The Tide's Inn

I really enjoyed my time at The Tide’s Inn Parksville. Quiet, very comfortable mattress and pillows. The staff were beyond reproach! Excellent service. Perfect for my pet. We enjoyed the fire pits and close proximity to the beach and services. Well done!

We found this place not long after we got off the ferry at Departure Bay, Nanaimo , on the island, in Parksville . We didn't have a reservation, so my husband just went in and asked if they had a room. They did have one reasonably priced, so we took it for the night. Thanks for the popcorn ! We were also able to have our 2 little dogs there, which was great ! When we got in the room, I tried to turn the ac on, but it smelled dusty, so I shut it off. There wasn't any cover or filter on it, and it was dusty inside of it, so I left it off. We were only staying one night, so it was no big deal and wasn't too hot. Later thay evening we decided to see if we could get the room for another night and we were able to get the same room. It was, however, warmer the next night, so it would have been nice to put it on. The parking is free and well lit. There was a path close by to go down to the beach and a nice outdoor sitting area at the Inn. There is also an amusement place right next door with mimi golf, bumper boats, gelato, as well as other food. The room was clean with a table and chairs, a fridge, and a sm freezer and close to the departure bay ferry terminal. I would stay again if I got a room with working ac.

We have stayed at this property many times over the years. Recent, new management has made significant improvements, both inside and out. Rooms have been redecorated as has exterior. Great picnic area complete with fire pits (gas) and bbq's. well located and nicely priced. Great job folks👍

Stayed here with my girlfriends on the way to Tofino. We enjoyed using their barbeque to make dinner. Even though it was raining, it was nice to sit under the gazebo around the fire table and eat. The beds were comfortable. The rooms were clean and the staff were super friendly. We had some issues with charging our car and they brought us an extension cord and hooked us up with a place across the street where we could charge. Would definitely stay here and also highly recommend! Oh and we also we enjoyed some free mini golf and that was fun! The only complaint is that the room could use a plug in by the bed to charge your phone and such.

The staff are very friendly and offered us coffee and popcorn on arrival and even when we were leaving. The location is very close to the water. just down a little pathway. The room was clean and spacious with a nice seating area. We had a blast at the mini golf which was free. Next time perhaps it will be warm enough to play on the bumper boats.

We stayed at the Tides Inn on two separate nights. On both occasions checking in was fast and efficient and the rooms very clean and well- equipped. The Tides Inn is a great location, being a very short walk from the lovely beach and many places to eat. We accidentally left behind some property and the team at the motel were very kind and helpful in ensuring we retrieved it. We would happily stay at the Tides Inn again.

This is a reasonably-priced, excellent motel with very clean, nicely decorated pet-friendly rooms. The friendly and efficient co-op student working at the desk has very good people skills and is helpful and polite. I highly recommend staying here. It was quiet even on a Saturday night, located within walking distance of good restaurants, has a bbq area and several seating/lounge areas and is next door to an elaborate mini golf and play-land business.

Very nice staff, friendly and professional. Manager Juper is great! Clean rooms, complimentary coffee, daily. Ample parking. Close to all amenities and a very short walk to the beach. Afforable too. I stayed there two full months. Great spot to see lots of eagles and other wild life.
