Hotel 5 Bintang Terbaik di Rostock

We had our family Christmas here. Besides the nice design of the hotel and the clean rooms, there is nothing good about this place. The service here was unfriendly, slow, and disorganized from the start of our booking through check out. The staff seems to be mainly comprised of grumpy trainees. They also don’t seem to speak German or English very well, which understandably makes it difficult to provide good service. The painful experience started with the booking process. Our group wanted a block of 6 suites. The reservations team took 7-9 days to respond between each email, sometimes only after me following up. In the week leading up to our stay, the team was a bit more responsive, but in general they made it needlessly difficult to organize our stay with them. When we arrived, we didn’t even get a “hello” from the reception. The keys were shoved in our face and no info or help was offered (no info about breakfast, where the facilities were, no offer of help with our luggage). Except for the breakfast, the food is overpriced, the selection is not great, and taste-wise, the food was pretty bland and unmemorable. One night in da Mario, we waited 20 mins to get our leftovers packed, and we ended up just leaving as it seemed the staff had totally forgotten about us. Another night in the Brasserie, the staff seemed very annoyed to serve us - to be fair it was busy that night, but our group felt unwelcome and uncomfortable there. They’ve overpriced a lot of their food and drink; make sure to bring your own water bottles or you’ll be stuck paying 7,90€ for 0,5L water. One night we asked for two liters of water delivered to the room; the bill including service charge and tip was nearly 40€ 😄 The last little treat from their staff came today: due to illness, we needed to late cancel two of our spa reservations. When we canceled, the spa generously offered to let us cancel free of charge. However, after we left, their team emailed us to let us know nevermind, we would have to pay after all.

Die Kommunikation direkt nach der Buchung verlief einwandfrei, die Bestätigung mit allen Details kam schnell per E-Mail. Da ich schon öfter im Hotel war, verlief auch der Check-in zügig, weil die Daten bereits vorhanden waren. Auch mein Zimmerwunsch konnte berücksichtigt werden. Das Hotel punktet mit seiner 1A-Lage an der Promenade. Die gastronomischen Einrichtungen decken eine große Palette ab, vom Café bis zur Broilerbar, die Mitarbeiter sind freundlich und serviceorientiert. Im Restaurant ”Dünenfein” wünschte ich mir ab und an ein klein wenig mehr Blick für die Details (z.B., wenn man als Gast noch etwas bestellen möchte) - das war vielleicht etwas dem Stress des Personals geschuldet, war aber schade. Nach einer Delle in der Servicequalität unmittelbar während und nach Corona hatte ich nun den Eindruck, es geht trotz aller Schwierigkeiten (Fachkräftemangel...) wieder aufwärts. Es werden offenbar viele junge Leute ausgebildet - ich wünsche ihnen, dass sie ihren Elan bei der Ausübung des Berufes nicht verlieren. Das Fitness-Center hat sehr moderne Geräte, ich mag auch den Pool. Das Bad im Zimmer schien mir renoviert worden zu sein - was den insgesamt positiven Eindruck verstärkt hat. Ich habe nicht das Gefühl, das Hotel sei ”in die Jahre gekommen”, wie einige Bewertungen vermuten lassen, aber das ist sicher subjektiv. Ich bin jedes Mal gern dort und genieße die Annehmlichkeiten des Hotels. Es ist preislich kein Schnäppchen - aber ich habe meine Wahl für meine Auszeiten in Warnemünde noch nie bereut.

Das Hotel hat eine SUPER Lage im Zentrum bzw Hafen. Der Service war KLASSE. Sehr freundliches Personal, da wir 4 Personen (2 Erwachsene und 2 Kinder) waren, hatte eine Aufbettung gefehlt, die sofort nach Info von uns erledigt wurde. Auf dem Zimmer war viel Platz und alles sauber. Das Bad war groß und eine schöne Dusche. Es gab einen Wasserkocher mit Tee, Kaffee zum selber machen. In der Lobby gibt es Wasser, Äpfle und Süßes zum mitnehmen. Die Dachterrasse im 10 Stock oder höher war für Jeden offen und man hat Liegestühle zum Sonnen und einen SUPER Blick auf Hafen und Stadt. Wir waren alle sehr zu frieden.

The location is great as it is just next to Rostock main train station, and the hotel offer every guests free local transport pass, a nice gesture for visitors in town. For area of improvement, I think the hotel should have evolve from traditional practice(strictly check-in after 2pm) and allow early arrival guests to check-in as long as room is available.

