A charming, small hotel in a beautiful and unique, historic location in Mdina at the centre of the island. The staff were lovely and helpful. Our room had a great sized bedroom, leading to a bathroom suite. There was a staircase leading to a mezzanine level with sofa, and a balcony with a hot tub where we enjoyed spectacular views of the island. The doorway to the balcony was low but not a problem. The breakfast was plentiful with pristine linens and friendly staff. The trattoria restaurant was closed during our visit and we did not dine at the Michelin starred restaurant (except for breakfast). There are some highly ranked restaurants in nearby Rabat, just a short walk away, which we enjoyed visiting very much. Overall, this is a classy and quiet hotel and we felt pleased that we decided to stay. Valletta and other coastal spots are easily reachable by bus or taxi (Uber /Bolt operate too).

Room cleanliness is impeccable.Food is amazing and regards my dietary needs,gluten,lactose and egg free food was available.Staff is very friendly and professional.And a big thanks to the amazing chef.Definately recommend this hotel and all their facilities.

We booked a room with 2 beds and the Maltese balcony, for 10 nights - it was a WONDERFUL experience - even before we arrived, I had very friendly email contact with Marisa - checking details for my friend who is a bit disabled. Altogether, the room was a delight - beautifully appointed yet very historic, in the golden stonework of the Medina area. The view was wonderful, of the countryside at sunrise and through the day, and peeking down on diners on the terraces below in the evenings! The breakfasts were so generous we skipped lunch! We were blessed with hot weather so the aircon and the shower room were a real plus. But overall, the attentive and friendly staff made our stay unforgettable. Thank you to everyone. Truly felt like a family experience! Loved the local vibe of the front terrace - 'PDV' is well-known and appreciated locally! A treasure.

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Bora Bora Hotel during festival, and I must say it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff (Gil is welcoming and friendly) went above and beyond to ensure my stay was memorable. Not only did they swiftly address an issue I had, but they also graciously upgraded my room! I will surely be back.

Starting with the information - we stayed at So City as a young couple (who arent particularly into nightclubs/bars) to see Matla for the first time over a week. I have given this a 'benefit-of-the-doubt' rating due to the hotel being incredibly new. We picked So City Hotel because of the value, it was incredibly well priced. I'd imagine this is a strategy due to it being so new but it was certainly well worth the price we paid. On to the hotel as a whole - I feel this is definitely aimed toward capturing people coming to Malta for some night life. Its positioned so that no more than 10 seconds from leaving the lobby, you can be in a bar, and their are some nice bars surrounding. That said, we werent there for that - but this location also meant that finding an evening meal, or a quick early night drink was incredibly easy. Exploring the island was also very easy from here, Valletta was a very short journey, and as we had opted to rent a car, there was a carpark about 5 minutes walk away (Pengardens) which is reasonably priced for over night parking, and we never struggled for a space. The room was very comfortable, and the mattress was perfect and bedding very soft and comfortable. Our upgraded room was also incredibly spacious. The theming is a nice touch and makes the room a bit more characterful and individual. Staying on the 7th floor, there was minimal noise at night, altough id be concerned if we needed to keep the window open.... The black out curtains were also amazing for keep the room dark for a little bit of extra sleep. Constructive criticism for the room would be: The shower tempurture is difficult - the hottest setting is insanely hot (my other half loves hot showers but this was too much for her also) and it wouldnt go cold, just cooler, it also seemed to get colder through out the shower and you found yourself adjusting. There is not a lot of storage at all for longer stays. This is perhaps a by product of it feeling aimed towards 'nightlifers' who might stop 3 nights or so. I would perhaps ask reception for additional hangers if you have plenty of clothes for a longer stay. The mini fridge, altough useful, is not big enough to put larger water bottles in, which can be annoying. The aircon unit is situated in a place which means it blows directly at the bed. I tried to play with the control but there was no way to adjust it that I could find. Im trying to cool the room, not refridgerate myself. The timer on the aircon also didnt seem to work, so setting it the blow for 30 mins whilst i went to sleep just didnt seem to work. The TV is not a full smartTV which is a shame. Just channels and an internet browser, which are never nice to navigate around.... On to other notes: Breakfast is just what you need. Its not an all out buffett where there is everything you could dream of, but there is more than enough and a few items cycle so you can expect a slightly different breakfast each morning. Everything was excellent. Fantastic place. Very kind staff and helpful. Food was excellent and plenty of choices. We celebrated our birthdays so the receptionist surprised us with extra upgrades. Special thanks to Henrik and the whole team of Ben's. Highly recommended the place and the atmosphere as well.

Mooi en modern hotel. Mooie en goede locatie vlak aan de promenade. Enig minpuntjes waren: - slecht poetsen van de kamer - restaurant voor ontbijt te klein voor het aantal mensen die kwamen ontbijten en te weinig personeel en te weinig variatie in het ontbijt

Decided to book here for a night because of nearby construction work near our holiday rental. The hotel is a little unassuming from the outside, but inside it was evident that the hotel has gone through some redevelopment from previous years as reception and the lobby was small but very modern. The receptionist was friendly and even show us to our room. We were based on the first floor on a basement level room with a double bed. However considering the fact that things were last minute,we didn’t complain too much and we got a decent night sleep . The room was clean and fairly stylish and air con worked properly too. Only downside was no coffee making facilities in room. However, coffee and water was free in the lobby all day, alongside free biscuits. The inside pool is small, but styled well into the bottom of the cave cellar and perfect for a dip. We would have booked a slot in the jacuzzi if we had more time. The breakfast was pretty simple buffet continental, but still offered hot options and cold as well as juice and coffee. Overall, a fairly good experience both with atmosphere and service.
