Aura Accommodation

就在羅託魯瓦湖旁邊，早晨街邊吃個早飯就能走到湖邊喂鴿子。有個室外恆温泳池，可惜我們去的時候太冷了沒去。酒店離小吃街也很近，晚餐走過去吃很方便。唯一就是前台下班比較早，五點之後到的需要自助取鑰匙，總體很棒的地方。

Aura has motel type rooms but more spacious and with cooking facilities. They aren’t the most modern and high end, but very functional, comfortable and clean. Note that the curtains are very thin and don’t block the outside light much. I’m glad I had an eye mask. The WIFI is terrific and they have Smart TVs which enable you to connect to your Netflix account. Laundry facilities on site—NZ$8 for wash and dry with NZ$2 coins available at reception. Very central—five minutes walk to Tourist Office/Central Bus Station. Close to cafes; spas; restaurants. They take environmental sustainability seriously. The best thing, is the staff. The ladies run the place fabulously. Every interaction with the reception team is a pleasure. Five star hotels should take note of how well this place is run and learn from them. They provided helpful suggestions on what to see in advance if arriving that my research hadn’t spotted. The redwood forest walk with night lights ended up being my favorite activity. Chloe called my international number when I didn’t respond to an email asking at about what time I was arriving (due to poor WIFI) to make sure my room would be ready upon arrival and that I had all I needed to check in. Staff is a class act.

Motel style accommodation in Rotorua. Rooms nothing special but perfectly adequate for an overnight stay. Mineral pool is small but a nice place to soak after a long journey. Very centrally located and walking distance to restaurants and the lake.

We arrived after hours but the routine for late check in had been clearly communicated so we had no issues getting in after a long day travelling. We touched by the welcome message and the extra something we found in our room. It is the attitude of the team that run this place that really makes the difference from the front of house to the cleaners who were all so friendly and welcoming. We didn't get a chance to try the pool or the hot pools but everything else was great and we couldn't have asked for a better equipped, quiet, comfy room with parking. Loads of places for breakfast or eating in walking distance. Great place.

Spent a couple of nights at Aura whilst in Rotorua. Communication for late check in was excellent and the team the next morning were very friendly and welcoming. Parking was plentiful and free. Room was comfortable with all the conveniences you would need - our room had a washing machine in the bathroom too with soap powder provided (useful for washing swimsuits after being in the natural springs), refrigerator, tea and coffee making facilities with milk in the fridge for hot drinks and a selection of teas and coffee. Living room was airconditioned but this was not needed as is was quite chilly. Beds are comfortable and towels are provided. The water took a while to get hot but assume this is due to it being geothermally heated. Whilst there is no food / drink offered it is very close to cafes, bars and restaurants as well as the Eat Street offering a good selection of restaurants. If coming back to Rotorua I would definitely stay at Aura again.

Everyone was very friendly and positive. The location was great - a short walk to the lake and the town, including ‘Eat Streat’ and an drive easy to explore beyond the township. The room was comfortable and well equipped, and we enjoyed relaxing in the mineral bath.