I feel a little sad for this property. A former Steigenberger, it opened more than 25 years ago and you still can tell, a lot of money was spend on the interior back than. But that, as mentioned, was more than 25 years ago! The now Vienna House faces a lot of competition by new hotels (Ana, Premier Inn, Motel One) or recently renovated one (pentahotel, Radisson Blu), so they just can't carry on with the 1990's style - it definately needs a makeover. Wooden furniture with dents and water marks everywhere, yellowed lamp shades, stained walls, carpets and ceilings... it's just not state of the art, anymore. Wifi was very unstable and we encountered an hairdryer without a protective grid which was a security hazard. That said: we slept great as our superior room was totally quiet and we really enjoyed the huge breakfast buffet. Staff was overall courteous and we were granted late check-out for no surcharge. The hotel's location is central with several tram lines just a few meters away and only a short walk to the pedestrian zone. Would me return? Yes, we would as the rates do reflect the outdated hotel's interior and the pros still weigh more than the cons.

Wir haben ein verlängertes Wochenende in diesem Hotel verbracht und waren begeistert! Das Personal ist sehr kundenorientiert, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unser Zimmer war ausreichend groß, ausgestattet und sauber. Das Interieur ist „der Hammer“! Ausgefallen aber stilvoll und wirklich wunderschön. Die Mischung aus Moderne, Natur und Farben ist mega gelungen. Das angebotene Wellnessprogramm haben wir natürlich auch genutzt. Massagen und (kleines) Schwimmbad direkt im Hotel. Die Anreise ging gut, das Hotel ist etwas außerhalb von Rostock gelegen, aber sehr gut zu erreichen. Unser Zimmer war mit einem Doppelbett, einem Schrank, Safe, TV, Nachttischen, Kofferablage, Schreibtisch, das Bad war mit Dusche, Waschtisch, WC, Fön, Schminkspiegel, Seife, Duschgel, Shampoo ausgestattet. Die Speisen würde ich der gehobenen Klasse zuordnen. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen. Das Frühstücksbüffet war „der Knaller“! Ausreichend von allem vorhanden und auch regelmäßig nachgelegt. Einzig, was dem ganzen ein kleines Schmäckle verpasste, war der zeitliche Rahmen, der zugeteilt wurde, so dass man doch auf die Uhr schauen musste. Das Schwimmbad im Hotel ist etwas klein, aber für ein Wellnesswochenende ausreichend. Die angebotenen Massagen waren angenehm, allerdings waren wir von unseren heimischen Massageangeboten etwas anderes gewohnt. (Als Frau hätte ich - bei einer Ganzkörpermassage - lieber eine Frau als Masseurin gehabt. Aber das ist mein persönliches „Problem“.) Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis: Sehr gut Wir kommen sicher noch mal wieder.

Man muss dem Hotel zu Gute halten, dass es erst seit ein paar Tagen geöffnet ist, aber: -die Superior Zimmer unterscheiden sich lediglich durch ca.+ 2 qm von den Standard Zimmern, -die Zimmer haben keine Kühlmöglichkeit für Getränke im Zimmer. Im gesamten Hotel gibt es weder einen Getränkeautomaten oder eine Eismaschine. -die mitgebuchten, versprochenen Fahrräder waren noch nicht da, -die Parkplatzsituation war verheerend, da es eigentlich noch eine Baustelle war ( im übrigen steht der Preis pro Nacht mit 15 € pro PKW in keinem Verhältnis zum Übernachtungspreis), -während unseres 4-tägigen Aufenthaltes funktionierte für das gesamte Hotel nur ein Fahrstuhl, -der Teppich in unserem Zimmer wurde während unseres Aufenthaltes nicht gesäubert. Die Hose meines Mannes war voller Staub, als er sie aus Versehen auf den Boden fielen ließ. Dafür wurde jeden Tag das Bett neu bezogen 🙂. -das Arthotel unterscheidet sich optisch überhaupt nicht vom B&B Hotel genau nebenan. Das hatte zur Folge, dass wir zunächst im falschen Hotel landeten, -das Frühstück für 12€ pro Person ist nicht schlecht, aber auch nicht gut. Eintönig, völlig ungesalzenes Rührei, Fruchtnektare statt Saft. Jeden Morgen absolut das Gleiche - die Lage ist nicht top. Ca. 3 km zum Zentrum, von Straßen umgeben. Im Umkreis von 400 m ist lediglich das Neptun Center mit Edeka und Aldi... Kein Restaurant, keine Kneipe. Zum Stadthafen geht man allerdings nur ca. 10 Min.. Dort findet man ein paar Restaurants. Was war positiv: -die Menschen an der Rezeption waren freundlich und bemüht. -die Straßenbahnhaltestelle war nur um die Ecke, -die Seife in den Spendern roch gut, -es gab den ganzen Tag Café umsonst. Alles in Allem würden wir das Hotel nicht noch einmal wählen.
