Tui Magic Life Plimmiri by Atlantica

Plimmiri is a great place to visit for families. Lots of activities for everybody both in regards to sport but also other activities. The service from staff is AMAZING they get 5 stars. The gym needs some thourough cleaning. The coffee shops needs more opening hours.

This is the first time we have tried a tui magic life holiday instead of a tui blue. I wish we hadn’t! In comparison, there is far less entertainment for the kids and they were bored at times. There are still activities to do but not as many and the entertainment team a lot less visible. Lots of sports available though so would maybe suit older children better. The majority of guests were German speaking so this affected our kids ability to chat and make friends at pool/kids club. The resort is beautiful. Clean, well looked after, lots of space around pools etc. The beach is lovely! For a five star hotel the food was really disappointing. Less choice than my previous 4 and 5 star atlantica stays. On the themed nights the food didn’t seem to be any different. Our kids ended up choosing pizza and chips nearly every night when normally there would be lots more option for them. There were always queues outside to get in for dinner and the staff were not always friendly. One night they tried to send us away because our children were wearing crocs! Very isolated location so no option of leaving hotel for a walk around. It’s really windy.

I have mixed feelings because we did have a nice holiday but at the same time I do not believe this is a 5 star hotel and there were more negatives to say than good. Good stuff - food in buffet delicious. Good selection of drinks. Loved the bakery cafe, lady in there very friendly. Pools themselves kept well and clean. Housekeeping very friendly, cleaned daily and our room was spotless. Staff in the rooftop only bar amazing, this was my favourite area. Reception staff brilliant and also great car hire service. Not so good stuff - Barely there table service (we only got it once) and the bars are actually a bit of a walk sometimes to get a drink, my mum has mobility issues and struggled with this. Loads of dirty cups all around the pool just laying around. Food in the "specialty restaurants" is less to be desired, in fact the main meal in the Greek taverna restaurant was disgusting and ended up being fed to the local stray cat. The mini fridge doesn't get refilled in the room and you have to phone and ask for water, which then takes hours to come. Pretty bad considering it was 36 degrees and you can't drink the tap water. The hotel massively caters to Germans, and some of the staff are quite rude and shout "can't speak English" in your face and serve you with a face like thunder. So yes. A mixed review. Do I think it's 5 star? No. Would I stay here again?... Probably not.

Honest and informative review with pros and cons. Pros ..... -The hotel itself is large, but really well set out, it never felt busy, or rushed. -Accommodation is set further away from the entertainment, which is good if you have small kids that go to bed earlier, or if you don't want to hear the music and other guests etc. - the whole hotel was so clean, and staff onsite constantly keeping it uptogether. - really good family pool with lots of space, good sized shallow end and the deep end not too deep that kids can't manage it. Also lots of sunbeds nicely spaced out with bamboo umbrellas for shade. - further pool which offered daily activities and music being played, for those perhaps who didn't have kids, or had older kids - good sized water slides which are lifeguarded the whole time. - there is food available CONSTANTLY, they open a deli in the main bar in the evenings which sell cakes and sandwiches if you get peckish. - beautiful views of the sea and mountains. - staff really friendly and attentive and great with children. - really good variety of food and drinks - rooms spacious, and didn't seem to be too affected by much noise from others. - we could have been lucky with our week but there was never a panic for sunbeds, you could go to the pools at any time of the day and would be able to get loungers. - family beach party one evening which was brilliant. Cons... -Long transfer from the airport (2.5 hours with the TUI transfer, we paid for a private transfer which was 1 hour 20 mins. -You are isolated, so if you want to explore rhodes you would need to hire a car or this hotel will not be for u. - the speciality restaurant has a set menu (it advertises as 6 countries/ cuisines) which it is, but each course is a different cuisine, we thought they would do cuisine themes each night. it's not child friendly (food wise) Although they did offer chips and nuggets to the kids. - if you book here to enjoy the water sports...most of the activaties, the children had to be 16+, this doesn't seem to be advertised until you are there. - kids club is only for 30 minute sessions and gets quite booked up. - as it is a large site, there can be alot of walking to and from dofferent areas of the resort (bear in mind if you have mobility issues) -the airport in rhodes was chaos. Long waits with very limited seating and lacked organisation. - the entertainment wasn't great. The entertainers themselves were fab, but it was all pretty much the same most nights... dancing and singing. It felt like they have thought of everything to try and accommodate for people. We really enjoyed our stay. We would recommend the hotel 100% and would return Although nervous about the airport for future visits. Highly recommend the glass bottom boat excursion. The staff were great and was a nice affordable way to get off resort for a few hours. There are lots of wild cats at the resort, but they were lovely and so friendly.

