Ulasan Hotel Reichs-Küchenmeister

Our experience with this hotel was not good from the start and it did not get any better during our stay but I will try to be objective. We had communication from the hotel just prior about our upcoming stay but at no time did they think it important to mention that a four day festival would be in progress and that roadblocks to the old town where the hotel is situated would be in place. On arrival we were met with the aforementioned roadblocks, lots of people walking around and nowhere to park outside. After driving around in circles and in confusion we finally found a spot to park and walked in and located the hotel. We were told that we would have to wait until after 6pm to bring our car in with our bags. We were eventually shown to our room which was in another building around the corner from the actual hotel. We waited until after six to walk back out and retrieve our car but when we arrived back at the hotel and I went in to see about the car attendant helping us with parking I was totally ignored by the female staff member behind the desk until the car attendant arrived and started arguing with her in front of me. I had to intervene as neither had acknowledged me at all. The car attendant was obviously agitated by this stage and rushed to put our bags on his golf cart snapped at me to get on the back and took off so fast I almost fell off the back along with one of our bags. We had a few other problems with rude staff during our stay and on leaving we encountered more problems with the front desk and the car attendant and trying to get our car back out of their locked space. We had been advised just before arriving that parking would cost ten euro a night but on leaving we were charged fourteen euro a night, at this stage we just wanted to leave and didn’t want another negative interaction with staff. There is obviously a big problem with management at this hotel but it is time they had a good hard honest look at how staff are treating paying customers. On a positive note our room was large, quiet and comfortable located around the corner from the main hotel building and breakfast which was served in the restaurant at pre organised time slots had a good array of typical breakfast offerings. The hotel itself is well situated in the old town. The old town of Rothenburg ob de Tauber is really beautiful and the Witsun festival was fun to see and be a part of. If we had known it was on we would have organised to arrive earlier so we could have seen the main parade which we just missed seeing. Overall the bad experiences we encountered with staff at this hotel overshadowed and tainted our experience of our visit to Rothenburg. I definitely would not recommend staying at this hotel due to staffing problems which goes straight back to management. Do yourself a favour and read through the less favourable reviews and you will see a pattern emerging. Even some of the better reviews have mention of rude staff. It was definitely a Faulty Towers
