Good stay in the heart of pondicherry. Very close to the beach and great vibe

A cute, cozy, comfortable, clean property just the way any traveller would prefer and love staying at. The team at the hotel is courteous, duty-bound and receptive. Morning breakfast was scrumptious. Looking forward for another stay at Le Dupleix.

Short trip for 2 nights, Stay was a pleasant experience, Staff was friendly, swift checkin/checkout. Staff helped arrange a bike in a short notice. Breakfast at promenade was awesome! location was walkable from rock beach! Architecture and design is commendable!

The Stay was quite amzing. The room was clean well maintained, Room service was a little late sometimes but everything else was pretty good. few pointers would be -no lift so request for a room on the lower floor or check with them regarding availability. climbing steps can be quite difficult for older people. -No designated Parking area, only street parking infront of the hotel which was pretty safe and non-troublesome. -Location is perfect as it is in the heart of white town, you can pretty much walk to anywhere from the hotel in white town. -Beach is just a street away. -Good french food in their restaurant little over the expensive side but worth the taste! -For breakfast buffets, spas & pool you'll have to walk to their other property which a 5 mins from there- the Promenade -Water pressure and temperature was a little moody, but not troublesome -Very good service from all the staff, really helpful and nice Overall I stay with my family and really enjoyed the stay! Would definetly reccomend for the comfort and location

Customer service by Ms.Padmini from Housekeeping team was excellent. Good hospitality. Rooms were maintained neat and tidy. She was punctual, polite and ready to provide services during odd hours. Always ready to render there services whenever required. Must visit place in Pondy!!

The stay was perfect and Mrs Padhmini saleem house keeping was a special mention for the comfort and care. Food was good and the only thing to be concerned is musquito and the construction sound from the nearer building.But that’s not a big issue for the stay.

Comfortable old place … real antiques in rooms. Very good food, especially South Indian style, like dosas and country chicken curry. Friendly and helpful staff. 5 minutes walk from beachfront: A good thing because quieter and less crowded. Pretty good oldies band on weekend nights. I’d stay again.

The stay was beautiful, the property gives a very homely feeling and the staff is super helpful especially Padmini helped us alot through out our stay. The ambiance and cleanliness was also top notch Highly recommending booking your stay here when in pondy

I stayed here for two nights from 21st to 23rd February 2024 with my husband and we were extremely dissatisfied with our stay! We were in Room 14 on the top floor and had the following experience: - On check-in, our room and bathroom floor was filthy! Our feet literally turned black while walking barefoot and we had to complain, post which they mopped the floor and it got slightly better! The room was musty and that musty smell did not go throughout our stay! - The sofas in the room are visibly dusty and have no padding / cushioning at all. You literally feel like you're sitting on a rock. - The room door is entirely glass and allows sunlight to enter the room which is just impractical designing as you wake up every morning with abundant light entering the room! The door is also super flimsy and needs to be changed ASAP! - The reception has incompetent and inexperienced staff who just seem confused and unsure of what to do. Every time we raised an issue or requested for something to be done, the lady at the reception seemed unclear about how to resolve it and most times nothing was done! - There is major construction work going on at the plot adjacent to the hotel and while we cannot blame the hotel for this, the noise and dust is ridiculous! the hammering and drilling would start at 6 am (not sure how that's even legally allowed!). Not at all ideal for a vacation! The location of the hotel is fantastic and given that this is a TripAdvisor Travelers' Choice winning property and a Hidesign Hotel, we booked it. But the hotel is definitely run down and needs major upkeep and maintenance! There were other guests who had the same experience as us. FYI - there is no lift in the hotel so one has to climb stairs to the rooms which are on the higher floors. This should be highlighted for people with handicaps, health issues, etc.
