Hotel Pissouri dengan Kolam Renang

We were recommended this hotel by friends and we were not in anyway disappointed. From the moment we arrived to the time of our departure, we lived in luxury and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We stayed in a Junior Suite with a pool view. The room was very spacious and well appointed. The large bathroom had everything needed and luxury towels and a his and hers sink. The towels were heavy and frequently replaced and there were plenty of toiletries and other useful items. Being Cyprus, the only unusual practice was a bin to place used toilet paper. After the bathroom there was a sink and refrigerator plus cupboards with glasses and crockery. The refrigerator was a mini bar. There was a coffee machine and kettle with plenty of tea/coffee (no biscuits sadly). There was plenty of wardrobe and drawer space to store clothes and in the wardrobe were dressing gowns, a free carry bag, flip flops and shoe cleaning kit. Lots of hangers too. The bed was expansive and consisted of two mattresses so there was plenty of room and you didn't wake your partner when getting up during the night. The beds were turned down each evening, with a chocolate and inspirational message left on each side of the bed. The last section was the lounge area with a settee and chairs - enough for for people to enjoy, if you invited anyone back for a drink. A TV with various channels, not the we watched any of it. There is a telephone and lamps, etc. The final section was a small patio with a table and two chairs. Our had a very nice view of the main pool. We stayed on a B&B basis. The breakfast was unmissable. There was a huge range of food available and something to suit all dietary requirements. The waiting staff and very friendly and helpful. We did try the evening food and some poolside snacks and found the portions to be very generous and the food presented to a very high standard. As expected with a quality hotel, the prices are above what you would pay at a local restaurant but we still enjoyed sampling what was on offer. The local village of Pissouri Bay was a short walk from the hotel. There are a couple of local grocers and plenty of restaurant / café choices. The hotel beach is made of of pebbles but there are duck boards and sunbeds to walk and rest on. I recommend some rubber beach shoes if you like to swim in the sea. We have booked again for next year which says it all. A fabulous place to enjoy a well earned rest.

I wouldn't recognise the Hylatio Tourist Village from some of the Reviews that have been left. This is our second visit and we would happily go again. We asked for the same room as last time and they were able to accommodate us. Yes, the apartment is dated, the beds on the firm side and the whole apartment could do with a bit of TLC and makeover, but it was more than adequate for our needs. Having limited mobility, I found the over the bath shower difficult to cope with and in this day and age, I feel that to be more inclusive of disabled people, the bath should be removed and a walk in shower installed. But I knew that and it was a compromise I was happy to make because we like the place very much. It's not huge which is what we prefer. The site has a washing machine and tumble dryer. A wash is €4 and tumble dry is €2, which is very reasonable. It also has a 'library' of books where you can help yourself to a holiday read. All the staff, including the owner were very friendly. They will help you with reservations and taxi bookings etc. The food can be a bit repetitive, but so are most AI establishments. We were able to get something we liked at very meal. The village is a 10 minute walk away, but we coped with that. During the day, everything is centred around the pool and bar, with not much else, so if you want other diversions to occupy you, don't come here, unless you are prepared to make your own entertainment. There was entertainment three nights a week, some acts better than others, but we don't crave entrainment every night, being quite happy to sit and have a glass of wine and just generally relax. I wouldn't recommend self-catering. The facilities for this are very basic and to get supplies if you don't have a car can be an onerous trek back up the hill from the small supermarkets, loaded with s supplies. The hotel could make this more clear in their advertising, I think. Don't come here if you are hoping for a 4 or 5 star experience for 3 star prices. Hylatio Tourist Village is relatively quiet and simple compared to most hotels, so if you want entertainment and busyness every day, rthis wouldn't suit you.
