PPengguna TetamuStandout was the unique rooms which are extremely private, spacious and beautifully designed along the lagoon. Personally I didn’t quite understand the ‘Butler’ concept and found some of the comms style a bit frustrating.
The other standout was the ‘Day of the dead’ celebrations. The property was decorated beautifully and very well organised. The opportunity to also participate was great as we felt emerged in the festivities. It would have been nice if the dinner package also included the face painting.
More broadly the property is set within mayakoba so you can explore the grounds including the other hotels and it was fun to explore on the bikes.
The only other thing to be aware off is also this is the more premium / exclusive hotel in mayakoba it’s still geared towards families or at least there where quite a few kids around. Finally don’t have high expectations of the beach it’s tiny and there isn’t much space.
If you want high end luxury visit Maroma.

PPengguna TetamuPros: very clean, staff are helpful and polite. The beach is beautiful white sand with turquoise water and palm trees for shade. There are a lot of chairs around the pools and on the beach. The room was comfy, good beds and pillows. Great shower and bathtub. The property is well kept. The are many activities, games and events organized.
CONS: The food is average, generic and limited for vegetarians. The restaurant menues are not a la carte. It’s a fixed menu. The cocktail are way too sweet , except for David, it was impossible to get a good drink. The wine is dry but no choice not even to purchased. If you like an American diet with everything sweet and you want to hand by the pool and bar, you will be happy. If you want to rest on the beach, without having vendors bug you every 5 minutes plus having to breathe cigarette smokes which is allowed all over the beach. If you like decent food and enjoy a good cocktail and wine. This place is not for you.

We enjoyed our stay at this clean, well-organized resort with spacious, quiet rooms (ours had no balcony, but it was fine). The minibar was a nice touch, and the bathroom was spotless.
Highlights:
✔ Food variety – Multiple à-la-carte restaurants (dinner reservations not needed) and buffets with good lunch/breakfast options.
✔beach – Plenty of sunbeds but no umberalla so bring your sunscreen, though pools get crowded les sunbeds.
✔ Access to sister hotels – Party lovers can visit Riu Tequila’s club nearby.
✔ Convenient location – Mini-market across the street, and Playa del Carmen (5th Ave) is just a 150-peso taxi ride away.
✔ Easy airport transfer – ADO bus (250 pesos/person, 45-min ride + 5-min taxi 150 pesos next to ado turism station).
Minor drawbacks:
✖ No elevators – Tough for guests with mobility issues.
✖ Entertainment hiccups – The host sometimes forgot to switch back to English after Spanish announcements.
Perfect for: Travelers who want good value, variety, and proximity to Playa’s nightlife.

AAlisha Corine VictoriaIt was AMAZING! I had such a great time there! The staff were super friendly and the food was delicious. I made sure to eat and drink as much as possible, I think I ate too much! There is only a buffet breakfast and lunch and dinner at the restaurants. It's à la carte (if you paid for the package) and you can order as much food as you want. Mexican food for lunch and Italian or Mexican food for dinner (you have to book for dinner). I also love that the rooftop bar has unlimited great food for the whole day. The pool area was nice and so was the furniture. My room was huge and very spacious, I did not have the best view which didn't matter because I was upstairs on the rooftop for most of the time. They also stock the room fridge with soft drinks and beer which are unlimited. Each floor has a water cooler machine and an ice machine which was great when it came to refilling my water bottles. I think it's a great idea instead of the single use water bottles. I highly recommend staying here, my only regret was not staying here longer. I will be back in the future!

PPengguna TetamuWe stayed at the Viva Azteca Hotel for 7 days to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When we entered our room, the small gestures made for our anniversary made us very happy. All the staff members are smiling and doing their best to ensure you have a relaxing holiday. The resort has a perfect beach. However, the sea was very wavy and covered with sea plants. The food and evening shows were very good. There are plenty of places to visit around the hotel. It is also within walking distance to the 5th Avenue in the center. As a result, we had a wonderful holiday. Thank you Viva Azteca, you brought color to our lives.

WWondooPersonally, the music sound from the bar did not inturrupt us because we are used to those noise. But if you need a quiet place to sleep, then the hotel would be the bad choice. They did not have a hair dryer so we should’ve dry hair with A/C🤣 There were some bugs like ants and mosquitos which freaked my partner. But “I” was satisfied about the hotel’s cleanness and in/exterior because it looked quite good. If you like bar, there is a good bar in front of the hotel and also a taco place.
Overall, the experience in the hotel was quite good for me and the location was also so good because it’s so close(one block) from the 5th ave.

Every every time I try to amend my booking or add something to my booking it would not let me via the website they always declined anything that I asked for example I wanted to extend my trip by one day they said booking was not available however I was able to book online. They would not upgrade my room. Kept saying everything was unavailable and it was not. Website says there is an iron and a hair dryer in the room but you have to ask for it.

NNikkilaoshiLocation is great. Checkin was easy. Rooms are spacious with a little kitchenette (stove cooktop & microwave) but there’s no dishes or utensils to cook. Decent coffee/tea setup. Nice robes. Medium sized fridge with freezer section. City view rooms do not have balconies and face street with view of ice cream shop and laundromat. Pool is warm & pool towels available. 1 block from the busy street and 2 blocks from beach. There’s a bar with a pool table, foosball, and darts where happy hour was offered for an hour daily. BREAKFAST WAS NOT WORTH WAKING EARLY FOR. Very limited options and was cold. Also after checking our reservation at the breakfast restaurant they were insisting we pay for it when we paid for it with the reservation. Also felt the breakfast staff were a bit rude when I tried asking for details on the station others were lining up for reminding me of things that were included or not.

이 호틀을 선택하지 않을 이유가 없네요.
단. 조용히 책읽는것 좋아하고. 불면증 있는분에게는 이 호텔이 맞지않아요.
호텔은 아름답고. 안쪽 객실은 비교적 조용해요.

SStefanSehr schönes Hotel mit vielen Pools und Grotten, aber leider etwas unübersichtlich und kein direkter Strand Zugang. Sehr gut geeignet für Familien erst recht wegen dem Zugang zu den umliegenden Parks.
