Hotel Astor

A number of years since we had stayed here and there have been many changes and not for the better. Yes the room are very clean and the towels sweet smelling but the bathrooms and rooms are very dated. The entrance to the hotel has many people just hanging around and you don’t feel safe. Obviously new ownership and new staff and none of them have the necessary friendliness and welcoming attitude. One or two of them try but you never feel comfortable. You are expected to leave the key at the desk if you go out and this just increases the unpleasant interaction. The building is very noisy and you can clearly hear those in neighbouring rooms. The noise level is probably increased by the fact that parts of the building have permanent tenants/guests. Didn’t have the €5 breakfast as it looked very sad. Wifi is poor and keeps dropping off. We arrived early and were allowed to leave luggage which is helpful but it wasn’t put in a secure area. To set the tone a guest walked out as we were at the front desk at 9am. He had no luggage and collected his receipt and left. He was followed minutes later by his ‘friend’ and she too had no luggage. Say no more. Location is good by the station but we wouldn’t stay there again.

Booked a one night stay here, does not look great from outside but don’t let that put you off, room on 1st floor, overlooking road and station had a balcony with 2 chairs. Very clean beds comfy, and a good shower. If you want breakfast go down and pay on morning 5 Euros, but little shop next door and a coop over road. Poor bloke he was on reception when we arrived at 19-00 hrs and was there next morning to serve breakfast. If you are a light sleeper take some ear plugs as noise from roar is quite bad. But a fantastic find for a stop over.

Basic, functional, and really great room, on the small size but with a high ceiling and a sense of space and airiness. The room was very quiet and private, with great working electricity, plumbing, and AC, although the wifi was not that great. Lots of space, great lighting, very comfortable, although priced well above what it is worth, presumably due to the season.

Pulito, personale cortese, ma vecchio e poco curato, stanza nn isolata e si sente ogni rumore dalla strada e dal corridoio. Accettabile ma nn a questi prezzi! Troppo caro x la qualità della struttura, mi son fermato x necessità ma nn lo rifarei

Altro che 2 stelle,neanche la punta di una stella meriterebbe Unica nota positiva....l accoglienza Camere rifatta dopo 3 giorni,stessa cosa per il cambio asciugamani Camera grande,ma sporca....stendiamo un velo pietoso riguardo al balcone...sudicio Colazione con prodotti da discount,cornetto con crema molto probabilmente acida Nn ci torneremo di sicuro

Camere poco curate, sporche, vecchie e con arredi obsoleti. Nel bagno la doccia mancante di mezza porta sostituita da una tenda molto sporca. Pagato 70 euro di cui 15 supplemento singola e 15 supplemento cane! Il prezzo equivalente a una stanza 3 stelle in un hotel pet frendly! Sconsigliatissimo.

ATTENZIONE Ho prenotato una notte in questo hotel, arrivati la struttura non era assolutamente come descritta e le foto non rispecchiavano la realtà, abbiamo dunque deciso di lasciare l’hotel e di non usufruire di della notte PAGATA. Hotel fatiscente è dir poco. Camera inesistente sul sito, rotta e sporca (allego foto), le informazioni riportate non rispecchiano la realtà: le distanze dal centro si riferiscono al percorso a piedi (che dal navigatore risultano comunque errate di qualche centinaia di metri); viene riportato “spazi all’aperto- terrazza” chiedo dunque al proprietario che mi risponde che non c’è alcuna terrazza; di fronte all’hotel c’è un edificio crollato di cui allego foto; L’hotel si trova intorno a delle abitazioni, dunque nella stanza arrivava odore di cucina molto pesante. Inoltre si potevano sentire urla e grida delle persone delle abitazioni direttamente dalla nostra stanza. Zona decisamente poco raccomandabile con persone poco raccomandabili che giravano intorno all’hotel. Abbiamo provato a chiedere al proprietario un rimborso o una ricollocazione in altro hotel, ma ci risponde che loro non erogano rimborsi. Nei giorni seguenti provo a contattare la struttura per potergli chiedere un rimborso totale per la notte di cui NON abbiamo usufruito. Mi viene detto che mi avrebbero richiamato il giorno stesso,così non è stato. Li ho richiamati io dopo vari messaggi in cui chiedevo di essere ricontattata come accordato telefonicamente e la risposta è stata “mi dispiace ma non possiamo farci nulla già gliel’avevamo detto”. NON abbiamo usufruito della notte, viste le condizioni in cui versava l’hotel, ma comunque NON ci è stato concesso il rimborso, ma comunque si sono tenuti anche i soldi della tassa di soggiorno. Non lo consiglio assolutamente

Hotel con camera spaziosa e pulita. Situato davanti alla stazione dei treni e degli autobus. Distante dal centro. Personale gentile. Si consiglia

La struttura ha un’ottima posizione per girare la città, personale molto disponibile, pulizia buona, ci tornerei molto volentieri
