Ulasan Hotel Litteraire Gustave Flaubert, BW Signature Collection

I like stories written in lobbies, corridors, and rooms! The hotel has nice and essential amenities. The location is excellent in the city center close to restaurants and almost all points of interest. Breakfast is ok, but a little expensive. There are no slippers or carpets in the room and this is a little disappointing in the cold season.

This hotel is owned by the Best Western chain but has good personality - focused on the literary author Gustave Flaubert (who was born in Rouen). Rooms are compact but clean - big windows and blackout curtains - comfortable. Breakfast is an additional 19.00 € per person - pricey. The biggest plus is the location - in the centre of the old town, right next to the Jeanne D'arc memorial church and within 5-10 mins walk of most key sights. Staff were friendly, spoke great English (in case your French isn't good) and checking in was easy.

Hotel in guter Lage, Rezeption freundlich, Zimmer ist an sich gut, leider stinkt die Dusche und das Zimmer riecht nach Zigaretten. Der Geruch nimmt jede Freude.

Great location, lovely breakfast options, comfortable and welcoming room with nice bath. Enjoyable stay all around.

A very well positioned hotel for the medieval sector of Rouen and the waterfront. Good pre check-in available and car parking that was worth every euro. Bang on the Pace de Vieux Marché with an abundance of bars, bistros and restaurants. Also very quiet and calm. If you don't want to lash out on an expensive breakfast there are numerous establishments serving p-d within a minutes walk. Very friendly staff and good bar. Not enough time to read all the books though! Would return.

This 4* hotel is very disappointing, absolutely doesn’t meet expectations- There are not even toiletries usual for any 3* hotel - a tiny piece of soap and a small bottle of body lotion for two different people (not a couple) for 2 nights, no shower cap. The woman at the front desk is very unfriendly -when we asked her -where the rest was, she said rudely -it’s not supposed to be. The only plus is location. Don’t recommend

We enjoyed our stay of one night on our way on to Bayeau. The location is excellent. We arrived by train, walked the few blocks to check our bags, and explored the city. We had a wonderful lunch at gill cote bistro. So nice to be so close to great dining options. Nice breakfast.

A detail oriented hotel themed around famous French writer of the same name. Every room is themed around one of his books or important people in his life and the hotel staff sends you information on the hotel ahead of time so you can plan things to do. Staff is friendly and helpful, the rooms are nice, clean and quiet. The location is perfect, close to parking and attractions.

Delightful quiet hotel at the very heart of Rouen with unique themed decor and staff going above and beyond (special thanks to the young lady who ran to the kitchen to accommodate my request to bring lemon slices for tea to my room). Any Flaubert lover will appreciate the quotes, library, books and showcased items... Located right next to Vieux Marché, yet neatly hidden within a courtyard this hotel is a quiet oasis while at the same time in walking distance from all main attractions : cathedral, St-Maclou, gros horloge, Jeanne D'arc memorial etc.
