Hotel Daerah Phra Nakhon Si Ayutthaya dengan Kolam Renang

I stayed here for five nights on the final leg of my 2022 north-south road trip. Many of the guest houses in this neighborhood are still closed, this hotel was one of the only options I could find in this area. This is a pretty typical Thai/Asian-style city hotel. Behind the hotel, they have another building that is similar to a motel in the US. This is where I stayed. From the outside, it looks good, but the rooms are very basic with few amenities. Again, typical of a budget hotel that would cost 500 THB in another part of the country. At a walk-in rate of 790 THB, I thought the room was overpriced. On a positive note: the air conditioning, hot water, and refrigerator worked well and it was very clean. There is sufficient, on-site parking for those who self-drive.

I can admire the vision and ambition to create a hotel from an old (70 years) traditional Thai house - with the open air ground floor converted into attractive public areas - restaurant, pool, reception etc, and rooms upstairs. But the charm ended with the room for me - uncomfortable bed, tepid low-pressure shower, spotty wi-fi, TV not working, and a dark wood space which must be almost impossible to keep really clean. Staff were great, price very reasonable and location attractive - but really need to do better on the rooms

Quite a decent place. Older style hotel. Room fine, good river view too. Bed comfortable. Do not expect to have a refreshing shower unless you are under 150cm as it is fixed to the wall and made for small people. Anyone taller and bending down the only option, very poor really. Pool was quite good but cold as it gets no sun until much later in the afternoon. Refreshing though. Various on-site restaurants. Bar near lobby area, prices way too much I noticed. Breakfast was quite good although the staff were not friendly, seemed disinterested and some often seen larking about maybe as it was not too busy when we went. 5 minutes walking distance to train station where there are Tuk Tuks and a few eating places as well as the usual street food. 7-11 too. Train to or from BKK is worth the experience (but takes a while to go 70km) and 3rd class trip costs 15 THB...wtaf! The boat river crossing is closed at the moment as the river is too high. Getting across the river needs to be by Tuk Tuk or taxi really. Normally at least one Tuk Tuk outside the hotel too. You know the form, must haggle them down. We used Grab a lot and got where we wanted to go. Probably can walk to some of the historic sites but probably not advised and Grab is cheap and has AC so is the way to go. There is Soi Farang and Grand Street for a livelier atmosphere with more bars and restaurants, again a cheap taxi ride away. Overall not a bad place and decent location for a reasonable and not too expensive a price.

Behind the wall there is a hidden oasis. This is a perfect hotel with amazing architecture and the best outlook. Room 4 and 6 have a great view over the river to the temple. The bar upstairs is very relaxing and great selection of cocktails. The cheesecake is so special. Breakfast or diner on the terrace just watching the river and the world go by is very relaxing. I love the little lounge nook with the pillows, just ideal for reading or surfing or snoozing. Staff service was perfect. I will be back.

房間衛生還是挺好的，因為是疫情期間入住，特地自己用有消毒作用的水擦了桌子，抹布是乾淨的。衛生間的大玻璃也很乾凈。房間的門沒有反鎖的功能，也沒有那種鏈條插着的鎖。有點心裏不踏實。麪積很大，落地窗很透亮，挺好的。服務員也挺熱情。

We stayed in a large room overlooking the pool and river. It was comfortable, well equipped and quiet. The place is a haven of peace in a busy city with great views of the river and temples the other side. Breakfast was cooked to order and delicious. It was a pleasant change to be served instead of having to queue at a buffet. The hotel doesn’t serve dinner but there are excellent restaurants a short Tuk-Tuk ride away. The staff were most helpful and friendly. Unfortunately we could only stay one night but would thoroughly recommend this hotel.

Pension auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite von Ayuttaya am Fluss gelegen. Weit entfernt vom eigentlichen Geschehen und Geschichtspark, Taxi nötig. Bei meiner Ankunft, die Buchung nicht gefunden , Diskussionen. Kommunikation schwierig da kein Englisch gesprochen wurde...alles wurde per Sprachnachricht im Übersetzer auf dem Telefon bearbeitet welches man mir hinhielt zum lesen und beantworten 🙈 Zimmer zweckmäßig,gross aber alt und übertrieben brschrieben.Ich hatte eine ”Juniorsuite” welche einem größeren Zimmer entsprach mit einer Couch. Einrichtung zusammenmen gewürfelt bis zum Frühstücksbereich im Freien...war überdacht...Frühstück war ok, sehr urban aber mit frischen Eierspeisen die auch gut waren, wenn die Übersetzung des Wunsches denn dann auch richtig angekommen ist. Grabfahrer hatten mit der Lokation etwas Mühe..ich hatte mehrere Absagen...Alles in allem ...Keine Empfehlung

We stayed at the resort in one of the pool villas for an extended weekend. The villas are spacious and very nicely decorated, each in its own style. Ours had its balcony toward East, atop of the fish pond, which made a wonderful setup for a morning coffee (espresso machine dolce gusto in the room!). Some of the pool villas have an outdoor shower (private/closed of course) - you would have to ask for a room with it. The staff was super super helpful and friendly, assisting us in whatever we required. The restaurant with its open terrace is a wonderful setting for breakfast (bacon / ham and eggs, sausages, toast, marmalade, or Thai breakfast if you want) as well as for dinner. Food quality / taste was amazing. The whole setup is tranquil, the trees amazing (next to our villa was one in full blossom, inviting dozens of dozens of butterflies swarming up and down). Next to the restaurant there is a very cozy area with tables, chairs, benches and a swing under the tall trees. The spa was unfortunately closed during our stay but it would be reopened soon. Whenever we will come back to Ayutthaya, we will stay at Pludhaya again - next time we will opt for the suite version, on the other side of the resort, overlooking the fields. The setup is amazing but the hospitality of the team there made our stay truly enjoyable!

Baan Thai House is the epitome of Thai hospitality at its very best. A beautiful place to relax, enjoy the culture and tradition of this amazing country. The staff are so welcoming, friendly and efficient they added extra value to our stay by their care, concern and attention to detail. A joyful, fulfilling and truly memorable experience.
