KKareenCEverything quite convenient, loved having a bedroom, 3 beds, 2bathrooms+toilet for our family of 5. Alarm clock is cute - different characters to wake you up gently instead of a blaring alarm sound lol!
Staff members were all wonderful, smiling and friendly.. Free car parking is helpful if you have a car but don’t need to use during your stay as transport is very convenient to get to/from the Disney areas - Bus to Magic Kingdom/Animal Kingdom/Hollywood Studios/Disney Springs/Summer Winterland (same bus as Blizzard Beach), Skyline to Epcot. Although I must say, it felt like there were more buses returning to other resorts (like Pop Century and All Stars vs Art of Animation; maybe 3-4buses for every 1). Comes quite frequent though, traffic played a part on delays.. Pop Century is located next to Art of Animation so we considered taking that bus and walking back to pass through the Skyline station as the resorts share it, but we’d always surpassed our walking steps during a park visit so just waited..
Laundry mat is handy, gets very busy during the afternoon/evening as expected. No quarters needed, can pay via QR code. They have a vending machine with detergent and dryer sheets. Staff had visited whilst I was doing laundry several times to clean and sanitize machines.
Early entry to parks a great perk, saved and opted not to buy any lightening passes. We would take advantage of early entry, do a few rides and then head back to the resort to relax for a couple of hours and then head back to do more rides/parade/fireworks etc at about 2:45pm.
We kindly received complimentary access to play mini golf as the check in staff member recognized we’ve travelled quite a long way 🥹 - thank you, it was so much fun! Complimentary access to Blizzard Beach also included, unfortunately it was too cold to take advantage of it as our stay was during what seemed like an Arctic blast! 🥶
This has been our 3rd stay here, it always gives beautiful memories to take home with us 🥰

MMaria PortoExcellent location and very convenient for anyone visiting Universal Studios. Pools are a must and the hotel is very friendly overall. Highlights: airport shuttle (paid, Universal ShuttleStar), bus transportation to Citywalk all day every couple minutes (included), park early entrance (included), pools open till 10pm, market and Starbucks in the lobby. And, the biggest plus for me was the fact that they don’t have a strict check in rule: as long as they have a room available, you may check in (if you’re traveling in crazy hours with kids, this makes all the difference!).
Staff is great, very friendly and helpful despite the hotel being very busy at all times.
Rooms are clean - you don’t get service everyday but you can ask for anything and they leave you at your door. Again, despite the hotel being very crowded, kids running everywhere, everything was clean at all times.
Will definitely stay again.

PPengguna TetamuHotel was located between both universal and Disney . Free shuttle bus however the shuttle bus is very busy. Hotel breakfast very basic and disappointing. Not many options. Bedrooms are modern decorated however some issues . Bed bugs and ants had to ask to change sheets . They didn’t change and when I asked for room to be cleaned I kept being ignored until eventually had to get senior staff involved . Ant’s definitely a problem in the hotel . Liked that they offered free full size bathroom products this was useful . AC is at one temp and can not be controlled so can get very cold in the room and bedding is thin.

WWaiDriving up to the hotel it looked promising, lift up to our floor felt bit old but worked well with the style, rooms were ok but looked like it could do with some freshening up.
First thing we noticed was a stain on one of the pillowcases, this made us wonder whether the beds were properly changed or cleaned, we did see a single strand of hair in the bathtub but gave it the benefit of the doubt that could be the cleaner if they did clean it. Sadly on the website it states luxury toiletries- well these were disappointing and did not feel it. We were provided with one set for two people. That is one shampoo, one conditioner, one body lotion, no shower gel, (you get a shower in the room) one face soap, one hand soap.
The hot water kettle dispenser was not cleaned as when we went to do an initial clean there was a lot of black stuff coming out, we had no coffee in the room either. We had to go ask reception to give us a new one and that’s when we found out we should have had coffee provided with the kettles. So far very disappointing,
We found out during our stay that the hotel doesn’t clean your room on a daily basis and we weren’t aware of this so our bins were over filling, we had to ask for toilet roll, and new towels. When we received the towels in the bedroom whilst we were out they were left on top of the toilet. Not exactly the best or cleanest place to put if especially if we haven’t had the room cleaned for a good few days.
If you want your room cleaned I expect you will need to let reception know. I’ve stayed at Marriotts before and I’ve never experienced it where they don’t clean your room and I don’t mind if they don’t do it on a daily basis but they should inform you at reception when you check in.
We stayed during Hurricane Milton and we were very disappointed as international tourists not to have received any information from the hotel that it was coming and what to do/ how to stay safe/ whether there was going to be reduced restaurant opening times/ services.
This was our first hurricane. We instead received much more information and advice from our Uber drivers such as to stock up on food and water.
Our other information was from alerts we received on our phones and also by watching the news otherwise we would have been none the wiser. We are aware that other hotels received a note under their door as a minimum.
We were looking to hire a car but this hotel charges 27 dollars to park a day. So we decided to use Uber and actually turned out cheaper for us so bear this in mind.
The pros:
It’s very central and icon park is about 5 mins away, lots of bars and restaurants along the the drive in either direction. Close to the parks if that’s what you’re here for.
Reception staff are very nice and really get straight on to the case when you need something.
Two people who stood out for us was firstly Joe, who was standing outside one day as myself and my friend were deciding to visit a mall was so helpful. He even gave us some leaflets to hand it at our destination to get discounts and a free bag. He was really friendly and chatty and a great sense of humour.
The second person was Ryan, from housekeeping was also very helpful when my friend was after some items for our room. Very cheerful.
I’d only recommend this hotel if you just want somewhere to sleep for a few days. I wouldn’t come back here again not for a holiday as I feel the basic expectations of a hotel service was lacking. Can’t fault any of the staff we dealt with.

