Lindos Imperial Resort & Spa

Me and my husband had a week here. Staff were really nice and friendly. Spoke perfect English as well as numerous other languages. Staff were always happy. Rooms were great, we had a private swim up room. Very spacious and clean. Complex was large, not so great if you have a disability as there are many hills on the complex. Lots of pools, slides, bars, snack bars and ice cream. Food was superb, we had 3 a la carte meals as that was our quota for 7 nights. Honestly say that we have never had nicer meals. Even in the buffet restaurant food was so tasty. The only issue I had was the burgers in the burger bar was cold, but staff dealt with this instantly. Surrounding area there was not much to do walking distance although there are buses outside lobby to take you various places. Pefkos was €20 in taxi, Pefkos is a lovely part of the island. Distance from airport was long. By coach transfer time is 2-2.5 hours. We opted for private transfers we paid €140 return and took 1 hour.

This week was amazing. The Hotel, rooms, swimming pools, drinks and diners where great. Everybody was very friendly and helpful. We all loved it ! Special thanks for our always enthusiastic waiter Samir, who served us a lot of drinks in the evening .

Arrived very late, approx: 1am due to a cancelled flight. I had only slept for 3 hrs in 48 so was extremely tired. Despite the time there was a queue at reception. Waited over half an hour to be checked in by the one night staff who tells me he is just the night porter. We were put on golf buggy and taken to our room by a lovely porter. He was polite and helped with luggage. I had booked one double room for my teenager, which was fine and a family room (with sliding doors for my child & I). But were given a tiny room with one double bed in it. This was unsuitable for our needs and certainly not what i had paid a premium for. There was no phone or reception details in room & no reception in this block so the two of us had to then lug our cases back up a big hill at 1.30am in 28 degree heat to main reception. I spent a good 20 mins with the night reception man who spoke very little English arguing that this was not acceptable. He asked me many times to take the room and sort it out in the morning . I refused . He then offered me a twin room. I also refused this. I had only booked 5 nights,( one night already lost to cancelled flights) I wasn't going to waste another day fighting for the room I had paid. I don't speak a word of Greek but i deciphered that the buggy porter had persuaded the reception man to upgrade us rather than downgrade us which he very reluctantly did . He gave us a suite for the night and asked us to see reception in the morning to which I agreed. We were given what would be a one bedroom apartment which has 2 separate sleeping areas. This was much more appropriate and not far off what I had booked. Upon return to reception the next morning they very quickly told me that I can keep the suite for the duration of the stay at no extra charge. This was an amazing turnaround to the night porters attitude. As it was end of season most rooms were empty anyway. I have to say this scenario was incredibly stressful to the point I thought i was having an asthma attack. First Impressions this place is large, grand & looks impressive however on closer inspection you can see many broken tiles in and around pools. Dated /worn furniture and bathrooms need to be modernised. Even had no water one day in room without explanation. My bed was large and extremely comfortable but my boy found the sofa beds really uncomfortable & hard to sleep on. I found our rooms and the complex to be very clean and tidy. We was greeted by a loud American man at the restaurant. Although he was helpful and polite I found him over the top ( but then I am British). The restaurant was large and very busy, but to be expected. The outside seating area was really nice and we loved having the views over the pool. it was really pretty lit up at night. Waiting staff all helpful and polite. Great choices of food. Lots of variety. There was food available at all pool areas and even biscuits and lemonade in the reception. I recently spent a wonderful vacation at the Lindos Imperial, and it was an unforgettable experience. The resort itself is beautiful, with stunning views, comfortable accommodations, and a wide range of amenities to keep everyone entertained. A special shoutout goes to Johnny from the animation team. He was incredibly friendly and made our stay even more enjoyable. I had a blast playing tennis and ping-pong with him. Johnny also did a fantastic job engaging with my kids, making them laugh and ensuring they had a great time. Highly recommend this place for a fun and relaxing getaway!

First of all a big shout out to Rodoula (Lady from reception), Semis (from the main bar) and Gentleman (in late 40s from beach bar - don't remember his name), these members went above and beyond to make us feel welcome & catered to all our needs, made our holiday exceptional. It's rare to find such dedication and passion in the hospitality industry, and their commitment to excellence did not go unnoticed. Please convey our heartfelt gratitude to them. We look forward to returning and hope to see them again on our next visit. Overall the resort was everything you wanted in a relaxing holiday. The location next to its private beach was excellent. Room was very spacious and clean. The food served at the various eateries was excellent, with good service, and a great assortment of foods for dinner and breakfast. The whole experience was exactly what we needed.

