Lovely castle hotel. Even in winter! This beautiful castle has amazing views, beautiful outdoor spaces, incredible food, unique rooms, and a warm and welcoming staff. Take some time to wander the hallways, public rooms, and nooks and crannies so you can admire all the thought that was put into the restoration of this castle. We had chilly weather while we were there, but we were never cold inside the hotel. Our room was warm, plus the staff was happy to build roaring fires in the bar and sitting room for us. The outdoor areas are gorgeous, and it would be a treat to visit in the warmer months too.

Toccata e fuga in occasione di Umbria Jazz:albergo datato ma tenuto bene, camera singola molto piccola ma pulita e confortevole, colazione abbondante. Ubicato nel comune di Ponte San Giovanni a 8 minuti in auto dal centro di Perugia. Non ho avuto modo di provare la piscina. Tutto sommato mi ritengo soddisfatta.
Ps:per la settimana di Umbria Jazz sarebbe utile mettere a disposizione un servizio navetta anche a pagamento(hanno una navetta nel parcheggio). Lo fanno già altri alberghi e basterebbero 4/5 corse al giorno per dare un servizio top.

但是，作為佩魯賈國際音樂節的客人、青年施坦威藝術家和家人，對這家酒店的員工對華人（東方人）的“隱性怠慢”表示非常非常不滿！作為攜程鑽石客户，我個人強烈建議攜程採取不推薦不鼓勵國人去受辱的舉措，維護中國人的尊嚴！
首先，早餐廳中老年女領班對東方面孔（包括參加音樂節的韓日旅客），每早必問房號，而且從不領位！而對同時或隨後進廳的西人白人不僅不問房號，還親自引位，令人對比反差太大！我從1998年至今公、私出國上百次，飛成白金卡，到歐洲幾十次，還是頭一次在不發達的G7山城，見識到一種難以名狀被怠慢、甚至是隱性歧視！無獨有偶，離開佩魯賈前我們想約來自歐美的鋼琴教授好友聚餐，特別到一層露天吧枱定位，問女店員靠窗桌子有無定位，得知無人訂就提出晚上預約，一男店湊上前問了房號，説不能預約靠窗桌？我説：女店員説了那張桌沒人約，況且我們也是酒店客人，可那個男店員非常“固執”，説不能預訂！我説先交預付款，那個男店員揮手錶示拒絕！這種服務態度實話實説，已經不是相互尊重的問題了！這家老酒店老舊了，但對顧客如此惡劣，我覺得是對中國遊客的無理怠慢！因為我們的臉是東方人、華人，因為我們不是看上去“高貴”的白人旅客？！（明年我們若來佩魯賈，絕不會看這些對國人無理的酒店，順便説一句，我們後來一行人去了當地米其林餐廳，非常嗨皮……）

The two stars given are for location, food in the restaurant and housekeeping. We found the staff here not just brusque but actually quite rude. On our first day the bar was open and there was someone serving, we ordered drinks, we’re given some snacks and we sat on the terrace. There was a school trip here as part of the jazz festival, it would have been good if our travel agent had been told of this, we may have chosen elsewhere. The location is good to walk into town with the escalators. There was no one working at the bar for the remaining two nights of our stay and each time we had to ask reception to serve us, each time this seemed like a chore for them and wasn’t met with a smile. They hadn’t bothered to get any ice so the drinks weren’t very cold. One morning one of the reception staff was counting our cash, I went back 20 minutes later to ask for change (the ATM had given us two €50 notes) and we didn’t want to use those for taxis. I was told they had no cash (there is also a sign saying they have a cash desk open. There is a pool but swim cap is mandatory and you have to get a key from reception and they limit numbers if it gets too busy. No irons in the room, apparently they have an ironing room where you can go to. The food in the restaurant was lovely. Once again let down by poor service. We will definitely return to Perugia, we won’t return here.

Il B&B sta in posizione molto comoda, sia per visitare il centro storico di Perugia (anche con il panoramico mini metro), sia per visitare le altre belle città umbre, essendo vicino alla superstrada. L'appartamento è comodo, con arredi di qualità, e con tutte le dotazioni necessarie. I gestori sono molto gentili. Il parcheggio auto è all'interno della struttura. Il B&B è il classico punto fermo di chi si muove! TOP!

We spent 12 days in Umbria and used Perugia as our home base. This lovely hotel is about 10 minutes from the center of Perugia. You must have a rental car to stay here as the bus rarely comes by and it is not within walking distance of Perugia center. We had a car so no issues for us, There is excellent on site free parking. The hotel is wonderful. Big thanks to the fabulous Jessica and Aymen at the front desk! They helped us every day and made dinner reservations for us several times. They were always warm, friendly and very helpful. The room was clean and lovely. The shower is small, but typical for Europe. The buffet breakfast included in the room rate is phenomenal. There is nothing they have not thought of to serve!! The staff at breakfast are also absolutely lovely. We had a wonderful time at this hotel!! Highly recommend.

