This was our first time in Montenegro, and we had such a lovely stay at Hotel Danica that we'd definitely go back! We chose Petrovac purely for its proximity to Podgorica airport as we didn't fancy a long car transfer. And what a great choice it was, as it's a stunning little town with beautiful beaches, numerous eateries and is only a short bus ride to Budva if you fancy a more lively evening. The hotel itself was even prettier than the pictures thanks to all the hydrangeas outside and we were really happy with the standard room which was actually a bedroom and separate living/dining/kitchenette. So a decent amount of space for a week's stay! A bit more on the hotel: - Location: situated next to a hiking trail with amazing views, as well as a very short walk to the beach, shops and main *****. There was also a bus stop nearby for a bus into Budva (if you fancy a white knuckle ride, that is... Let's just say speed limits don't appear to apply lol) - Cleanliness/condition of the room: walls were freshly painted, bathroom was new with a great power shower and we had fresh towels every day (plus sheets were changed mid-stay) - Staff: incredibly friendly and helpful. Always attentive at breakfast, made us feel very welcome and gave great advice for places to visit etc - Facilities: room was equipped with a hairdryer, iron, ironing board, tv (not sure if it worked as we didn't use it) and the kitchenette had a fridge, small hob, kettle and cutlery/pans/plates etc. Wifi was good (never had any problems), the aircon kept the room nice and cool (as well as the shutters) and there was also a swimming pool which although not huge, was nice for having a dip. - Breakfast: was made to order every day, with a good choice of items (see pic of menu). We always had the bacon/eggs and muesli/yoghurt (which I'd add my own fruit to) and it was all very tasty. There was always juice, coffee and bread/jam/honey ready on the table too. - Downsides... depends how fussy you are, but for us, there weren't any to be honest! The electrics did seem a bit dodgy in the rooms i.e. the sockets were loose and came away from the wall if you weren't careful with plugs, so probably need some attention! But other than that, all was good. Overall, considering we only chose Montenegro due to being restricted with what countries were allowing us in at the time of booking, we're very pleased it's now on firmly our radar, as well as the lovely Hotel Danica. We'd have no hesitation in staying here again!
