Villa Della Fonte

I cannot say enough about Giulia and the team at Villa della Fonte. Giulia immediately communicated with me after our reservation to ask how she could help with our stay. She made travel arrangements for pick up at the train station and to the airport. She was so friendly and welcoming during our stay, providing a ton of great food and bar recommendations. The location is perfect, right next to Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere. We walked to so many great restaurants and bars, and the noise level was not as noticeable since they are tucked into a great little alley. The beds were super comfortable, breakfast was yummy, and the rooms were spacious. I would recommend this to any family and friends traveling to Rome and wanting to stay in Trastevere.

My husband and I stayed here for the last three days of our honeymoon and enjoyed our time so much! The customer service is really what makes the experience—Giulia is so kind, making sure we enjoyed not just our stay at the hotel, but Rome overall! She went above and beyond to provide recommendations for where to eat, where to go, and left us a beautiful bouquet of flowers in our room upon our arrival :) The rooms are clean (with so many snacks, coffee, and drinks in the fridge) and the location is great for being so central to bars, restaurants, and nightlife. Perfect for young people and couples who love to eat and drink, but you'll also be within minutes of walking to a beautiful botanical garden. Also, the breakfast is INCREDIBLE. So much amazing food to be enjoyed on a beautiful outdoor / semi-outdoor terrace. It was something we looked forward to each morning that we were there. The terrace is also so lovely for just sitting and enjoying a nice drink at happy hour. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful little place in Trastevere, so convenient for walking to the river, for exploring and so many shops, bars and restaurants also nearby. The staff were all so kind and helpful ... breakfast was fantastic and there's complementary water, snacks and drinks which was such a treat. Can definitely recommend and we will certainly be staying here when we return.

The location is great. The service and all of staffs are perfect. They were so warm and cheerful. I will go back again.

The staff are incredibly kind and thoughtful and made me feel right at home. The rooftop terrace is lovely, as is the breakfast they serve. This property is right in the heart of Trastevere, and I cannot imagine staying anywhere else. I’ll be back!

It was our first time in Rome and staying here couldn’t have been better. Guilia and her staff were amazing, the guest house was so great and we really felt like we were experiencing the real Rome staying there. Wonderful neighborhood, great location and access to everywhere whether walking, public transit or Uber. Just excellent.

What a delightful stay! The small size--only five guest rooms--means that personal ties develop immediately with Giulia, the manager, and maria, the key staff person, both warm and helpful. Our room was comfortable, capturing the historical charm of the building and neighborhood. It was a pleasure to walk down a quiet narrow street off a historic square, turn a corner and see the hotel again! An excellent location, whether for strolling through the historic Trastevere neighnorhood with its excellent restaurants, art venues, historic churches and lovely squares, or for taking the short walk across the TIber River to the historic cener and cient sites, or walking along the banks of the river itself. Be sure to check with Giulia for restaurant recommendations. She knows a number of small restaurants, filled with locals, with excellent Roman cuisine at reasonable prices.

Lovely place, just keep in mind that taxis cannot go up to the front door if you have a lot of luggage
