Riverside Apartments by the Beach

Good location. Close to the beach and restaurants. Bed was uncomfortable and very loud. Shower broke off and had issues with that upon arrival but fortunately they sent maintenance pretty quickly. ok for one night

*** WARNING: COCKROACH INFESTED ROOMS!!! *** They moved us after 2 days of complaining of roaches and the new room they put us in also had roaches. They refused to refund us our money, not even a partial refund. We spent our Thanksgiving in roach infested rooms and Riverside Apts in Pompano was a nightmare to deal with. I’ll never stay here again. You’ve been warned! Look to stay somewhere else!

It was a very nice stay. The location was great and we got a good deal on the room. The only downside was when we checked in. We arrived 15 mins before check in and waited with someone in the room with no conversation for 15 mins. The individual was playing on her phone and did not look at us or say anything. They did not even let the manager know we were there. We felt like we were at customs waiting to get in a country.

Stay Away from this place. The Rooms are not what is displayed online. My room smelled of mildew, the a/c unit was dripping water, the bathroom sink clogged, the elevator is disgusting. NEVER AGAIN

The pictures look a lot better than the reality. I had to confirm with staff that I was at the right location because the exterior looked worst than the picture. Arrived early and the office was closed, I didn't realize this hotel does not have administrative staff onsite at all times so had to call and wait, most communication was via texting so make sure if you're from outside the US you have data coverage. The room was cold, didn't have control of AC coming thru the room vent because it was being controlled by the adjoining room(archaic), only had control of the portable unit in the room. Kitchenette was fine and the room was just ok, but the bathroom that you have to step up into was tiny. The shower stall is pinched, you can't bend over and if you're extremely overweight or obese forget about it. Had to ask for the room to be cleaned as it is not automatically done. The hotel needs TLC, but the location is great. Not sure how the ratings are so high, but that's how I was misled into staying.

The attempt at renovating a very old, low income month-to-month apartment building fell short. It smelled clean and the decor looked nice, but the carpet in the bedroom was filthy (we had to wear our flip flops because it felt wet and our feet were turning black), and there were tons of small bugs crawling on the walls and in the sink of the bathroom. Bright lights in front coming through the kitchen blinds and frosted bathroom window and back bedroom window made it very hard to sleep since they couldn’t be blocked out. Neighbors were blasting music, partying, and smoking on the balcony outside at 1:00am. All staff were very pleasant and professional and outdoor pool area looked nice, but not much else to write home about.

I tried to cancel after showing up to the property before my room was ready and after reading reviews. But the cancellation policy wasn’t in my favor. After staying there - no issues. I’ll start with this as a few reviews said otherwise: my 3rd floor room was clean and I had plenty of towels. Downside - dead batteries in the remote so the TV didn’t work. Oh - no tiny shelf in the shower to put the shampoo and soap. My guess is that they have a staffing and cash flow issue. That would explain the reviews and the property not being maintained as best as it could. The latter my own observation. Advice to the property manager: 1. Fix the singular elevator ASAP. 2. A little landscaping goes a long way and makes a great first impression. Invest in a truckload of mulch and bring the place back to its former “glory.” Site pictures are clearly old. 3. post pix of rooms with terracotta tile floors vs carpet - if that’s pre-renovation - let people know.

First of all the pictures were absolutely fooling. I walked into the room and the floors were the first thing that set me off, they were dirty and the tile was nothing like the picture!. Then I went into the bathroom just wanted to take a shower and the handle was super lose barely holding on so I called the number they told me I had to pull it towards me (only thing good is how fast they responded and answered when I called) The whole stay I kept seeing little worms everywhere. Seemed more like a motel and I always had to walk up 8flights of stairs because the elevator was broken

Great rate. But elevator not working. Office closed early making check in challenging. Limited hours for housekeeping. Pool freezing.
