Yuanlaiju Inn

The service at the inn is pretty good, but the setting is really not that good. I booked a deluxe dragon and phoenix kang for two nights. On the first night, I could only stay in an ordinary one (relatively lower priced) because I arrived late. However, the boss said it was the same except for the bed rails, which was indeed the case. However, this is clearly a real picture of an ordinary one, and different bed rails will result in different finished products, so the price is high. Although we were moved on the second night, the basic facilities were still poor and should be improved.

Structure located a stone's throw from the north gate, very convenient for immersing yourself in the center of the ancient city. The owner is a warm-hearted person, kind, thoughtful and warm, he immediately made me feel at home. When I returned from dinner in the evening he sent me to his place with his friends to drink the typical liquors of Pingyao, glass after glass we found ourselves in harmony laughing and joking all evening as if we were old friends. The following day he offered to keep my backpack so I could walk around the city free from burdens given my train leaving in the evening. An unforgettable experience that I will carry in my heart.

The rooms don't look anything like the photos, they are from when the place opened a long time ago. For the price it's not worth it. We didn't even shower for two days because it was so bad and everything was so neglected.
