Alsol Walhalla

Have stayed at these apar**ents many times, but not since they have been refurbished. They are clean, modern and spacious. Comfortable beds, fully equipped kitchen and comfortable furniture. Great location for both the beach and the Yumbo. Pool bar serves extensive snacks and drinks with friendly staff. Lovely well kept gardens and pool area.

Returned from a family holiday in february with my husband and 2 kids aged 5 and 12. This was our 2nd visit having previously stayed at walhalla february 22'. Last time we were in room 309 which was completely updated to an excellent standard. Our recent visit we were ground floor room 101 - not a good room I'm afraid. It was smaller and darker than previous, bathroom was half updated with a poor shower cubicle which leaked! Last room was a glass panel with walk in shower - lovely! No air con just fans which was noisy in our bedroom so was hot at nights. Room 101 is also next to the cleaners office so every morning we were woken by the cleaners noisy conversations and clanging their equipment (and yes windows were all closed). Was so glad for Sunday when we could have a longish lye in. Previous visit our family experienced worms in the ground floor rooms, thankfully we didn't have this issue. 1st night I noticed a worm on floor in main living area but after this there was no a reoccurring issue. Our main door and bathroom looked like it had previously had a break in as it was screwed shut. This is poor. Someone could have easily kicked in our front door and got into the apar**ent as it did not feel secure at all! There was also no draining for dishes so this made a mess in kitchen area. Other apar**ent had this nect to sink :/ apart from the above issues our holiday was brilliant, the convenience of being literally a walk away from the pool was handy with the kids. Staff are all very pleasant, bar by pool very convenient and bar staff very friendly. Pool is heated so ideal during a winter holiday, and excellent location to most amentities. As frequent visitors to Gran Canaria (as we have friends who stay there) we would return tk the walhalla as we always enjoy our stay however next time it would be good to have either a ground floor apar**ent either rooms 103, 104 or 105 (away from cleaners and not near the main gate into complex) or top floor to get those amazing views! Until maybe next time..... february 2025?

I have previously stayed at the Walhalla in the main apar**ent block and had been very happy with the size and quality of the room. This time we stayed in one of the Walhalla’s small number of bungalows (located just up a flight of stairs behind the swimming pool). We were blown away. We can’t speak highly enough of these fantastic bungalows. In brief: we had two bedrooms (a double and a twin); two bathrooms with full walk-in showers; large kitchen area; very spacious lounge with sofa that also converted to a double bed; terrace; garden (which was beautifully maintained); and sunbeds and outdoor table and chairs. The kitchen was very well stocked with utensils/appliances, including kettle, toaster, coffee maker. There was also a pack of cloths, sponges and washing up liquid. Bathrooms had toiletries (liquid soap and shower gel). The whole place was spotless and in really good condition. It had the benefit of being in a quiet corner, so was very peaceful – yet just a few stairs away from the pool. We would stay at these bungalows again in a heartbeat.

This is a well positioned set of apar**ents, ideal for going to the yumbo centre or to the beach. Three of us stayed very comfortably for 7 days in the apar**ents. If we had feedback it would be the lack of mirrors (two in the apar**ent and not in ideal locations), iron broke in the room and the fan system is a little difficult to work out. Overall good value for money and would happily stay there again.

Great apar**ent. Take salt & pepper, scissors, hair dryer if you need them. Clean room and cleaning services 5/7 weekly. No AC but fans in bedrooms- may need to ask for controller. Wedge open from door and back for a flow of fresh air. Washing machine & dryer on site €5 includes liquid. 2 supermarkets close by - 1 on way to beach 1 larger cheaper, Dino, up steps from swimming pool. Pool clean. Staff friendly & helpful. Larger shopping centre Yumbo with restaurants and bars via steps from pool. We ate out every night and no problems. Sunbeds on beach €7.50 for 2 all day - beach busy but still loads of room. We will definitely return.

The hotel is great considering the price we paid. Very very helpful staff, nice apar**ents and the pool area is nice and always sunbeds available. The best thing about the hotel is definitely Diego and his bar/restaurant! Such nice a**osphere and music at his bar 😎 We loved the palm trees outside our balcony. Close to the beach! There is no air conditioning but fans in the rooms.

Friendly welcome and clean and tidy The rooms were fresh Biggest negative was no air conditioning in 35-40 degrees made for terrible sleep - friends were sleeping on the balcony at times due to the heat. The pool and pool area was nice - although the lifeguard needs to chill a bit - we were told off for throwing a ball between two adults. The poolside cafe was great - tasty food, tasty drinks and splendid service.

Hotel was very good, great location. Would definitely stay again and recommend to others. Maids came everyday and the rooms were very clean. Staff friendly and helpful.

Stayed here with our three young children. Perfect location just a short walk to beach , shops and other amenities. Water park is a short taxi drive away. Very clean apar**ent. Plenty of space for a family of 5. Unfortunately my son suffered a severe croup attack on night three of our stay. The man at reception couldn't have been more helpful, rang an ambulance and communicated with paramedics for us. We had to cut our stay short due to this but will definitely be back as soon as possible. Thank you Alsol Walhalla!