We planned our wedding at the Relais il Canalicchio with close family and friends. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience, very clean rooms, good breakfast, good options at the restaurant, lovely 360 views. Francesca thoughtfully helped us plan our wedding taking care of all the requests we had and helping with menu, flowers, music. She was very nice to have a couple of videocalls with us prior to the wedding in order to meet and discuss all the details. She even helped us with flowers, music etc. The rooms were lovely, the terraces had a great view, the tower room was also nice, only we had a bit of bad luck as the night prior to the wedding there was a big thunderstorm that caused a minor flood in the tower room which led to an electrical power failure and caused a delay in the wedding schedule. The staff was very friendly, especially one of the waiters named Hamza who was really cool and tried to accommodate all our requests, despite his superior, a woman named Sandra, who did not want to serve us after midnight and was rude to us repeatedly, even though we did not make any disturbance. Would recommend booking a couple of days here for your special event or for a retreat get-away.

PPengguna TetamuB&b non facile da raggiungere perché nellultimo tratto semi sterrato ma grazie alle indicazioni dei gentilissimi proprietari raggiunto senza problemi. Camera piccolina per tre ma confortevole molto pulita con pulizia quotidiana , bel bagno ampio e comodo, bel balcone con lettino, peccato non averlo sfruttato di più, eravamo sempre in giro. Colazione semplice ma completa servita nella veranda e bel giardino della famiglia. Nessuna difficoltà di parcheggio. Proprietari gentili e disponibili che ci hanno inviato un sacco di suggerimenti sulle visite da fare e sui ristoranti. Veramente consigliabile

BBi1050A very attractive hotel, verdant gardens and the warmest of welcomes from fabulous reception staff. We stayed in a junior suite which was stunning: spotlessly clean, quiet, top floor, massive bed and excellent bedding, air conditioning, tea/coffee making facilities and complimentary soft drinks. Swimming pool was large, clean and cold! No cushions on the chaise longues and rarely saw staff outside. First day was delightfully quiet in the garden with plentiful bird singing however the next day the birds were drowned out by the sound of building works next door, with constantly beeping reversing vehicles which on our second day started at 0700. The next day it started at 0730 which was an improvement and meant we could have a lie in without being woken up. Apparently the work is for the hotel’s event side of things (as well as roadworks) and there were various events being held at the hotel but nothing intrusive because the grounds are so big and most people attending the events didn’t venture into the main hotel and swimming pool area. The restaurant was fine - a little too much veal for my liking and the mixed vegetables with the main courses consisted of potatoes so not enough green veg for us. The restaurant staff were pleasant and efficient, especially the Russian waitress. The restaurant manager was a little abrupt but worked hard. The spa treatment was excellent and again, delightful staff. Surrounding area was a typical working small town with a small supermarket, couple of pleasant bars, church, school etc. Train service is excellent and cheap but you’ll need a taxi to get to the nearest train station and taxis are quite expensive. Best bet is probably to hire a car.

PPengguna TetamuMy mum and I stayed at Chocohotel for 2 nights and found some great positives and a few negatives with our stay. The whole chocolate theme is really cute and well exploited across different areas of the building, from door signs to bedside lamps, to our room keys and even the walls. Our twin room was spacious, with comfortable beds and the signature chocolate themed decor. Breakfast was tasty with loads of indulgent chocolate options, though it didn’t get refilled after 9.15 when we came on our first day and by 9.40 most of the food had already been taken in (it supposedly ended at 10?!). At dinner time, we tried the chocolate tasting set menu, which was indeed very good but, maybe due to a large business group having dinner at our same time, we didn’t feel particularly looked after by the waiting staff as service lagged. My main complaint was the poor room service and overall cleanliness of the room. I won’t go too much into detail on the multiple issues we’ve had as reception was informed and were very apologetic and understanding. They tried their best to make up for the poor standards and we appreciate that. The location isn’t great for travellers without a car as it’s a bit of a trek from the train station (mileage itself is little but the road is busy and at times with no pavement) and equally it’s a steep walk to the town centre or alternatively another walk back to the train station for the nearest metro stop. 2 nights at chocohotel were plenty. I would argue that one night is more than enough to enjoy the fun part of the experience - i would actually recommended coming for the day, maybe for a dinner or for the hotel store almost as an attraction in its own right but would probably stay in a different, “normal” hotel in a more convenient location.

Allo staff della direzione assegno un bel 10 per cordialità e modo di fare molto accogliente, alla camera do un 10 per la pulizia delle camere fatta con attenzione dalle signore di servizio, sala colazione accogliente e pulita con un angolo di servizio che comprende anche i dolci, la gran parte fatti dalla titolare gentilissima e pronta al dialogo, frutta fresca e beverage di ogni sorta sia calda che fredda. Piscina accogliente, pulita l'area atttigua e un bar fornito di tutto. Insomma vi ritorneremo alla prima occasione possibile. Complimenti per la gestione!
