Good location ! bang on where all the shops is , clean , receptionist is very friendly and helpful ,will defo back again and will stay the same Hotel

Would have been really nice if I stopped there but got cancelled last minute and left without a hotel. Had to sleep on a bench that night. Now sleep on a couch at someone’s apartment. Not a nice experience at my age being of 74 with not knowing what to do or where to turn. Still traumatised by the whole experience

Fantastic. Just left after 2 fabulous weeks at la penita. Amazing value for money. The rooms are spotlessly clean with maid service every 2 days. The pool was always pristine and cleaned every morning. Friendly staff and a brilliant pool bar serving cheap drinks and food. We loved every minute of our stay and hope to return soon. Would definitely recommend!!

We have just arrived home after a lovely 13 night stay in La Penita! We arrived to the apartments at 11.30pm on the 22nd June, reception closed at 10pm but thankfully someone was there to let us into our apartment. Our apartment was huge, plenty of storage space, the bedroom had a ceiling fan which was a godsend and our 13 year old son had a couch bed in the sitting room which was very comfortable. The apartment also came with a stand alone fan in the sitting room which really helped our son to sleep! We had a side view apartment which had a beautiful view of the sea. Plenty of sunbeds although you had to be out early to get your towel down on them. Pool was lovely although if I could make one suggestion, the last step into the pool was impossible to see, and so many people tripped getting in and out so it would be advisable perhaps if this step could be marked so people don't hurt themselves! Fab pool bar, food so nice and drinks so cheap! Also cleaners came to apartments about 3 times a week, so efficient! We have been to Lanzarote so many times but our first in La Penita and it definitely won't be the last, we're already talking about booking for next year fingers crossed. Would highly recommend staying here!

We arrived at the apartments at around 1am and was greeted by a lady at the gate who promptly got us our key for our room. Rooms are spacious and clean. I’ve seen others mention the lack of air-con. But I honestly don’t think the apartments need it. Once you have the fan in the living room on and the ceiling fan in the bedroom, it’s sufficient enough to keep the rooms cool. We had paid extra for sea view and was a little disappointed to find our room backed onto a street with a partial sea view in between the restaurants. Cleaners did a good job of keeping our apartment clean and bedding/ towels were changed every two days. The grounds, pool area was kept clean and tidy. The bar staff are an absolute credit to this hotel. They were so warm and friendly. The food and drinks at the snack bar was reasonable priced and good. One of the greatest experiences we had was feeding the little parakeets who visited our balcony most evenings. I have to say this was the highlight of our holiday. The location of this hotel is spot on. You are literally on the door stop of plenty of bars and restaurants. Two very slight negatives that I noticed with this hotel. The beds were massively uncomfortable. It was like sleeping on a bench and we got very little sleep because of it whilst we were there. Probably the most uncomfortable beds I’ve had to sleep on whilst away. I also noticed and complained about people reserving loungers. Not only that, but a few selfish people were doubling up their loungers and nothing was done about it. I complained twice on one occasion. A guy did help find me a lounger. However, nothing was done about those reserving or doubling up on loungers. In all honesty, this hotel exceeded my expectations and I would recommend it to anyone who’s considering staying here.

Second visit for us ,great place, booking was made direct with an owner of an appartment on the complex. Excellent Bar/ cafe team in the pool bar, very hard working yet still very friendly and hospitable. Conveniant for the ***** (about 1min walk) yet no excesive noise. Well kept and clean grounds and comunal facilities. We recommended this place to my daughter and family and they had a brilliant time. I would highly recomend this complex.

We booked this based on people's reviews past and present. We booked a side seaview but had a ground floor end terrace. We didn't mind as it was shaded from the heat. Rooms were spacious but not air conditioned, just a ceiling fan in bedroom and small fan in kitchenette. One great advantage was the pool staff had the unaccompanied towel situation controlled; if you were not in the pool your towel was removed after 30 mins and put on a table next to the toilets. Food at the bar was good and the staff were great.

1st time in Puerto Del Carmen, and highly recommend the area and the La Penita apartments. We arrived around 9pm and were greeted by Mavis in reception who was so friendly and helpful. Ideal location, one street back from the main street with all shops, bars, restaurants well within walking distance. no questions however with noise being an issue at night. Rooms have all you would need and are cleaned regularly, all rooms have their own wifi which was free but good quality. safe is an additional cost on check in but very reasonable. Pool is a great size and plenty of sunbeds though we did find you had to be down early enough to get beds. Pool bar is excellent, staff friendly and food and drink at a great price. they also show sports on the big screens and have bingo days etc. Our room was on the to floor with a great view of the pool and out across the sea, and we also had the regular visitors of the local parakeets. if i had to have one complaint, we had family staying in a nearby apartment which had air con throughout. there is a stand alone fan in the living area and then a ceiling fan in the bedroom, which, although do help are of course not as cooling as the aircon. Won't hesitate to return again though, and sooner rather than later
