Hotel Solis

From start to finish we had a fantastic holiday here for our daughters 21st birthday. We had a superior triple room booked. The hotel staff greeted us with a warm welcome and gave lots of advice about local sights and a map which was very handy. We were told the safe in the room was free, which was a great bonus as usually you have to pay. The hotel is beautifully traditional with marble floors and Italian style decor. The lift was in good condition, but as the marble staircase was so pretty we used this most of the time to come and go. The room was spacious and the third bed a proper sized bed not a pull out or camp bed which we have experienced as a family of 3 before, in other palces. The sheets were crisp and clean, the wardrobe spacious and everywhere clean and tidy. Yes some decor is a little worn but for the amazing location and little time spent in tue room at really didn't matter. The bathroom was a great size, good mirror and lighting. Excellent hot water and good pressure in the shower. Room was tidied every day, bins emptied, beds made, new towels, etc which was amazing. Breakfast was 7.30 to 9.30 with a great fresh choice of pastries, cereals, meats, cheeses, bread, etc. The quality was brilliant and great coffee served to your table too. Staff again friendly and welcoming. We asked various questions about getting around to our sightseeing destinations and the staff were all accommodating and extremely helpful. They even booked a taxi for us with no problems. All in all a great hotel in a fabulous central location. We had a fabulous experience and wouldn't have changed a thing!

This hotel is located at the bottom of a street called Via Cavour. It is 10 mins from the main termini station directly linked to the airport. It is 5 mins away from most attractions and has a metro station on it as well. The rooms are nice but a little dated . No kettle but a fridge for snacks and supplies. Fantastic place to stay and the staff are amazing.

Friendly staff, clean rooms, clean towels & bedding. We visited for 3 nights as a family of four & booked again for next January. It’s basic but clean & that’s all you need for a city break as you’re never in your room. Limited brekkie choices but all you need is a cuppa ☕️ & pastry. Very helpful staff when we had noisy neighbours, he was on it immediately & all was peaceful. Checking in with us the next day to make sure we were okay.

The hotel is as dirty as Rome itself. Rome city is uncared for. And neglected. Like the hotel. First of all the hotels lobby hallways and lift are are pretty good. Needs a bit of paint. Then you walk into the room. Just can’t get it. Carpets are worn out, stinking, and so old. Bathroom has been touched for 30 years.. Shower rail broken. Bathroom furniture is terrible. The bed, well. Don’t expect anything. Unbelievably terrible. No cups. No kettle. Just an empty room. Breakfast below standard. Coffee disgusting. Staff were ok. Never made an effort to smile. Or be friendly. Lady at breakfast was very pleasant. Would never visit or recommend Rome For the effort to keep this beautiful city. Is zero.

Room was outdated, we stayed 4 nights and the sheets were not changed. Breakfast is basic - toast, pastries, meats and egg. ‘Superior’ triple room was 2 singles pushed together as a double and 1 single right infront of the foot of the double. Staff were nice, great location and value for money.

Hotel Solis is a nice hotel basic but comfy with no tea or coffee facilities in room but they will make you coffee or tea if you ask. We stayed in room 112, 2 double beds. Staff lovely especially RASHID on reception He's a lovely gentleman. Breakfast room is a bit on the small side, breakfast consists of scrambled egg. Cheese, ham, cereal, pastries, toast fruit juice, tea & coffee. Tour shop is next door so very handy. Hotel is very central

Great location for visiting Rome by foot. Really close to all important touristic attractions and also close to the railway station Termini. Delicious breakfast, thank you Barbara! Things to improve: tv cable didn't work at all times and also the cleaning lady did not pass in 3 days to empty the garbage can.

Really close to everything. Really friendly staff. Really comfortable bed and pillows. Small room, but we were so busy sightseeing that we just needed somewhere to sleep and have breakfast. My only thing was that we didn't have a kettle as advertised

An absolutely fantastic location and as soon as we pulled up outside in the taxi, my partner and I were impressed with the location. The staff were fantastic and it felt like we were guests of a family in their home. The hotel is literally round the corner from the Colosseum and the ruins of many ancient locations. Also the restaurant next door had great food and staff. I have to mention that I left an expensive set of Air Pods on departure and the Hotel Solis forwarded them back to my home in the UK. The Hotel Solis has great staff with honesty and integrity adding to the location and staff friendliness. I will be returning to this Hotel sometime in the future. Exceptional location.
