Location was perfect, also parking for the car. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was les to our preference, bc we don’t eat many things, we love to have a buffet style. Anyhow, they were very nice and tried to help in anyway they could. The condo was amazing, including the kitchen, the living room and bathroom. The only thing is that we got soap, shampoo and the rest only the first day ( out of 5) will definitely come back and recommend.

Great staff and concierge - taxis nearby and 5th Ave steps away. very zen like ambiance w good restaurant. you dont get a beach here and have a ways to go to walk to Mamitas Beach. The coastal view is nice. Tours all around. great spot. Good rates. recommend yes and please enjoy !

Lovely oasis in the center of Playa for those seeking a boutique feel. We loved our one-bedroom suite with kitchen, washer/dryer and seating area, with a view of palm trees and the ocean. Amazing dawn colors! While this property is just a few blocks from a row of dance clubs that spill out onto the street, we fell asleep easily to the sound of the lapping waves. Eric the bellhop was helpful and warm, and Angela kept our unit clean and tidy.
One caveat is that the general-use spa is not warmer than the rest of the pool. (The individual terrace spas may be different, but our room didn't have one.) Another is that the beach right in front of the hotel is where some small sport fishing boats tie up. There are still lovely loungers available, but for swimming, you have to walk a few minutes in either direction.
The breakfasts we ate at the beach club restaurant were delicious and filling. You also get discounts/offers at nearby businesses, including a 10-minute back rub or $10 discount for a full massage plus gym access.

The El Taj is a perfect location for walking around town. We were 4 girls and felt very safe the entire time we were there. The only downside was currently there is no beach at the hotel. There was a storm 2 months ago and the beach directly in front of the hotel was washed away. Walking to other beaches is very easy. I would definitely stay there again

Nice, serene and green. Staff was good. Rooms were nice and big. Excellent fully functional kitchen with utensils and condiments.
Bed was nice with good sheets and blankets. The bed spring was weak though as it sagged and made squeaking noise. So didn’t sleep that well. Also there was noise throughout the night. The white noise machine didn’t help much.

This place is timeless in its design, affordable, and it’s located between all the Xcaret parks.
The concierge helped with EVERYTHING; taxis, breakfast, activities, etc.
Despite the hot weather, the AC worked so well, our rooms remained ice cold during the whole stay.
The condo 2 room suite we stayed in looked out into a lush courtyard, jungle like in plant density, with a Instagram worthy pool and hot tub.

The beach was not ideal, our hot-tub was not very warm, dryer didn't work. We had a penthouse and it was nice… we also had some kids snooping around our roof top when they thought no one was around. I was not happy about that.
