This accommodation was excellent. for us.It was situated in a tiny village with only one local pub, which was ideal for us. Cambridge is only 10miles away. The host was very friendly and welcoming. The Lodge was beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. A nice touch was a plate of fairy cakes and a jar of cookies to welcome you. There was also a jug of milk in the fridge. The bed was sublime. Extremely soft and comfortable. I normally only manage 3-4 hours sleep daily, but on our two night stay i slept right through both nights. Breakfast was a full English delivered to our door, and it was delicious. I can't recommend this place and it's host highly enough. If I'm visiting the area again Thorn House will definitely be my first choice.

Excellent hotel for a night away, facilties were excellent in room, bar area and leisure facilties. Parking was a breeze also. Only minor grip was room 249 the sofa appeared to be sofa bed frame and was broken so difficult ralxing in lounge area.

We stayed to start silver wedding anniversary celebration. We were going to a concert in Cambridge. The hotel nailed it. Beautiful, we were upgraded, and the room was stunning

Great location with loads of parking. Staff were very friendly and efficient. The breakfast was plentiful with lots of choice.

Nettes, modernes Hotel. Man muss allerdings aufpassen, zu welcher Seite man sein Zimmer hat, da eine Seite direkt am Bahnsteig liegt und Tag und Nacht dort Züge fahren.

Despite the slightly tired looking exterior, this is an excellent choice if you want a hotel in Cambridge, with parking, and walking distance to the city centre. Our room was on the ground floor but facing the rear and was very peaceful. The room is quite small but everything worked, it was exceptionally clean and comfortable, and the shower water pressure was fantastic. Breakfast, included in our package, was very very good. Plenty of choice and the cooked food was served on piping hot plates. Best of all, Jackie and Jan, the two wonderful ladies who served us. Actually they did more than serve, they made our breakfast memorable and warm. I hope these two ladies are well regarded by the hotel management, as we really want to return based upon their personal and very welcoming characters. Lovely, lovely ladies. In case you didn’t realise, we thoroughly recommend this hotel.

I stayed here for five weeks because I went to a language school in Cambridge before move to London. I've been this brand in London, and it was good experience. That's why I choose this hotel again. It was located a little far from my school, it means it is not close to city of centre. It takes about 15 minutes by bike. They offer bike lentil service, but I didn't use it because I had a my own bike. I worked out at the gym every day, the gym was small but it was enough to do exercise. The room was also good to stay one person, but iit was not very clean. Every staff at the reception is friendly and helpful. Another reason I chose this hotel is that they have a kitchen with oven. And there are a supermarket and a organic market nearby.

I have stayed here many times and really enjoyed my stay but this time not so great there was a huge gap under the door letting in loads of light from the corridor so had to roll a towel up the block the gap. There is normally spare pillows but not this time we had 2 very flat pillows so did not get a good sleep at all

I was more satisfied with my room on the first night of my stay. The new room felt somewhat damp, there was no elevator access, and the alarm noise woke me up. The hotel staff were kind, professional, and respectful, but I think the conditions and quality of the rooms vary. Thank you again for the cooperation and assistance of the hotel staff.

Single bed was small and not particularly comfortable, double bed was better, however there was mould on the bathroom ceiling and the toilet seat wasn’t attached properly. We were only given two towels although the room was booked for three. Otherwise, the room was clean enough and the service was very helpful. Free parking which wasn’t clear when booking.
