MMarkus StammGood location and also close to airport. We stayed in the executive suite which is very spacious and it was very clean. However for the money it was quite basic, no amenities such as coffee. There is a kitchenette but no cutlery no cups… also in the morning they only opened the pool after 9am which is very disappointing as we wanted to have an early swim.
Nice water amenities with good slides but I can’t recommend the exec suite for the money and value provided. Also no breakfast included.
Service was good and check in experience was flawless.

GGuest UserI had a great stay at this hotel and would definitely recommend it. The location is fantastic—prime and easily accessible, making it very convenient for exploring the area.
I had room service initiated even though I didn’t request it, which was a pleasant surprise. The staff were incredibly helpful and attentive, always ready to assist with anything we needed.
The room itself was okay—comfortable enough with a working AC that kept us cool. The washroom was fine, though nothing exceptional. The hotel’s aesthetic is beautiful, with a great vibe that really adds to the experience.
The Filipino breakfast options were delicious, and I really enjoyed starting the day with a hearty meal.
Overall, this hotel offers great value with its helpful staff, excellent location, and good amenities. I’d definitely stay again!

MMayangThe room was small, compared to the original booking that I had reserved. They cannot find my booking reservations so they had to put me in 1 of the rooms available. I booked for a Deluxe Suite, and they said they can’t locate my booking. So they had to transfer me to a smaller room, which is quite a downgrade to what I had paid. No compensations provided.
Anyway, the room was still fine, but cleanliness is not at its best. They didnt really do much effort to clear signs of previous visitor. See photo below.

GGuest UserThe place is good and nice, halatang bagong hotel siya. i’m kinda not satisfied sa cr. Madulas yung tiles, delikado po. Walang divider sa bandang shower area to toilet bowl&sink kaya the whole cr will get wet pag naligo ka. Yung knob ng faucet natatanggal siya which is not our fault, yung lagayan ng stuff sa ibabaw ng sink yung glass is eventually bumababa, nakaktakot na baka matapat samin that time na malaglag which is not our fault also. Yung cover ng switch light baliktad, minadali gawin? Yung cabinet inside the room is sira din, which is not our fault.

• Mabait ang staff sa front desk especially kuya guard.
• Shampoo, bodywash etc magkahalo sa isang lalagyan.
• You can also order food from them merong menu sa loob ng room.
• water dispenser is located outside the room sa may parang lobby sa 2nd floor, hot and cold water is available.

Overall i would rate it 4/5, our stay there was ok. Im just quite dissappointed sa cr. Btw, we were in Room 10 that time.

GGuest UserThe so called ”discounted” rate from Trip was in fact higher than the walk in rate. Breakfast was not included. The walk in rate included breakfast. There are very few hotel options in Tacloban. Asia Stars is ok. Not great, not bad, It's ok for 1-2 nights not more as the rooms are very small.

GGuest UserEasy check-in and out. Very good (central) location. The room was tidy, very clean, good beds, big cabinets, very good wifi; shower & bathroom very fine. Unlimited cold 6 hot water. Additional free breakfast (very fine). The value for money is perfect. Once I come back to Ormoc, I would book this hotel again. No regrets, no complaints, very friendly and helpful staff.

GGuest UserNice hotel, inexpensive, good staff and convenient location. Best hotel in this small town. Everything was clean and well maintained. Nice restaurant in the ground level of the hotel. Free breakfast with room, snd good food and service. Nice room,(bed, desk, tv) with the only thing missing was a small refrigerator. Good bathroom with all the amenities and nice hot water. Located in the center of town by the Metro store and with plenty of places to eat in short walking distance. Would gladly stay there again.

CCal travel tripsNot sure if other hotels have or do not have hot water for shower. GV Hotel does not, please note. Also the shower is spacious but no seperate cubicle. The whole floor gets wet as you shower, may be a common feature in the tropical cities. Nevertheless, the proximity to SM Mall is the best feature, you can get everything in the Hypermarket and most of the popular food outlets under one roof, just a 2 minute walk opposite the same street. If you want to try the BBQ style, please visit first floor with very reasonable price. see photo here showing the menu.

GGreCuBenThe area is nice because it is accessible to everything. The room is not new but even so I slept comfortably and I was able to sleep well. The place is not noisy so it is nice. What I also liked is that it is right infront to a carinderia and bbq grill so I don't have to look far for lunch and dinner. If I travel again, I want to book with them again.👍
