"The stay was amazing!! The service impecable, location superb and lovely room! The Inn is located on a very central road close to the gate to the ancient city. Even though its very central, the rooms are in a back garden so its very peacefull and quiet. The room was spacious, clean and the bed very comfortable! They even have a small terrace with view of the skyline! But the best part was the service! The person working at the teception supported us with anything we asked, it felt like a piece of authentic chinese hospitality! I can only recommend this beautiful Inn to anyone visiting Pingyao!"

"This hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Pingyao Ancient City, close to the ticket office and various attractions like 日升昌. The owner is incredibly welcoming and warm, even providing transfer services from the high-speed railway station. Upon arrival, they even gave us a pingyao map and highlighted the main attractions to visit. The buffet breakfast offers a delightful selection of local dishes, all delicious. The welcome fruits, especially the apples, were particularly sweet and refreshing. Unfortunately, we only had a night’s stay, but I wouldn’t mind extending my stay if time permits."

"Wow! Just wow! I looked at this place online and I was like I totally love it and I really wanted to stay in the old city as part of the experience of going to Pingyaogucheng. The hosts were super helpful picking me up from the station communicating via the Trip/app so I didn’t have to stress about communication issues. I stayed in a kang room just near the courtyard. It was really comfortable a little chair and table, TV (not that I used it) kettle, private bathroom. It’s really convenient to go to a lot of the central places for sightseeing and also great food and snacks. You can try some homemade alcohol and vinegar - and yes you get a bottle of vinegar to take with you at the end of your stay."

"Very pretty inn, the staff was very nice. All in all, I very much recommend staying here, I was impressed by the quality with such a low price (I paid 27€ for a night, in a room made for three people!). The only thing is that the inn is also a costume and photography shop, open quite late, and it was super noisy until around midnight."

"The environment is quite picturesque especially at night. They have a free pickup from the north gate of Pingyao. The staff and owners are very helpful and friendly and can help with bookings (even providing a slight discount). The costumes can also be used for picture taking. The mattress is Chinese style so a bit hard on the kang. Breakfast is good, mostly vegetarian Chinese style breakfast."

"A truly perfect stay! First, the owner called ahead to give directions. I personally tried it: taking a taxi to the ”Xindongmen” (New East Gate) of the ancient city, then walking straight to the guesthouse without any turns – it was super easy to find, and a 650-meter walk with a suitcase felt manageable. Second, the guesthouse is ideally located near all the main attractions like the Yamen, City God Temple, and South Street. Third, the room I booked, though not large, was very clean and comfortable. There's a bar downstairs, which was lovely for a drink and some music after a long day of sightseeing. Fourth, the owner was incredibly considerate. We were heading out of the ancient city to Shuanglin Temple the next day and needed a late check-out at 12 PM, which they readily agreed to. Finally, we even received a thoughtful farewell gift – I was genuinely touched, thank you. Wishing them all the best! Goodbye, Pingyao!"

"For this trip to Pingyao Ancient City, I chose the upscale Pingyao Libai Hotel. As expected of a Jinjiang Inn hotel, the entire hotel was spacious and bright, with warm and modern rooms. All the amenities were in place, making for a very comfortable stay. Parking was very convenient for those traveling by car, thanks to the hotel's on-site parking lot, which was in a prime location. The hotel environment was beautiful, and the staff were warm and attentive. Getting to Pingyao Ancient City was easy; it's not far from the West Gate and North Gate, just a short walk away. There are also many dining options nearby in the evenings. Staying at the Libai Hotel when visiting Pingyao Ancient City is a perfect choice!"

"Staying at this hotel was a truly unique experience, almost like stepping back in time while maintaining all the modern comforts. The building is splendid, a true traditional Shanxi house with an internal courtyard, antique wood, historical decorations, and that atmosphere that only Pingyao can offer. The room was cozy, clean, and tastefully furnished, a perfect balance between tradition and comfort. The comfortable bed, modern bathroom, and attention to detail made the stay even more enjoyable. Even the quiet at night, rare in many tourist destinations, was an added bonus. The staff was extremely kind: they welcomed us with a smile, helped us with our bags, and provided excellent tips for visiting the ancient city. They speak enough English to make all communications quick and easy. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk from the main streets yet far enough from the noise. A true oasis of tranquility. For the price and the overall experience, I consider it a must-see if you visit Pingyao. I would definitely stay here again."
