Hotel di Riga City Center, Riga

Underwhelming. The general hotel is nice but the rooms are quite modest and the housekeeping service was spotty — no soap in the shower, missed service one day of two. Located across from a nice park but not near the old town. From desk staff were the highlight though — very nice and friendly.

The hotel's central location in the northeast end of Riga's old town made it very easy to explore the city. We were close to the city's main attractions and were within a 5 minute walk to the Cat House, Freedom Monument, Riga/Dome Cathedral, and St. Peter's Cathedral. We booked the room without a window. It was very nicely decorated and the bed was really comfortable. The room was quiet but a bit stuffy and we felt the AC wasn't strong enough. We felt there was still good value with this room though because of the price and there was a lot packed into it. There was a Nespresso coffee machine, tea station, cute tea cups and a large bathroom with a very nice shower. We appreciated that a wall adapter was provided and plugged in that worked with North American style plugs. The hotel is in a building from the 17th century and has a very nice looking mirrored atrium. There is a fun story where a horse threw a shoe, hit this building and stuck so the owner kept it because he felt it was good luck. The hotel has a bar in the lobby as well as a small shop. The highlight of this hotel was the breakfast which had a great view of the city from the window and a very good breakfast. The breakfast had a small buffet with cheese, smoked fish, fresh bread and some other nice choices. We enjoyed the variety of drinks like the rhubarb lemonade and hot chocolate. You can order one hot item which included.

Really amazing hotel!! Very clean, great buffet breakfast. Sauna, gym and jacuzzi are all good as well and the hotel staff are so friendly! best hotel i’ve been to in a long time. Also very close to all the sights

Perfect for staying in Riga and walking almost everywhere! Everything is a stone throw away. The staff are super helpful and the city itself is gorgeous!

Lovely hotel, clean, off road parking. Friendly staff. Asked for coffee sachets in the room, they never arrived after being promised twice that they would be sent up. Dinner was awful, menus not clear as to what was on offer. Buffett breakfast, lots of choice.

An honest review from an British point of view. Location is great, noisy on a weekend if you go to bed before midnight. Beds in the room are very low to the ground with pillows that are awful very lumpy. thin duvets which are ideal in the summer. Breakfast is great. You have to book the Spa if you want to use it at an additional fee 18 euro I believe, I tried three times to say it was full? They admit last customer at 7pm but the Spa is open until 9pm. Over all I would compare the hotel to a Travel Lodge in UK certainly not 4 star high standard. Staff need to learn on how to smile it goes a long way for poor service.

The hotel q d the staff are lovely but there isn’t a reception so you need to wait for an email half an hour before to do the check in. They are very responsive nonetheless and very caring but check out is at 11 and check in is quite late at 3pm which is half a day without being able to get into the hotel. Apart from that the room is good. The bed is a bit narrow but they include two pillows so all good. It’s quiet at night which is essential.
