Minos Hotel

Great location and very good breakfast with a wide range of choices.

What an amazing hotel. Just left the hotel with the same emotions Emotions of sadness and fulfillment. Sadness cause I had the best time on a very friendly place with people that the are doing the best to provide high quality of services. Fulfillment cause I had a relaxing holidays. Very tasteful food, very comfortable mattresses and amazing view from the sea If you ask me JUST BOOK and go. The rest leave it on them...

A lovely hotel, with friendly staff, however we were put in this dingy stuffy room above some of the noisiest Irish people I’d ever met, then got upgraded to a beautiful instagram worthy air conditioned room in the newer block, bar staff are amazing and made our stay enjoyable, pool is too small for the amount of visitors but sunbeds are comfy, entertainment staff should change their title! No entertain g done at all! Water fit done every other day, no buzz, just a woman standing at the side of pool doing stretching exercises, then bringing out water polo goals to leave at the side, and evening entertainment is mainly karaoke or bingo! Kids club not really advertised and usually only 1-2 kids in there at best, but hotel is very close to the beach and main *****, 10 minutes walk to old town, take advantage of the massage service the staff are great.

From arriving to a welcome drink to checking out we had a fantastic stay at the Minos. I requested a room overlooking the pool and that was exactly what we had, the room was very clean and comfortable with a fridge, tea/coffee, kettle and a welcome pack of fruit and a small bottle of wine. We were bed and breakfast and that was also perfect catering for English with bacon and fried egg as well as full continental. The pool area was lovely with an additional pirate pool for children. Location wise was also perfect just down the street opposite to the seafront. All in all we would most certainly return!

I stayed at the Minos for a few days last month (October 2023). The room wasn't quite as spacious as some of those in the photos here but was fine for me as a solo guest. There was a TV (which I didn't use at all), a fridge, a double bed, a table and comfortable chair next to the bed, a balcony with a small table and two chairs, plenty wardrobe space, constant hot water for the shower. The room was cleaned every day and the staff were all very helpful. I also had the buffet breakfast every day - plenty of variety to choose from including bacon and fried eggs. That set me up nicely for the day. There is a small supermarket right next door to the hotel and an excellent coffee & pastry cafe about 100 metres further along the same side of the road. The bus stop for services into town is opposite. If you are using the bus buy a ticket from the supermarket before you get on the bus. The first time I tried to use the bus I didn't know this! Rethymnon beach is about 150 metres from the hotel. It took me about 35 minutes to stroll along the beach road to the old town harbour - but I am a slow walker these days.

Clean room, clean spa area and very good food. We arrived late in the evening just before midnight, but the waiter could offer us a cold but welltasting dinner. The hotel is only 150 meters from the beautiful beach and just next to the hotel there is a good supermarket for your daily needs.

We stayed at this hotel for 10 days from mid October. The hotel is lovely , the rooms are made up daily with fresh towels. The hotel is very clean. The food was okay plenty of choice,you can always find something to eat. The location of this hotel is fab, close to the beach, bars and restaurants. I suffer with chronic pain in my legs and back and struggle with mobility The hotel staff were amazing , nothing was too much trouble and we really felt really looked after. Konstantina is so lovely and an absolute credit to this hotel she did everything she could to make our stay wonderful. The barman and bar lady also were so lovely and we were made to feel so welcome.(sorry we didn't get their names) We would go back to this hotel in a heartbeat thankyou so much to everyone of the team at minos for being so kind and understanding you made our holiday x

This was our second visit to the hotel this year. We were there at the end of June beginning of July for two weeks. We had a wonderful time and cannot recommend this hotel and its staff enough. Special thanks to Nikos, Andreas and Almalia who looked after us for two weeks and when we went in October.

Our first impressions of the hotel were very good we didn't arrive till 11.45pm after a very long drive from airport. The night receptionist couldn't have been nicer he showed us into the dining room we were served a cold meat and cheese plate bread apples and water much appreciated, the porter then took us to our room, which seemed a little on the small side. Next morning it became clear that we had no view we looked directly at the side of the main building but what was more obvious was the very loud and constant road noise, thank goodness for the double-glazed doors and air-conditioning. The decor in the hotel was very nice clean and didn't look tired at all except the cushions on sunbeds but it was October. Most of the staff were very pleasant with the exception of a waitress in dining room told us off for not ordering our wine and water at the same time ( well excuse me) a barman that seemed to be annoyed you had bothered him and asked for a drink, and lastly a less than helpful receptionist. I made a complaint about being kept awake till gone 2am by noisy people next-door she refused to move us just told me to come back in the morning I didn't as it wasn't bad again until the penultimate night and thought if she wouldn't move us before it was less likely to just for one night. The food was ok always found something to eat lunch menu didn't change all week plenty of salad that was not covered so less appealing after the flies had wandered over it Dinner was better but never very hot same for breakfast what I did like was always good choice of fruit So if you are going, I would highly recommend taking ear plugs. Would recommend the hop on hop off bus tour fabulous views we did it in the morning back to hotel for lunch then went again in the afternoon great day out don't forget your camera
