The first impression one gets is that one is arriving in a ”dark” and dangerous area but it seems this is an area that is gentrifying and is very safe. The apartment complex itself was surprsingly modern, clean, well look after and well equipped for the comfort of those coming in for short or long stays. It's important to specifically mention one element that makes this place work so well and stay so well kept, the lady who met us and took care of the administrative stuff, Joanna, is an absolute GEM! She may look like just a simple caretaker but she made all the difference for us. She was pleasant, welcoming, supportive and ready to assist at the drop of a hat. She is efefctively doing the work of a ”Hotel Manager”, because she does the hard work of cleaning, overseeing maintenance, laundry, etc and yet, she is effectively the facilities Public Relations Officer and handles the administrative aspects. So, I hope her employers recognise what a great employee they have and compensate her accordingly. One suggestion for the owners, they have really fantastic thick towels but a simple trick I use in my own house is to buy a simple electric dryer, not to dry the laundry but, once the towels have been dried in the sun, run them through the dryer at moderate to high heat for 15-20 minutes and they'll be mice, soft and fluffy, otherwise, after a few washes, they start getting a little scratchy and rough on the skin. It was a truly pleasantly suprising comfortable stay.

Прекрасный, атмосферный отель. Невероятно отзывчивый и любезный персонал. Очень вкусная еда. В ресторане на берегу ”Джази” отличные, свежие морепродукты. Уборка номеров хорошая, есть подготовка номера ко сну. Мы попросили поздний выезд, в 17-00, из-за задержки рейса. Нам бесплатно продлили пребывание и дали другой номер, с видом на океан, и помогли перенести вещи. Очень понравился бассейн, хорошая глубина, до 2,2м. Территория отеля очень ухоженная и зелёная, всё цветёт. Есть дикие обезьяны, их охранники гоняют из рогатки))

I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Excellent location and very friendly staff. The food was also so delicious. I checked in on my birthday and I happened to mention while checking it at the from desk. The hotel was kind enough to surprise me with cake at dinner. That absolutely made my day. Forever grateful for that . The only issue was that there was a lot of furniture in the room making it cramped up yet it was a spacious room . The hotel can also improve on cleanliness in unseen places such as under the beds and tables. Other than that, I highly recommend the hotel their rates are pretty reasonable and there’s value for money.

Nice hotel, full of amenities. location is great and on the coast but Mombassa traffic means you may be stuck in a lot if you plan to visit the main city itself

An exceptional stay Staff were all incredibly helpful, well presented and always attended to me Room was great and the food was also nice. So much to do in the very large hotel Will visit again for sure

The location is peaceful. An older facility, somewhat run-down, but clean and orderly. Would suggest a bit more attention to beautifying the grounds, plastering and painting at the gate. The staff was friendly and responsive. The room was comfortable. A/C working well. Shower brought warm water eventually. We had a room service each day with fresh towels and bottles of water. TV was fine but not an internet TV. wi-fi was a bit spotty and slow. Room opened up to a nice patio which overlooked the pool. The patio is shared with another room. In our case there was a fairly lively family next door. The pool is well maintained and pool area is pleasant. It is a shallow pool throughout.

The Cocoa Boutique is a hotel with a lot of potential. The rooms are clean and very spacious but the decor is old and in need of renovation. The location is excellent, right on the beach with great ocean views. The staff can not do enough for you especially the ladies on Reception! The pool itself is lovely and clean however the few sun loungers available are in need of replacement and there is very little shade. The food from the restaurant was very good and freshly cooked. We were late arriving and they stayed to ensure we had our evening meal. On another night we informed them we would not be back in time for dinner so they sent us the menu by What’s App and kept food for us on our return. We had a lovely stay at Cocoa Boutique but it would have been even better had the decor been brought up to standard.

I love this resort it’s in front the beach and it was my second time to go there

It is located perfectly for travel to the airport, so the convenience is certainly a reason to stay here. The staff were all pleasant, but the rooms could use air-conditioning as it is a hot country. They have a restaurant downstairs inside the hotel, but choices are limited and the breakfast was very ordinary. The restaurant they have next door was a total waste of time and money. We ordered the grilled chicken and waited over 1hr for it to arrive, and when it did it was dry overcooked chicken that was like chewing on a rubber boot. We couldn't finish the meal because it was just inedible and not at all a good meal by any standards. Their cold drinks are not very cold and they do not have ice. Oh, but for them it is more important to have an ignorant DJ playing music so loud we had trouble hearing ourselves talking. We asked nicely if they could have the music volume lowered a little but our request was just ignored by the DJ. It is a restaurant not a night club and the music was just too loud for a restaurant. So I would give this place a 0 star rating because it was terrible.