Currently on day 4 at this hotel, here’s the pros: Beautifully clean Friendly staff Really lovely rooms 24hr snack bar that serves alcohol also. Cons: The food is very mediocre very repetitive I wouldn’t say 5* quality. The hotel is so big it takes a looooong time to walk everywhere in the heat so don’t forget your shades because you won’t wanna walk back to your room. We were told it’s popular with German people which wasn’t a problem to me until I realised it’s not just popular with them, EVERYTHING is German, Kids entertainment is 90% German, TV all German and 95% German guests which is fine until you want a English conversation and can’t find any. Our kids can’t even make friends. Over two hour transfer to hotel from airport.

Due to personal circumstances we only booked this holiday 24 hours before we were meant to fly and my goodness are we glad we did! This hotel was truly amazing. We booked a suite but they did say they upgraded us to a bigger one, they weren't wrong, the suite was huge, clean and decorated well. One of the doors came off the hinges very randomly and the maintenance team was very prompt in fixing this for us. The food was delicious, huge variety changing every night, never cold and the staff are constantly replenishing. The pools were brilliant, we did visit the activity pool once however opted for splash park visits and our childrens favourite was the relaxing pool. No matter what time of day we arrived at the pool, always sunbeds available. I would like to say too, Costa, I believe his name is, was the lifeguard on the slides constantly cheering my daughter when she was confident to go on the big ones alone. The entertainment was a little...OKish... same children's disco each night and then something for the adults, lovely but definitely not wow. The fireworks was a lovely surprise, never seen a hotel provide this kind of show. The Magician was definitely our favourite, cattered to all ages, it was hilarious and very magical. The hotel is very out of the way so we paid to hire a car to visit Rhodes old town at 48€ for a full day, you need to supply your original driving licence on collection. The watersports facilities on the beach were brilliant too, we hired a boat for 1 hour at 80€ and that was a lovely experience for us newbies. Due to lengthy transfer times we did a private transfer and very glad we did. A lot of reviews talk about the majority of guests are German and they are right, however all staff are very friendly and speak beautiful English and not once did we feel we were at a disadvantage for not speaking German. Young children are encouraged to go into kids club as the activities are mainly aimed at teens or adults, however if your children are like ours and didn't want to go then there are plenty of opportunities for them to make friends by the relaxing pool.

As honest a review as you will get, writing this review on the transfer back to the airport Visited as a family of 4 2 adults and 2 boys aged 6 & 8 Pros • Clean hotel and surroundings • Food is good however never tried the speciality restaurants •Really friendly staff, they will take you and your luggage to your room and back again on golf buggys •the beach is a must visit we took the jet skis out 3 times (€55 for 20 mins) Rooms really spacious • Entertainment team do a great job • Late check out to 3pm was no problem Cons • It is definitely not 5 star I would say between 3/4 star • Really secluded location (knew this before we booked) expect a 2.5 hour journey there and the same coming back if your on a tui transfer • Electric went out on 2nd night from 1am to 7am (also heard 3 different people at reception that it also happened to) • You will be hit for a €10 per night tax when checking in • Limited selection of food for kids All in all had an enjoyable weeks stay here with absolutely scorching hot weather, We would not return to this hotel as we would like to try somewhere a bit closer to Rhodes the next time we come

This is not a 5 star hotel. Have stayed at 2 other magic life hotels before and they were brilliant. The hotel is so far out from anything you want to do it takes a good couple of hours to get anywhere. The food was luke warm best meal was breakfast make sure you have eggs from chef as they are cooked fresh. Was disappointed with entertainment even though the animation team tried. It’s small things they need to improve on. Slippers, bath robes free stock up in fridge. Cleaning round 2nd pool, washing the sun beds and shower area was never done. Staff friendly and helpful and Tui rep Lolita was brill as was the young lady who worked in the adult only part of the restaurant. Rhodes is a beautiful island but would not stay here again.

This hotel is ok, however it certainly isn’t a 5 star, probably 3 at the most. There are lots of beautiful 5 star resorts in Rhodes that have the wow factor. This hotel fails to do this. Food is very much the same every day. Do not go to the speciality restaurants they are terrible. The Greek being the worst, served warm water and cold food. Ordered chicken which was served with potato bravas. It was more like greasy chicken with chopped boiled potatoes certainly not potato bravas (see photo) Room was very dated and cleaned to a bare minimum. We had an army of ants outside the door and reported to reception 3 times, they did nothing. It was only when we went the 4th time to say the ants are coming into the room that they decided to do something. The bedding wasn’t changed at all in our stay even though we asked on several occasions. Pools were nice, sunbeds are more comfortable at the butterfly pool near the beach. Beach is not sandy it is shingle so you will need swim shoes. Top tip you can get the public bus to Lindos from the hotel which is 3.50 each. Well worth a visit and the bus is an air conditioned coach. The hotel is in the middle of nowhere and it takes 2.5 hrs from the airport, recommend getting a taxi from the airport as it takes 1hr 40.
