Very convenient location but the restaurant next to the hotel is certainly not up to the standard expected. Fortunately the hotel is near to the Centre of Salisbury and you can easily find a good restaurant for dinner there

Tired hotel, not up to the usual PremierInn standards. I’ve had a far nicer experience at other places in the chain, this one seems to have been forgotten about. It wasn’t even that cheap when it come to PremierInn. The room smelled of air freshener. Milk curdled (3 times!!) when making tea in room. Tatty room and fittings Poor restaurant management - we, a family of 4, were refused breakfast because we had not pre-booked! Unbelievable.

The hotel itself is not too bad apart from the god awful smelly stuff they must spray in the corridors. The restaurant!! The Social, what a joke!!! They had run out of beer! The menu is very limited and overpriced! The staff have not got a clue! In need of some serious customer service and waiting service training. I had the burger and chips! Or should I say CHIP! 15 chips looking very lonely on the plate! My wife had a pizza, it turned up cold! Called the waitress over and all we got was a blank expression, she did not have a clue what to do! I suggested she took it back to be warmed up, again just a black expression. Eventually she got the message and took it away. When it returned it was fine but not a word of apology. After finishing our mains were left 20 mins staring at out empty plates! We gave up with desserts and went to pay, the waitress didn't know how to work the till! The manageress came over to take our payment, never asked if all was ok! So I told her how awful the whole experience of dinning there was, she didn't care! All in all a very disappointing experience. Can only recommend you find elsewhere to eat.

Hotel smelt musty. Our room was damp and musty with big wet patch on the carpet where someone had attempted to clean something up, was stained and horrible. No staff available on reception, and those there were in the bar being rude and abrupt to other customers. Breakfast was ok what was available, no eggs or bacon, people queuing. Overall worst premier inn experience!!

Be careful if you order breakfast. The cooker was not working so we could only have toast! Apparently it stopped working the previous night but we arrived at 10.30pm checking in so surely we should have been told. Not impressed! Beware The room is fine though

Unfortunately this stay fell short of the normal standard expected from a Premier Inn. The room had an uncomfortable mix of different decor, as if it had been half renovated. The room was dark in general with poor lighting. There was no air-con available, a fan was provided but was noisy and ineffective. A plug was provided on only one side of the bed. The bathroom was unappealing with a stained shower curtain and mouldy grout. In general, the design of the room was poor and did not seem to have the guest in mind.

Check in was a non event. The girl looked as if she didn't want to be there and there was no pleasantries, she didn't even inform us of breakfast time. The room was clean and comfortable however, the breakfast was one of the worst that I have ever had. Sausages, undercooked, greasy bacon and the hash browns were overcooked. The coffee was really poor.

Nobody on reception to help or welcome on arrival, very poor menu choice for evening meal (ate at pub instead), breakfast late (35 mins) due to the late arrival of chef (left without eating). Also noise outside of room in evening from smokers (appeared that they were staff). Poor standard/value for money and typical of the decline in services recently from this company. Will be reluctant to book with them again.
