Hotel berhampiran Via Ferata Perunika, Podstrana

Very spacious room. Clean and comfortable. Comfortable mattress. Two TVs. Sound blockage not great.

L'hotel Gala è in realtà la depandance dell'hotel San Antonio che guarda il mare mentre il Gala è situato tra il San Antonio e la strada. Quindi le foto che vedete della struttura sono del San Antonio. Il check in si fa quindi all'hotel Antonio . Quando si entra nell'ingresso dell'hotel Gala si stente una forte puzza che ho scoperto essere legata agli odori della lavanderia sottostante all'hotel. Fuori dall'hotel grande disordine e sporcizia. Aprendo la finestra si trovano cose buttate dell'hotel come se fosse una discarica. La camera , sebbene spaziosa, aveva il terzo letto in un divano letto che occupava tutto lo spazio di manovra ed aveva un divano distrutto , con doghe rotte e con impossibilità di dormire dal lato dell'apertura. Una finestra tutta rovinata è coperta da una tenda e alcune tende sono anche bucate (non certo da 4 stelle). La piscina all'ultimo piano del San Antonio è ”dismessa” . Tutto disordine, puzza e sporcizia ovunque. Colazione sufficiente . Unico punto positivo è stata la gentilezza nel check in da parte del ragazzo che parlava italiano. Per il resto non ho potuto cambiare hotel perchè nella zona erano tutti pieni ma certamente non lo consiglierei a meno che non venga ristrutturato.

It is a good option for you if you drive since the hotel is located 15 minutes from Split old town. It is a fair distance to drive to the centre. The hotel is new and clean with a modern interior design of the room which makes it pleasant to stay. The well design of the hotel room makes it feel spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is relatively simple with not much choice but that does not bother us since Split has many great restaurants out there waiting for us. Overall, I am satisfied with this stay and would recommend this hotel since it is clean and beautiful.

Gem of a place. Perfect location. Walking distance to ferries , bus station, railway station and old Town. Super friendly staff. Freshly prepared to order breakfast. Highly recommended.

What an excellent hotel. From the moment we arrived you knew this was going to be a fantastic stay. The staff make this place what it is. Always helpful and polite. The hotel is also so clean never anything out of place. We had a deluxe room on the 9th floor which had beautiful views and everything we could wish for. Very spacious, twin sinks, separate bath and shower. However there is a glass wall separating the bathroom to the bedroom but there is a curtain if you wish to make it more private. The pool area was superb with plenty of sun beds and comfy sofas. The best bit was the buzzer on each table so you didn’t even have to go to the bar to get your own drinks. The waiting staff also were excellent. Nothing was too much trouble and you certainly felt well looked after. One slight disappointment was the location. A 2 mile, 40 minute walk into Omis which was doable. However the buses do run twice an hour and with the Promet Split app, tickets only cost €1.25 and you can track the bus on its route. You can also travel to Split which can take about an hour for €1.50. Also the hotel is situated on the main costal road which at times is busy but there is a crossing outside the hotel. To get to the beach bar you cross the road and have to go through a camp site which isn’t the best. The beach bar was in a great spot though, however on a couple of occasions we were the last ones there and despite closing at 8.00 pm, by 7.30 pm, we were asked for our cushions, in other words, ‘please go’. The food was superb at breakfast there was plenty of choice. We ate a few times in the evening taking advantage of the buffet at €26, on one evening, which was excellent but in some ways too much choice and you end up with a bit of mess on your plate. Breakfast is served in the main restaurant where there is little outside space, only a narrow terrace which overlooks the road. Overall a wonderful relaxing stay, there are a few good restaurants nearby and more of a choice in Omis. I would throughly recommend the hotel and if you don’t mind taking the bus then the location will suit you too.
