Hotel berhampiran Ponte Risorgimento, Pescara

Di passaggio a Pescara per una notte, abbiamo trovato al volo una camera tripla ma non ci siamo trovati bene. La stanza era datata, sia negli arredi che per quanto riguarda i sanitari, e non risultava decisamente ben tenuta. La doccia era molto scomoda, con un doccino che non si riusciva a far star dritto, senza il piatto e con delle pareti di plastica mobili impossibili da tenere chiuse in modo corretto, finendo per bagnare tutto il pavimento. La cosa peggiore è stata però il fastidiosissimo rumore dell'impianto di climatizzazione, evidentemente molto vecchio e bisognoso di manutenzione. Impossibile riuscire a dormire, o per il caldo, o per il rumore continuo e forte, proveniente dalle bocchette posizionate sul soffitto. La colazione sufficientemente varia ma nulla di più. Bene invece per quanto riguarda la posizione della struttura, vicina alla stazione, comoda per visitare il centro e il lungomare. Nel complesso, non ritorneremmo in questo hotel.

I booked a double room with a sea view two months ago and was looking forward to our holiday. A deposit had been taken from my bank account, but I did not receive a confirmation of my booking. I had to ask for it via email. Pictures on their website looked amazing, but the reality was very different. The reception staff was the first disappointment. No smile, no hospitality. It did not change all the time, we felt like somebody who was not welcome. We booked a half board because we did not want to search for restaurants nearby. Breakfasts were poor, the same all seven days. Toast bread, two kinds of ham, one kind of cheese, sausages, scrambled eggs, and tomatoes. Sweet breakfast was various, very good croissants and other sweet cakes. Poor offer of fruit - apples, oranges, apricots, only twice a watermelon, no vegetables, only tomatoes. You could have only one coffee, the second one was paid for. The biggest disappointment - dinner. It was served in a restaurant nearby despite their claim that dinner is in their hotel restaurant (see their website). They also claim ”For everyone, soft drinks are unlimited using the beverages dispenser in the restaurant”. We had to pay for each drink, including water, and the beverage dispenser was available only during breakfast. We even had to visit a reception to pick up tickets for breakfast and dinner every day, which was humiliating in 2024. The room was small, but ok. Nice balcony, but there was nothing to hang wet clothes on. Fortunately, we brought a clothesline and pegs from home. The bathroom was old-fashioned, shower box was only for slim people. What was a pro, was a cleaning staff and air conditioner - it worked very well. In conclusion, we enjoyed our stay, but will not visit this hotel anymore.

Ho trovato per caso questo B&B cercando su Google, incuriosita dalle ottime recensioni e dalle camere ho contattato Tony. Ho trovato subito, durante la chiamata, una persona deliziosa, gentilissima e cortese che ci ha ospitato nella sua struttura. Per noi è stato l’appoggio per una sola notte (come tappa di rientro dalla vacanze) ma se fossi stata prima a conoscenza del posto non avrei avuto dubbi sul risceglierlo. Tony ci ha aspettati e accolti nonostante fosse ora di cena, e anche durante il tragitto per Pescara è stato molto carino nel chiederci come stesse andando il viaggio. Camera super pulita, arredata in maniera impeccabile, con tutti i confort del caso (per dire, in camera c’era una ciotolina con delle caramelle). Lo spazio colazione ricco di tantissimi cibi dolci e salati (insieme a macchinetta del caffè e a utensili vari) è sempre accessibile durante il giorno. Tony ci ha anche fornito indicazioni su dove andare a cena, dove parcheggiare ecc… insomma un’host impeccabile. È stato davvero un piacere soggiornare qui! Grazie!

Paid a small mortgage for a sea view room that was a disgrace. It was nothing like the images or descriptions on glossy booking sites. For example, the outdated wallpaper went up 40 years ago, smelled, and was peeling off. The room was tiny. minuscule. The large bed that was advertised is a bulk standard double bed. The door frame to the bathroom was hanging off. The mirror in the bathroom had a chunk missing at the top that was ragged and dangerous. The towels smelled damp. The bathroom is so small you don't really know where to hang a towel and hit your head on a shelf when cleaning your teeth. You can also hear next door using the loo and shower - it's pretty noisy and can wake you up. Worse - none of the booking sites tell you about the terrible noise - some evenings - into the small hours due to nightclubs 2/3 times a week directly opposite the hotel. The shouting/signing kept us awake and made us very tired on our supposedly relaxing break. Moreover, the sick in the streets and remnants e.g. broken glass and bottles from the party are everywhere. During the day/night - there are no tea/coffee facilities available in room so you have to pay for coffee or go out. You have just one socket to charge the multiple appliances we all travel with. The area itself when there were no beach parties was like a ghost town - seems like the dead and forgotten graveyard of the Adriatic , no one in any restaurants or bars so the standard is really hit and miss when you go out!! Take care where you eat. Sadly our problems included eating at the hotel, in particular the breakfast we had paid for. What a culinary nightmare!! When we went to the dining room anticipating a four star hot and cold option with self service, the hot consisted of scrambled egg each day and chopped frankfurters - but the eggs were always severely burned with black bits and looked grey. The frankfurters were greasy chopped and then fried to make them go further. We complained at reception - who asked ”what would you like?” we said ”eggs cooked properly please - maybe some bacon”. But sadly, the following day, the eggs were still burned. Worse - from that day forth the left over dinner from the night before was put out to achieve ”more options/choice” - dry old pork and potato. Grey again. Defo not four star!!! We tried to get on with the pastries at breakfast - but these were undercooked in the middle, and cheap and nasty, like everything to do with the Hotel Maja. We gave up eating at the hotel when we photographed guests taking dogs into the restaurant where food is served in a buffet style that we could not touch?? The only positive is that the beach is nice, but the fumes from the road below your rooms are toxic so you cannot sit on your balcony and enjoy the view. The hotel advertises that there is a charge for beach beds, they do not tell you that they are charged from 25 Euros a day upwards so can add significantly to the price of your stay. 25 Euro's is the st
