Ulasan Barceló Maya Beach - All Inclusive

Lots to love about this resort. Cleanliness, pools, ocean.... My only complaints are.....staff service is lacking. Slow if you ever need anything from the front (me had to call multiple times to get someone to come) and the buffet. That's the big glaring issue. Food is pretty meh. I've had better at a cheaper resort. Also, the staff in there are very poor. Tables go for a long while before cleaned, everything just seems like they would rather be elsewhere.

This property was great! we went with a family of 3 (8 year old daughter). There was so much to do. Tons of food options. The ala carte were great but tough to get into. book as soon as you arrive. The pools and kids water park were fantastic. never to busy and able to find seats. Got the premium package and was well worth it for the room alone. Beach was beautiful. and the staff was all friendly and helpful. And good entertainment nightly with a choice between 2 shows. can’t wait to go back

We had a group of 10 of us , 5 different rooms , 4 of them got upgraded from the Maya beach to the Rivera. We had paid for the premium package so we did not get moved , the Barcelo group made it work and were able to move us over to the same hotel with all of the original upgrades . Thank you to the Hotel manager at Barcelo beach “Edwin” and the check in lady Adrisa at The Rivera who made everything happen… the resort is beautiful, pretty good food . Amazing staff … we are only half way thru the trip but have had an amazing time already …. Truly the staff and the service is why we always come back

Absolutely loved this resort. The ocean was beautiful and we got upgraded to Barceló maya riviera

Overall great location and family friendly. They could definitely work on improving the food quality especially at the buffets.

Great property, wonderful beach, pools, but their food is barely edible. We all agreed that if the food was better this place could be a gem

So far it is a great resort, we really enjoyed it. Only open point I have is that the room is kind an old, there was no air ventilation, so the humidity from shower is coming inside the room. Secondly, we couldn’t control the air condition, so most of the time it was cold, and you needed to turn it off completely. Thank you

We traveled as a group of 31 people (7 families) just after Christmas 2023. We had all booked to stay at the Beach section of the resort but when we arrived were told they could not accommodate all of us in that section. 2 families had to go and stay in different areas of the resort which was very frustrating as when we booked we added a note we were all travelling together. Staff were not overly helpful with the situation. A couple families had Premier Rooms which was easy and quick service so I would recommend upgrading to this. Food in buffet was plentiful but cold most of the time. Grill restaurant by the pools was much better. The Steak restaurant had great staff and yummy food. The japanese restaurant in the Mall was great, highly recommend. The wifi is a little spotty around the resort. We used Canada Transfers to get us to and from the hotel which was great.

The regular lobby staff were much nicer and better than premium level staff.

Everything is overbooked: when we got to the Maya Beach resort we were told we were moved to a different resort on their property even though we had booked and confirmed rooms months earlier. Check in took over 2 hours by the time we sorted it out. We were moved to another resort on property, Maya Caribe which wasn’t too far away but was not what we booked. No upgrades or compensation was given. The check in staff at Maya Beach was very unhelpful during this whole ordeal although other resort staff were very friendly. We also could not book any reservations in any restaurants during our stay and had to eat at the buffet for our meals. The buffet food was very bland and all started tasting the same. The pools are very nice and the beaches and snorkelling were good. We also enjoyed the fitness centre. I would not book here again however.

Very poor customer service, very limited choices for restaurants as the ones we wanted were booked fully and we were not made aware of the reservations process. For such a beautiful resort, the service was not present.. if you just want to go to a buffet place and not get any service then this place is for you. We will not be returning to Barcelo as it was very disappointing..

Property was amazing and safe, everything was simple and easy to find, food was good, staff was friendly. Our family will definitely be returning.

Barcelo Myia Rivera is beautiful and well looked after with amazing food

Too much walking, some staff at dinner with reservation were rude, Property was clean and well maintened, will not be returning.
