Petradi Beach Lounge Hotel

Be mindful about very busy and noisy street that the hotel is located on.

This was the perfect hotel for us, small, intimate and quiet. we had our very own beach with the menu served to us on our loungers whilst we sunbathed. The hotel was freshly refurbished and very contemporary, with lots of character. We were less the a mile from the old town of Rethymon, with it's narrow streets and many eateries and family ran shops. I would highly recommend, both the hotel and the old town which were remarkable in their character and historic landmarks.

. The room was a nice size with a very comfortable large bed. It was serviced every day (bar Sunday) and was very clean. The shower is lovely but the temperature did fluctuate wildly. You would need to be careful with children as the hot water is scalding. There is very little storage space for clothes and personal items resulting in the room often looking messy and resulting in living out of your suitcase. For a 2 week stint that was not enjoyable. The rooms desperately need some sort of shelving and storage system We chose to pay extra for a sea view. We were so glad we did as the road is very busy and extremely noisy. Rooms on the roadside would struggle with noise pollution. There are lots of different areas for people to sit and relax in the sunshine by the beach and by the pool. The areas are all serviced by a poolside bar. The staff worked very hard keeping everywhere clean and tidy. Food wise there was a limited menu which is only available till 4pm (the bar is open until late). On the whole, the staff were very efficient and mostly pleasant. However, the manager was very un- welcoming, unfriendly, unapproachable and came across as being rude. He never once engaged in any conversation or even pleasantries throughout a 2 week stay. One of my main concerns regarding this hotel is the lack of accommodation for mobility issues, meaning my safety was often at risk. There are no hand rails on most stair cases. The stairs are marble- which look lovely but are lethal (especially when wet). The 2 rails that are in place are actually too low to be useful. There is a lift but some of the stairs are unavoidable. I have slight mobility issues and have struggled, but people with more severe mobility issues would not be able to function in this hotel. The access to the pool was very difficult- able bodied- younger people struggled too. I scraped the skin on both legs on my 1st and only attempt to access it. Due to the broken skin I avoided the sea/ pool to avoid infections. We never had a good coffee in the hotel , too cold, too strong , not strong enough ! We were told off by bar staff for daring to bring a take away coffee into the pool area. However, plenty of people were allowed to smoke in this same area. Which we would deem as more of an issue than a take away coffee. In spite of all of this we had a lovely 2 week break but sadly some of the things I enjoy to do on holiday like swim in the pool were not possible for me at this hotel. Sadly we wouldn’t return or recommend to anyone with any slight mobility issue

For the price paid this hotel was excellent. Air con excellent, stayed in three hotels on this holiday and I had the best sleep here. Lovey lady on reception, sea view, little bar by pool. Breakfast was included, this wasn’t great but for the price can’t complain. Walkable to centre, although not in the best area, quite commercial on the busy main road.

We had a wonderfull experience here. The staff is so friendly and helpful, only positive vibes☺️ rooms very cosy, neat, the view is very nice. We really enjoyed staying here. The best regards to the staff who works here. ☺️

We arrived a little late 1.15am in the morning due to delayed flight, night reception was their to show us to our room we had a sea view apartment which was lovely couldn't fault the view so relaxing, breakfast is basic but something for everyone, would be nice of they had tea/coffee facilities in the rooms but I like the style of the rooms very Boho with the wood, otherwise we had a really nice stay we ate out a lot but restaurants nearby are really good really good, we went into the old town and it was also nice, staff where really helpful and we had a great time

Immediately fell in love with Costantina who checked us in. So friendly & welcoming. Allowed us to check in early with a smile & a wink knowing exactly where she was sending us. The room! The view! The breakfast! The location! Loved it all. I don’t know that words can even express how elated we were upon arrival. EVERYTHING & EVERYONE, including the hotel manager, who made the time to come & say hi, were FANTASTIC. Can’t wait to go back.

We were welcomed by the loveliest host, Costantina, who told us all we needed to know and showed us to our room. It was magnificent! The view from our room was breathtaking. The property, the staff & location were perfect. Couldn’t ask for more.

We were a bit hesitant before coming here because of all the conflicting reviews, but it turned put to be one of the best vacations ever :) What was I looking for: - not a super fancy, expensive hotel as we wanted to go out and eat at various different restaurants - Check - direct access to the sea - Check - decent size pool and pool bar - Check - clean rooms and surroundings - Check - intimate vibe, boutique hotel, nice staff - Check Some useful points: - the breakfast is kind of basic BUT you will find things to eat every morning - the beach area is narrow and not really clean / maintained and the entrance a little rocky BUT once you get past the rocks it’s lovely, sandy and water is very clean - the rooms are small, it’s true we lived from the suitcase (but we are used to it :D) BUT we were still comfortable (AC works great, bed is very comfy, there are plenty of hangers, shower was good) It’s my 4th time in Crete and I’ve stayed at fancier hotels but to be honest I cannot say I wouldn’t consider coming back here, we felt great and had everything you can possibly want from a holiday. Places where we ate nearby (all good) Cavo - the absolute best in terms of food and vibe. Make sure to make a reservation as it gets full in the evening. It’s a 5-7 minutes walk for the hotel. Tanepa - huge portions, tasty food, located 3-5 minutes from Petradi Prima Plora - nice here as well, 5 min from the hotel We found these places much nicer than the restaurants in Rethymno, the food is better. It’s a big plus the hotel is located next to these :) So overall, we recommend Petradi 👍
