Dear Hotel Management, I am very disappointed with my recent stay at your hotel. I booked my reservation back in February and made four requests for a room on the top floor with an ocean view. I even sent reminders a week before and on the day of our arrival, as this trip was a special gift for my mother. During a past stay, I was told that booking directly on your website allows for specific room requests. However, when we arrived, we were given a room facing another hotel and directly above a motor pump that makes noise 24/7. The noise was so loud that I couldn’t sleep all night, leaving me frustrated and upset. The next day, I asked to change rooms and was told I could have a room facing the inner courtyard, but only if I paid 120 euros in cash directly to the front desk staff. No receipt was given, and only after I reminded them did I receive a handwritten note. I asked if I could wait a few days for a room with the view I originally requested, but was told this wasn’t possible. I felt I had no choice but to pay, and ended up in a worse room on a lower floor. I feel cheated and disappointed, as my request was ignored and I lost money unfairly. Additionally, although the hotel claims to be non-smoking, there was constant smoking, and our room smelled like cigarette smoke late into the night. This experience has changed my opinion of your hotel. What was once a place I loved, I now cannot see myself returning to. Sincerely, Svetlana Jensen
