Brilliant location, lovely and clean and the staff are lovely. Pool is big, lovely snack bar. Great hotel at a bargain price, will definitely be back

Room was clean but bath was extremely stained and looked like a bath mat had been left to rot and disintegrate not a good look. Our room was always in the shade no sunshine what so ever. The towel and sunbeds situation is a joke we are early risers and not once did we get a sunbed on the sunny side of the pool and this was low season. There is definitely not enough beds for the amount of appartments. The hotel needs to be stricter with towels on the beds as a lot were not even used throughout the day. On the plus side we had some lovely days on the beach not what we planned but the beach is lolvey. The only downside is we planned to spend more time in the hotel as we have walking difficulties and knew we were up a hill the hill is not quite cardiac hill but it's on par if you have health problems. The reception were freindly and helpful and could not fault the reception. Although having a tv is not priority on holiday we did pay a returnable deposit for the tv and was impressed itv bbc and we could sign into the likes of Netflix ect with a excellent connection, the WiFi in the room was very good. Not sure I would book this hotel again.

I’ll start with the positives - lovely pool area. Some guests put their towels down either the night before or super early in the morning which is unnecessary since there are plenty of sun beds. They are budget apartments which is reflected in the price. We dont mind that they are old and tired but they don’t get cleaned every day. 4 times a week cleaning which isnt enough with two small kids. We expected staff to be v friendly from the reviews but that wasnt our experience. 2 receptionists were pretty rude. Overall, we wont be back but it’s ok for a very budget holiday.

I had an amazing stay at the plaza azul I came from the 27th December to the 3rd January and it was amazing X5 the room were lovely walk in shower was great we stayed in apartments A8 and the sofa bed was very comfy. Only thing would say sunbed were a bit uncomfortable but you can rent sunbed mattress for 5 euros for the week which isn’t bad. The best part of the holiday was the pool bar and the hotel bar Rose and her husband were amazing so friendly and welcoming if your going for a walk you should definitely pop into the bar you wouldn’t meet people more friendly than them. Will definitely be returning

Plaza Azul is a great place to stay, rooms are a little dated but comfy & clean ..... reception staff are lovely and helpful, facilities are good, pool is lovely, pool bar is great & you get great service..... the lobby bar is perfect, Rose & her husband are very lovely hosts, they cater for all staying there. They made us feel very welcome, for that we thank you. PDC is as bustling as ever, great weather all our stay..... we would highly recommend a stay here & will be returning ourselves again soon.

Don’t be put off by the reviews, I read the reviews and was abit unsure at first. We stayed here for 10 nights and over all its a lovely hotel basis for what you pay for but rooms get cleaned every couple of days clean towels if needed little snack bar friendly bar man 2 pints for 5 euros nice food. There’s a bar in the reception area with big TVs so you can watch the football pool table and also arcade areas for the kids to play. You can hire a fan for 25 euros but 10 euros is a deposit but you get that back definitely a must. Shops are located just outside the apartment, 5 minute walk down to the main ***** becomes a killer for your legs as the days go on walking back up but good exercise. You can get a taxi to the main shops where there a McDonalds and Burger King near by and it only cost about 4 euros. Would definitely come back again.