Huge resort. If you have mobility issues you would need to be careful about which rooms you book. Rooms: cleaning is any time until 5pm. Just keep in mind if you want an afternoon nap/time in the room to freshen up before the evening. First two days our room wasn’t cleaned but was offered spa treatment as an apology which was great. 6 large bottles of water and coffee machine in room. There is a mozzie screen that we found on day 6! Bring mozzie plugs, plenty of spray and any other repellant you can get your hands on. Worst bites ever. Not the hotels fault, just the time of year. food: the fruit selection is one of the best I’ve seen. Prosecco available one morning at breakfast not sure why it wasn’t there any other day. Lunch is heavily focused on fish, some lovely dishes in butter / dill sauce. The al a carte restaurants are brilliant tried the Italian, grill and Chinese. You can book 2 days in advance. One of the days we tried to sit at a table for four when there was only two of us. We were asked to move to a 2 seater. We were originally in the sun with plenty of space and ended up being made to sit in the shade in a cramped area where we were so close to the people beside us I could hear the guy scrape his fork across his teeth. The table we were originally at in the sun was then occupied by two people. Infuriating. It was end of service. Place wasn’t busy. We should be able to relax in the sun in a quiet area and not be forced to sit in the shade surrounded by kids banging into our chair. Entertainment. Loved the aqua aerobics and they had some good singers in the evening who got everyone up dancing. Lack of info on what’s happening and we missed out on stuff that was happening during the day. Phani, alex and all the bar staff are exceptionally good. Bus directly opposite that goes to key places. €3 to Lindos. Highly recommend you visit. Beach is rocky. Bring beach shoes. Shop in the resort is reasonably priced and has everything you need

Almost 5 stars, yet not quite. Very very good all round, just a few things to note. The positives Effortless check in, shown to room on golf cart, nice room, nice balcony. The food in the main buffet is superb, no other word for it, all nice stuff, if you can’t find something to eat here, then there’s something wrong with you. The drinks are good quality, and Alfie, in the main bar deserves a special mention, brilliant barman, has his eye out all the time and will make you any cocktail you want within reason, he really puts the effort in and is a credit to the hotel…a superb selection of drinks available including Greek style Bailey’s which was just like the real thing. The Asian a la carte is lovely. Maid service very good apart from one day when it was our normal one day off and the room was left quite poor, but no big deal. Beach and pool areas all up together, you might think that there will be no sun beds but they have thousands of them The evening entertainment was ok, it’s standard stuff. The few negatives The hotel is in the middle of nowhere you can’t walk out anywhere there’s nowhere to go, there a bus or tourist train to the village but a few tourist shops is all there is. This hotel is BIG and if you happen to be allocated a room in the 5000s you’re going to be a long way and a big hill from the beach - def 15 maybe 20 mins walk, and 15 mins from restaurant and reception It’s no good for anyone in a wheelchair, loads of steps and hills. The fish a la carte was a waste of time….better off at the buffet. Didn’t try any others The amphitheatre where some of the entertainment is held is a horrid climb from reception and is a very miserable looking stage with no atmosphere there at all All in all though it deserves its 5 star status as a holiday hotel and I would return

Due to a last minute cancellation by jet2 holidays ( 6 hours ) before setting off to airport we ended up booking this hotel with a recommendation by the holiday company ( sunshine holidays ) the morning we were due to fly to Fuerteventura for the next day .we have had a very nice holiday and the room a superior double with sea view was perfectly situated near the beach pool and bar and beach snack bar .the hotel is very spread out on many levels so not the best for anyone with mobility issues like me to get to the activity area I had to use 2 lifts but the grandchildren had no problem and loved it .the bars are well stocked and a variety of cocktails both alcohol & non available .the lobby bar area had live music & dance acts most nights and there is also an ampi theatre with live acts .the main restaurant adjacent to the lobby bar served breakfast lunch and dinner with a good wide variety of hot and cold meals to suit all tastes ( apart from the moaners who you can never suit ) .now for the few negatives which really are not that big an issue but there are themed restaurants to dine in with a reservation being done in reception or on the hotels mobile phone app which is where the problems start as we couldn’t book the restaurant as there were 3 to our rooms (2) and it kept saying when we selected 3 people it exceeded our number of occupants so very frustrating and even when we booked at reception for 6 people with a confirmation booking and arrived at restaurant only to be told there was no booking for us .the WC facility’s left a lot to be desired as this hotel is rated 5 star and the number of times the urinals were full to the brim because didn’t flush or the flush mechanism of the toilets was broken ?not what you want at any price .So all that said we had a great time so it’s thanks to the management and staff for a great 10 nights break .

Had the best 30th birthday! Everyone was so helpful and supportive of my husband to celebrate! Beautiful hotel, room and location especially for relaxing and my son thoroughly enjoyed the slides too! Located with breathtaking scenery between the mountains and sea this hotel is fantastic and I can’t recommend enough. I will be back in the foreseeable future. Three people in particular stood out for us… Alex and Semis in the bar area (photos attached) and also a beautiful woman who’s name I have forgotten I’m so sorry, she served us my birthday meal in the Alfresco restaurant on 6th May. Lindos Inperial please make sure this lady is recognised for her efforts just like Alex and Semis, they all made an huge impact on our holiday. Thank you so much!
