Hotel Playa Blanca dengan Gim

Walked into foyer and thought wow! After a couple of days you could see below the surface. The rooms are basic and we had a junior suite 😳. Food was very average and poor quality, especially the fish. People found it difficult to find seats in the piano bar and complaining. Reception toilet poorly maintained. The hotel is dated, tiles coming off swimming pool floor and walls. Our safety deposit box was broken, we asked for it to be fixed, told it would take 40 minutes and we gave up after a few days. The staff work very hard but there’s not enough of them waiting on especially in piano bar Disappointed and definitely not a 5 star hotel

Where to start? Our experience at this hotel was disappointing from the moment we arrived. Upon check-in, we were told our apartment wasn’t ready and had to wait nearly an hour for the keys. While waiting, we were instructed to leave our luggage at reception, with assurances they would be delivered to our room. Unfortunately, two hours later, the luggage was still missing. When we returned to reception, we were shocked to hear they had no idea where our belongings were. Eventually, they were discovered abandoned in an empty apartment. The Room The apartment itself was decent but far from perfect. There was noticeable mould on the bathroom walls, and several lights didn’t work. We reported the issue to reception, but after a 12-day stay, nothing had been fixed. It’s clear maintenance requests are not taken seriously. The Pools The pools were well-kept and warm, but they came with a hidden hazard: the dangerously slippery tiles. We saw multiple incidents of children and adults slipping and injuring themselves. It’s only a matter of time before someone ends up in the hospital. The Restaurant The dining experience was another low point. The buffet offered a wide selection, but most of the food was cross-contaminated, overcooked, and tasteless. Basic utensils to serve yourself were scarce, with one or two shared among multiple dishes, which is a serious concern for anyone with allergies. The vegetables were overcooked to the point of being mushy, the pizzas were undercooked, and the pasta was broken into tiny, unappetizing pieces. Desserts, regardless of what you chose, all tasted the same. Staffing in the restaurant was abysmal. While there were 12-14 waiters during our previous visit, this year, we were lucky to see three or four. The remaining staff were clearly overworked, and we genuinely felt sorry for them. Cleanliness & Hygiene Cleanliness was another issue. Glassware in the restaurant was questionable, and we strongly recommend bringing your own if you value your health. Speaking of which, don’t forget to stock up on Imodium—you may need it during your stay. Other Issues • Ants were everywhere, including the apartment, patio, and even reception. • The pool bar was severely understaffed, with only one person serving drinks for hundreds of guests. • On a positive note, the main bar was better managed, thanks largely to Malcolm, who kept things running efficiently. Final Thoughts The staff, while friendly, are clearly exhausted and stretched too thin. The hotel has the potential to be a beautiful destination if managed properly, but sadly, it falls far short of a 4-star standard. This was our second visit, hoping the issues from last year would be resolved, but the experience was worse. For the price, this hotel is simply not worth it. There are better options nearby that offer better value and a higher standard of service. This will definitely be our last stay here. Avoid wasting your money.

Second visit and a few changes since last time. We heard guests complain about the food in the buffet but I thought the selection was excellent; a lot of fish dishes if that’s your thing. The hotel did have issues keeping some of the dishes hot. Some of the alcoholic drinks now have a supplement. Our room was ‘tired’ but with an extremely comfortable bed and kept spotlessly clean by our excellent maid. It appears that as soon as the hotel decorates a room it becomes a ‘premium’ room and attracts a supplement. Disappointingly the food in the new Italian restaurant was mediocre and we had been so looking forward to it. The menu is limited but that doesn’t seem to help with the quality of the food. The main plus about a visit to the White Suites is the staff. They are genuinely friendly and provide great service. I got the impression that the hotel may be a bit short-staffed because, by goodness, they work their socks off. At times a queue formed at the pool bar but that was often caused by guests ordering coffees. Playa Blanca is a lovely resort and there aren’t many hotels located as centrally as the White Suites. All in all, I thought it was good value and for an all-inclusive winter holiday, just the job.

We stayed for 10 nights with parents and a 3 year old. The food and service was average with frequently left dirty tables around the snack bar and restaurant. Often broken or no plastic cups available for drinks, hot drinks machine broken. One of the legs fell off the bed and it took 24 hours to get repaired. A lot of small ants around the kitchen and sink area. Our room (33b) was behind the delivery entrance which was constant throughout the night. Having previously stayed at a TUI blue (Alcudia Pins) we did feel a little let down by the facilities and children’s entertainment. Overall it was a nice resort in a good location but couldn’t recommend to friend / family.

Want a great holiday in Lanzarote Then Hotel LIVVO Volcan is the place for you Just came back 4-11th Oct The hotel is lovely, staff helpful, friendly nothing to much trouble Location right on the marina perfect for bars resturants ( all budgets) and supermarkets x3 water etc Breakfast, to much choice 1/2 dozen types of bread cold and hot offers a plenty ( 4 toasters) Egg Station Evening meals ( we took the 3 night offer, like to eat out some nights) Again great, hot grill master chef at work, soups hot cold, salads omg everything, Ice creamn 4 flavours spuds (have a mixed grill Roast, Mash, Spanish Spuds & Mash :) You will not be dissappointed Hotel room spotless, aircon very easy to use ( most hotels aircon never work properly) Fridge, Kettle, Plenty 2 point sockets everywhere. The accommodation was bright, modern spacious and very clean. Well equipped for self catering though we didn't cook, just used ot as a base.All the staff were so nice. I can't comment on the pool, although it looked lovely and was very quiet, as we tended to go to Flamingo beach a pleasant 15mins walk away. Excellent beach with a fab beach bar. The bar below the complex is very good, great atmosphere and a pool table. Only thing I would say is the shop, bar etc aren't open until 11am, which is fine if you get your supplies in, we weren't that organised and just headed out to the main town in the morning and stayed out for the day. I would definitely recommend Palmeras Gardens if you're after a relaxing break in a quiet area. You couldn't fault it.
