Aparthotel Can Picafort Palace

Free wifi means 1 hr free a day. No water, no amenities. Reception not very helpful.

We stayed for a week mid June and booked via love holidays. The room was fantastic, larger than average, clean and the bathroom was great. Lovely balcony and room had kettle, toaster, hob and a larger fridge. All in all very impressed with the bedroom. Ironing boards were available with a 10 euro deposit. The hotel itself is exceptionally clean and facilities are very good. The pool area is modern and plenty of sun beds. The indoor pool has recently been renovated and better than some spas I’ve been to in Uk. Reception areas and bar areas could do with modernisation. The pool bar is a lovely area. Toilets recently been refurbished and cleaned regularly. There was a different show each night 9.30-10.30 however after the show everyone left and was like a ghost town. My only criticisms would be around evening atmosphere and service. The restaurant staff were fast and quick at taking dirty plates and clearing tables however half the restaurant was cordoned off consistently and we were jam packed in like sardines. So busy and load as lots of children and the flow of the buffet did not work. I was asked by staff mid eating my meal to move table even know the table I had sat at was not in cordoned off section. I just looked at the waiter and he said “big boss won’t be happy”. I was absolutely livid. I then had to move tables with my half eaten plate of food and carry my own drink. The dining experience is not relaxing and instead in and out as opposed to sitting and enjoying but very rushed. Staff don’t come and ask if you would like another drink and you aren’t encourage to stay. The food is fine. A lot of pork and spam for German guest but desserts were fantastic and salad bar always available. Same irritations followed in the pool bar. Had to stand in a certain section for an all inclusive drink even though the bar was empty. The snacks available during the day from the pool bar are worst I have ever encountered in a 4 star all inclusive hotel. Usually you get chips, burgers, pizzas, toasties etc but no. Literally half a cut up white bread sandwich or biscuits and cut up cake from breakfast. Irritating as there’s a full kitchen within the pool bar so they have the capacity. The staff weren’t the friendliest and on a night as soon as the show finished they are rushing around you wanting you to leave even though bar is open till midnight. They close up around you and leave you in darkness so you leave which is a similar theme in the restaurant. Just busy busy to get rid of people. Overall a great hotel with so many positives - location is fantastic, rooms large and well equipped, great on site facilities but the petty rules and staff rules totally ruined it for us. The entertainment team were ok. Seen sat on the stage chatting waiting for their lunch at 1pm most of the time and didn’t really want to engage. Work needs to be done to improve it. First family holiday to Majorca. Was looking at Alcudia or Can Picafort. I have kidney failure and dialyse every night to stay alive. I emailed a hotel in alcudia to ask if they would be happy to take delivery of my dialysis. I never got a reply. I then emailed Tonga Towers next door. Again no reply. I then found the can picafort palace online, emailed them and got a reply straight away. They have been extremely helpful with great communication. I think it says a lot about a hotel if they can't be bothered to reply to me about something that is my lifeline. The hotel is lovely. The pool is perfect with plenty of sunbeds for everyone. The rooms are much bigger than the online photos show and are cleaned daily. There's a lovely indoor pool too and a decent gym. We were self catering so can't comment on the food but the pool bar does a fab mojito. A short walk gets you to the top of the main street that has shops, restaurants and bars. This leads down to the sea front Can Picafort is a lovely resort amd the palace is a great hotel. Would highly recommend.

Excellent family hotel. We had an all inclusive stay with a 2 and 4 year old, facilities for children were great, a safe enclosed children's splash pool, great day time and evening entertainment, so much for them to do,they had such a fun time. My daughter really enjoyed mini disco and also kids club, which is in a bright clean environment. This was run by Cristina, who was really fantastic with the kids, I felt safe and comfortable to leave her there to play for a couple of hours. The food was so fantastic and so much choice every evening, although at times the dining room is quite busy, it's usually better to go early when its quiet. Reception staff were extremely helpful when we needed a couple of extra things for the room, which made things easy for us. Room and hotel all very clean. I would recommend the hotel for anyone travelling with young children.

Rooms are spacious and include air con as standard and are always cleaned immaculately. The animation team are fantastic and always super enthusiastic about every activity they do and the mini club has something on all day everyday. Both my 6 and 12 year olds enjoyed the pool facilities and night time activities.

Absolutely fabulous family holiday! Would highly recommend! Travelled in August as a family of 4 with 2 children aged 3 and 6 and loved it so much have booked to return next Summer. The room was a great size for the 4 of us, we especially liked how the kids had a seperate single sofa beds each rather than having to share a double in previous hotels we've stayed in! Room was cleaned 5 out of 7 days with towels replaced. The restaurant served a great selection of meals and we all found something that we liked each evening! The children enjoyed helping themselves to all of the deserts! It was a bit like a canteen during busier times but suited us as we were in and out! Great location only a 10 min walk to a beautiful beach. The water was nice and shallow so perfect for the children. The evening entertainment wasn’t the best we’ve seen but the mini disco was enough for the kids and the team worked really hard all day ( we loved water bingo). All in all the perfect chilled holiday for us and we can’t wait to return!

All was good. Very friendly people. Hotel's restaurant is very spacious with very quick and efficient staff. Food was as expected. Hotel holds 4 stars, but would say it is 3 star plus. The reason is bathroom is out of date, WiFi speed is bad plus you have to pay for it. There is 1h free per day but it is useless. In my opinion if you sell Internet, make sure it has no issues. All in all was satisfying

My husband became unwell 2 days before we were due to go home - staff knew this as the day before we left I phoned reception and asked for clean linen so I could change the beds - so the lovely friendly cleaning ladies didn’t have to come into the apartment as my husband had flu like symptoms . When I phoned that say I also asked what time we had to vacate the apartment - I was told 14.00 hrs . The day we were leaving J rang to book a taxi for 4 pm- when I went downstairs to get done water I checked with the receptionist that the taxi was booked and that we could stay in the room until 2pm - she said no 12 o’clock, I explained that my husband was unwell and that I was told 1400 hrs and could I pay for a few more hours ? She was very brusk and dismissive and said no the the hotel was full. This was the older grey haired receptionist - I don’t know her name as she had no name badge and no form of identification ? I asked where my husband could lie down and she suggested the sofa in reading room above reception , so my 6ft 3 inch husband had to lie on a very small 2 seater sofa in an open noisy area - with people passing by . As a nurse I cannot believe this is the way you treat your guests and that you make no provision for such a situation in such a large hotel And that this has never happened before and your staff are not trained to deal with unwell guests ? I found this receptionist very unhelpful & uncaring and feel she certainly needs some training in good customer service and hospitality . She could take some lessons from you fantastic cleaning staff who were charming and worked really hard every day and are an asset to your hotel - it’s a shame your front of house staff are so poor. This spoiled a really lovely holiday - 3 weeks on my husband has recovered from his viral illness , however we won’t be back to visit your hotel again

Spent a week here with my partner half board 12/9 - 19/9. What can I say. Fabulous hotel. Great size suite, very clean. Lounge, full equipped Kitchen, large bedroom & bathroom with bath with shower. Quietest hotel room I have ever stayed in. Rooms soundproofed with upvc double glazing, anti slam doors, carpeted hall, so no click-clacking of heels on tiles. Comfortable big beds We really enjoyed the food, plenty of selection at breakfast & dinner. Entertainment was of a decent standard and the staff were all great. Will certainly be going back to this hotel again in the future.
