Travelodge Ryde Isle of Wight

The hotel is new but room is small. Location is good.

This hotel is actually good, I was wary after checking the recent reviews but I found myself pleasantly surprised. The hotel is recently refurbished and it shows, my room was unsullied by previous guests disruptive behaviours or the accidental throw up stains you associate with Travelodges. The only complaint I have which unfortunately drags the score down is the parking situation. Had I known this before I arrived then I would possibly reconsidered this hotel for one with a payable or free car park! Ll

We stayed in this hotel for three nights. The was very comfortable and clean, the staff were very friendly and helpful, It was also very modern with USB plugs to charge your phone. The downside was it cost £12.60 to park a day. No free street parking.

NEVER stay at this Travelodge!!!!!! You will probably end out with an incredible amount of regret, despite the cheap rate. The moment we checked in till the moment we checked out, there was just so many problems. The car park is non existent. When we checked in, we paid for WiFi and hade received a text or email with the code, the young woman at the counter struggled to give me a code, every other Travelodge I have been in has been able to produce me a code in two minutes. The next morning I had the issue that the code would only work on one device and the staff member had no interest in helping us saying it was not there product and I had to go to their customer service team. During the whole time his mobile was going off and It felt like his priorities were not on helping me. We were woken up at around 1am by a guy who decided to throw a party in the next room to us with himself and what sounded like 40 other people. There was about 2 hours of loud music followed by loud arguing and the throwing of things things at the room and wall. The arguement turned into a massive screaming match between some girls. The night porter was stood outside the room for some of this this about half a metre away and could hear virtually eventually. He didn't seem bothered or capable to deal with the problem at all after knocking and walking away

It was a disappointing stay from start to finish, the keys never worked, the sradd seemed disinterested, the room was grubby, and the parking was complicated, move every hour or pay is the easiest explanation of it. I hope that more pride is put in when I return

My only gripe with this hotel is the keys, they do not work, I stayed for 3 nights and must have had my key changed at least 10 times, I was advised to keep it away from my phone and it still cut out. The parking is difficult but manageable. The room was great, the staff was great, even the builders walking around were great! Fix the keys and it's a 5 star hotel

We stayed for two nights. The hotel, rooms and towels were all spotlessly clean. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Great location for the purpose of our stay.

It's unfortunately just not clean enough, I may have only spent around £60 for the room but it's not good enough. There was no cleaning fluid in either or the hand pumps in the shower or on the wall, the toilet has obviously been given a quick once over but no bleach or similar product has been used. The way the beds are presented is horrendous, I do not know if this is a isk of wight method or a new Travelodge method but it's left untucked and incredibly untidy. A first impression is a lasting one and my first was of a poorly made bed. Travelodge was my go to brand but this visit has left a sour taste in my mouth!
