Lagoon Sarovar Premiere Resort - Pondicherry

I recently stayed at Lagoon Sarovar for two days, and it was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. For the price they charge, the standards here are shockingly low. 1. The place is advertised as clean and well-maintained, but the reality is completely different. The floors were sticky and dusty, the room reeked of damp, stagnant air, and the smell from the lotus pond wafted right into the room. To top it off, the AC was leaking, and we even got locked in because the door jammed. 2. The first day, there wasn’t even any hot water available. 3. The location is incredibly remote, and the resort’s transportation options are outrageously overpriced. 4. I paid around 30,000 rupees for just two days, but that doesn’t even cover half of their activities. It’s ridiculous. 5. The pool was filled with insects—sure, it’s near nature, but if there are that many bugs, the pool should be cleaned regularly. 6. The breakfast was subpar, to put it mildly, and the prices for lunch were absurd. To make matters worse, the tea served at breakfast had the thickest layer of malai on top. The least you could do is strain the chai before serving it. 7. They charge 1200 rupees for a 15-20 minute paddle boat ride for three people. Why even nickel-and-dime guests for that when we’re already paying such a premium? 8. There were no basic amenities like conditioner or face wash provided. Even budget hotels like OYO include these essentials, so how can a so-called luxury resort at this price point not provide them? This hotel desperately needs a complete overhaul. I’ve stayed at Marriott and Four Seasons properties before, and even at a fraction of the price, the experience was vastly superior. If you’re going to charge these kinds of rates, the least you could do is provide a level of comfort and luxury that justifies the price.

Me & my wife had a perfect 2 day stay at this beautiful resort. The lush gardens, clean pools, and serene backwaters created the perfect atmosphere to relax. Paradise beach is just 7 min drive away with ample car parking and awesome water sports. Staffs are very helpful, rooms are clean and big enough. I stayed in Deluxe room, the only thing that I thought was missing is a openable window for ventilation. Definitely a recommended one, if you are looking to relax in Pondicherry!!!

This resort is truly beautiful! lush gardens, sparkling pools, a pristine lake. The staff were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable. I highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable getaway. Also the food was very good and there were many options available.

The resort experience was delightful from start to finish, characterized by exceptional cleanliness and a warm, inviting atmosphere that fostered a sense of peace and joy. The food stood out as a highlight, featuring excellent flavors and attentive service. The rooms were thoughtfully designed for maximum comfort, incorporating traditional elements that created a homely feel. The staff were notably friendly and cheerful, enhancing the overall experience. A special mention goes to Mr. Lakshmanan for making the boat ride both exciting and enjoyable. Mr. Anbu and Mr. Thirumurugan were instrumental in ensuring a memorable stay, while Akash served meals with a genuine smile and care, respecting boundaries. Cinderella was particularly helpful, promptly resolving a payment issue. Overall, the combination of attentive service, delicious food, and a comfortable environment made for a truly wonderful getaway.

Mind relaxing resort in Pondicherry..very excellent atmosphere and environment..staffs are very patient and service oriented..one of the best resort in Pondy..our childrens are enjoyed it n boating and swimming and indoor games..need to visit again

A resort filled with greenery. The backwaters gives an added advantage to relax and enjoy the water. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. Staffs are very humble and helpful. Completely breakfast was good. Had a great time in swimming🏊 pool. All together had a great time and happy stay.