PPengguna TetamuGot there and found out that my one reservation for 2 rooms was actually 2 reservations, so they charged me 2 security deposits. Then my credit card was $5 short, and they wouldn't take $5 cash. I ended up making an express payment on my card, just to be able to pay the second deposit. The african american lady at the front desk with the ponytail and glasses (never got her name) did not want the cash and wouldn't let me talk to the manager. Room had oil stains on the walls and phone in my room didnt work. Breakfast was ok. Sausage was the only meat. No bacon or anything else. And parking was $110 for 4 nights. Then I wanted to check out a day early and was told by the night shift that as long as I left by 11 am the next morning, I would not be charged. When I tried to check out at 8:30am, once again the same african american woman was working and acted like she had to get permission from the manager. She walked off to call him so I couldn't hear what she said and then came back to say I could only leave early one night on my reservation. I asked to speak to the manager and she said when she called him, he was in the shower and wouldn't be in until 9am. I said I would wait. Then I reminded her about how she said we had 2 separate reservations so we should be able to leave early for both rooms. She finally did it. Also, whenever you called them, before, during, and after my trip, it took about 6 hours of calling back to back before anyone picks up the phone. Even when I was there and my room phone didnt work, I kept calling and had to walk downstairs the first night to tell them about the oil stains on my wall and the phone not working, because I didnt want to be charged for it. She said she knew and that the wallpaper was going to be replaced. I have stayed there 3 times and after this time, I will not be going back. That lady was the only one with a nasty attitude.

PPengguna TetamuEncontrar el hotel fué super fácil, excelente locación para turistas. Al hacer check in tuve unos contratiempos que me complicaron la llegada despues de lo cansada que estaba. Según me enteré, es política del hotel que los residentes tenemos que pagar un depósito de $200 reembolsable al hacer el check out. El problema no era el no saber que había ese depósito sino que debía de ser efectivo solamente. Eso me molestó muchímo por que solo quería llegar y bañarme y en cambio tuve que salir en busca de un cajero automático. La habitación estaba limpia y olía agradable, a pesar que las sabanas tenían marcas de quemaduras de cigarillo por donde quiera 😂 La cortina del baño hecha pedazos y muy pequeñas y toda el agua caía afuera 🤦♀️ a parte de eso todo lo demás estaba bien.

I was taking my nephew on a trip to Orlando, a little getaway to spoil him, on a small budget. I needed cheap, and I did my research. I’ll be honest, I read some of the reviews for Garnet Inn, and they weren’t all great. I can’t tell you about those peoples stay. But I can tell you about mine
My stay here was fantastic. We had a great time, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I will stay here again, 100%
A few things to note- it’s a cheap hotel.
Is it fancy? No. Is it older? Yes.
Was it clean? Absolutely
The lobby is not impressive. It could be updated, the furniture looks a bit outdated, but was it clean? Yea it was! Was the price affordable? Yes it was!
The room has everything I needed. 2 beds. Lots of pillows. A huge tv mounted on the wall. A fridge. A microwave. A bar of soap. A package of shampoo. Fresh clean towels and sheets. The room was clean. Floors were clean. Bathroom was clean. The mirror was spotless. I have zero complaints on cleanliness.
I chose a pool view room. Which we loved. Let me tell you about the pool. It was very clean, and there is a kiddie pool and an adult pool. Both were great. The kiddie pool is 1 foot deep. Great for kids who can’t swim, or who just what to splash around. The adult pool is big, clean, has stairs, a railing and even a lift.
The staff- everyone was super friendly to me. Check in was easy. Check out was easy. Life was simple here
The breakfast- your getting the basics. Cereal, waffles, toast. Coffee and juice and milk. There was lots. It did not run out. It’s included in your stay, at that cheap of a price guess what? It’s sufficient
Room cleaning- housekeeping came everyday. Made the bed. Cleaned the garbage and changed my towels. I didn’t have to ask. They just did it.
The location- close to everything. 10 min drive to anywhere you want to go. There is a really good restaurant in the same parking lot, as well as a 7/11. There is a McDonald’s a 3 min walk down the street.
To sum it up, could it be fancier? Sure. But if it was you wouldn’t be getting this cheap of a price. All my needs were met, it was comfortable, clean, and the staff are friendly. I will be staying here again, no doubt !
