We booked here last minute - which was great. Parking was free which makes a difference to most places and our balcony had a beautiful view of the harbour. The rooms are modern, clean and a decent size, with maids coming in each day to change bedding and towels. The pool area is small but peaceful and lovely - we came in September so out of season. 10 minute walk down the hill to the old town and tonnes of beautiful restaurants. We included breakfast, which if i’m honest was nice but definitely not worth the money. You got 1 pastry each, and 1 bread roll with an orange juice and coffee or tea. Not what we expected but was ok, nice but just different to other breakfasts we’re used to getting in hotels around France & other places. Staff were friendly, and we felt safe. Very handy for nice & villefranche sur-mer centre.

Decent modern hotel. We had a suite which was good size, modern shower and lovely views. Outdoor pool area is relatively small but not overcrowded. About a 15 min walk down to the front which is a bit of a climb on the way back up. Have to take a point off for the standard breakfasts - the coissants and pain au chocolat were soggy and the worst we've had anywhere - disappointing given where we were, service also very poor. Needless to say didn't try dinner at the hotel - not that we would have anyway with a selection of very good restaurants with 10 min walk. Reception staff helpful.

Absolute lovely Hotel the top of the cliff overlooking the bay of France tremendous swimming pool beautiful room overlooking the bay. Great breakfast lovely staff superb location although it is a bit of a walk into the main town but fantastic swimming pool facilities et cetera et cetera I will definitely be with revisiting this place.

Lovely hotel - staff helpful and friendly - would recommend. Great bay views from room and restaurants. Walking distance to sites and cafes. Good car parking but close to bus stop and well serviced by Uber/taxis. Speak English so easy for communications

A 3 day stay at Hôtel Le Versailles for work in the local area was a welcome stop. It is easy to sniff at a 3 star hotel, but this place warrants its star, nothing more, nothing less. sat atop the Bd Princesse Grace de Monaco with panoramic views across the Villefranche bay. The bar and restaurant were closed during our stay and so a venture into the local eateries was needed. The rooms are basic but functional. The swimming pool located on the 4th floor is a good size and finding a lounger was easy enough. Breakfast is a simple but decent fayre, although additional options is €18. All in all a decent stay in a great location.

Gorgeous views from the room and balcony, an inviting pool with comfortable lounge chairs, friendly people at the front desk, and a delicious breakfast. What's not to like? Also, the bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious, and there was plenty of storage space. The housekeeping staff did an excellent job of cleaning the room every day as well. In short, Le Versailles is a wonderful hotel, and we're already planning a return stay for next year! Tip: There's a #15 bus stop just across from the hotel which will take you to the Nice Port in ten minutes, and from there you can walk along the quay to the Cours Saleya in Nice's Old Town (getting the bus tickets is a bit tricky, though--it's best to buy them at the Nice train station or the airport).

We had a fantastic stay! The room had two rooms and a large bathroom in between. It was clean, large and perfect for a family of four (7yr and 9yr old boy and girl). The pool was lovely with plenty of loungers and it is only a short walk into the centre of the village. Gorgeous view out over the bay and all the anchored Super Yachts. Pool menu was lovely and fresh- Greek Salad was delicious! Breakfast a bit over priced for what it was however.

I can see why the Hotel is 3 stars, rather than 4, however this Hotel is far better than most 4 stars. Firstly the staff are very friendly, I have never checked in so quickly. The Air Conditioning along with the Bathroom facilities were better than most 4 star Hotels. I would recommend taking the breakfast, it’s served to you, off a limited menu, but more than enough and it’s a lot more relaxing than a buffet. The Restaurant is not part of the Hotel, but again the staff made you more than welcome to sit on the terrace for a drink, you cannot charge to room though, but that’s not an issue.
