutout was a real disappointment. Instead of a beautiful, wall-to-wall, floor-to-ceiling window that would have made the most of the view, we got a strange, aggressive-looking cut-out that blocked the view and didn’t align with the room’s style at all. Choose a room away from the lifts as they are noisy and busy.
Overall, there’s potential here, but improvements are definitely needed. Certainly not what I expected from a 4 star Marriot brand.

PPengguna TetamuWe had rather a long wait to check in and were not acknowledged by the staff on reception who were dealing with two other guests checking in. There were five staff behind the reception desk but it took a good five minutes maybe longer before anyone attended to us!! This did not feel like the best start but our check in was then done quickly and efficiently but not what I would call a warm welcome.
Our room was on the sixth floor and was nice and clean. The beds are really comfortable and apart from the half the tv channels everything worked fine. I was surprised there were no tea and coffee making facilities in the room considering this is a four star hotel.
The pool area was also a little disappointing.

Housekeeping maintains rigorous standards, ensuring a comfortable and hygienic environment that exceeds expectations.
**Walkable Access to the Highlight:**
One of the hotel's standout features is its accessibility to the city's main attraction. You can effortlessly reach the vibrant city center/historic district/main sights (specify the ”vertex” if possible, e.g., ”the iconic Old Town square” or ”the main shopping district”) on foot. It's a pleasant and manageable 20 to 30-minute stroll, allowing you to soak in the local ambiance without relying on transport. This walkability puts the heart of the destination right at your doorstep, perfect for spontaneous exploration.
**Overall:**

PPengguna TetamuI had a beautiful stay. I had been staying and loving the SLS Hotel in Miami and therefore wanted to try this new one in Barcelona. It looks very luxurious and the room I had was very spacious and just beautiful and well thought over all. The only thing that wasn’t super ideal for someone who loves walking a lot is the location. It was great, next to the beach and also really great amenities however getting to the city one would always have to take an Uber since it’s quite far away from it. At some point I started riding the bicycle and that was great as well but it just needs to be considered. Also you should not sleep with the doors to the balcony opened. They do warn about it at the hotel and for a reason. There are truly a lot of mosquitoes and just after one night leaving the door opened I was completely covered with mosquito bites. Also if possible ask for rooms farther away from the pool as that is where most of the mosquitoes will be. I got moved to a new room so the service is amazing.

Summary:
We had a short break in Barcelona this week and were looking for a clean, well-located room, and that’s exactly what we got. The Park Hotel was a pleasant surprise and definitely shouldn’t be judged by its facade—we were truly impressed.
Room:
Our room on the sixth floor was spacious for a city hotel and had all the amenities you’d expect. The bed was particularly comfortable, and the pillows were firm and supportive—none of those mushy, overly soft ones you often find in hotels. The bathroom was well-equipped, though it might be a bit tight for larger guests.
Cleanliness:
The room was cleaned regularly, and any requests we had were promptly addressed. The pool area was also well-maintained, and the shower room available on our departure day was spotless, making our stay even more comfortable.
Service:
The service was reasonable overall. The staff managed multiple tasks at once, and although they sometimes appeared a bit stressed, they were always prompt, polite, and made us feel welcome throughout our stay.
Location:
The location is perfect for exploring Barcelona. It’s within easy walking distance of Barceloneta, Port Vell, and the El Born district. Plus, the hotel is directly opposite the train station, which made our day trip to Sitges incredibly convenient.
Facilities:
The hotel’s rooftop pool is a nice feature, with about 14 chairs available for sunbathing. The area gets busy in the mid-afternoon, especially when the summer sun is at its peak. The pool itself is a perfect size for a quick cool-down after exploring the city.
Food and Drink:
We had breakfast included with our booking, which offered all the basics you’d expect from a hotel breakfast. It was a good way to start the day and provided enough variety to fuel up before heading out.
Value for Money:
The Park Hotel offered excellent value for money, given its location, comfort, and amenities.
Tips/Recommendations:
This hotel is ideal if you enjoy a trendy food and cocktail scene combined with the bustling beach atmosphere. It’s a great base for exploring the best of what Barcelona has to offer.
We would definitely return to the Park Hotel on our next visit to Barcelona.
